Alas- it was one of the worst eating experiences on our 2 week road trip. Biggest problem- only one server for the entire place and she had to do it all except for actually running the grill. When food was brought out we had an item missing- a shake that was never made or brought to the table even 45 minutes after ordering it. The Philly cheese steak was cold and had clearly been made and stood for some time before being brought out. The BLT was cold, as was the chilli. The chicken on the chicken salad had also clearly sat for quite a while before being delivered to the table. Another big problem was cleanliness. The floor was dirty. The room had flies buzzing around. At one point the server dropped a tray of coffee mugs and clearly broke several. She didn't sweep them up. A few minutes later, a busser came out from the back and kicked a broken piece of cup along the floor. He just left it there rather than picking it up. It was still there in the middle of the floor when we left. They did remove the shake that never came and the 2 items that were cold and not eaten from the bill. The dressing was almost tasteless. The green bean casserole also disappointing. The gravy ok. The mashed potatoes were without flavor. I tried to doctor up the dressing by adding celery and onions with seasonings. Sort of helped.. We also ordered the brunch . The egg casserole was fluffy and tasty. Link sausages were good. However the hash brown casserole was basically shredded potatoes drenched in a sour cream something or other. Tossed it. Cut up fruit good except pineapples were on their way out. So that's the last time I'll take the easy way out by ordering from HyVee. Past years were much better. I'll try other venues perhaps. Otherwise Hy Vee has been a favorite grocery store for years.

I ordered 2 Ham Dinners for two and 2 Turkey Dinners for two. $280.00 First issue.... When I arrived to pick up my meals, only 1 Ham and 1 Turkey Dinner was waiting on me. Ok.. I give Hyvee creds on how they handled this.. They first offered for me to wait and get the other 2 meals ready. Then I asked if they could just refund me half the $280.00 back to my card. They did.. and the guy gave me a choice of pies for the trouble.. This is not Hyvee store employees fault. They worked with me as quick as they could.. Now for the FOOD. With the ham and turkey dinners came sides. The Green Bean casserole. The french fried onions were soggy. The taste was that of green beans raw out of a can.. THERE WAS NO FLAVOR... The what was called Holiday Potatoes with Cheddar.. Well lets just say this was hashbrown potatoes covered in some sort of cheddar sauce and cream cheese. And all you could taste was cream cheese.. The Rolls were kinda stale... The DRESSING, well tasted fairly good for stove-top stuffing, which basically was all it was.. Although, it must have been frozen at one time, because it was watery before heating up.. The Pie was really good.. The HAM.. Was really good.. Yet.. it was just ham.. other than tasting like ham.. there WAS NO OTHER SEASONING...... The TURKEY, well HAD NO FLAVOR. NO SEASONING..I swear it was boiled. the skin was rubbery.. The truth is. THE TURKEY was the worst turkey I have ever tasted. In my opinion... NEVER GET A TURKEY MEAL.. NEVER GET THE HOLIDAY POTATOES and NEVER GET the GREEN BEAN CASSEROLE... I would have had a tastier meal from McDonalds or Taco Bell........
