by far the most thorough and cleanest most professional office I have been to in many years. Whether I am seeing Dr. Howard Hertz, Dr. Jared Hertz or Enbal Mouissaef or Ryan Baker, I have never left the office less than completely satisfied. I find comfort that they're open seven days a week and if you get sick on the weekend, you don't have to go to urgent care or the emergency emergency room. You can just go to your doctors who know your history. Ii'd like to add in addition, how on a recent visit my husband had with Enbal, it was her expertise insisting he had further testing done which picked up an 85% blockage in the main artery of his heart. My husband and I have been seeing Dr Howard for over 20 years and are throughly pleased with him and his office. The staff is wonderful especially Robert who is so efficient! I could not be happier with the level of care and attention to detail they both practice on a regular basis. They take the time to listen and give sound advice. Their review of tests and scans have proved to be accurate. I would recommend these two gentlemen to anyone looking for sound competent care! They both represent class at the highest level! The wait to see them maybe longer then normal but they afford every patient the same level of care and time needed to properly care for them. A small price to pay!!! With regard to the office staff I find them lacking in follow up and attention to detail which is the polar opposite of the Doctors there. Although I've been to this practice before, I brought my 18-year-old daughter for her first non-pediatric visit. She has a lot of concerns, has long had difficulty being taken seriously at the pediatricians' practice, and increasingly complained of discomfort and palpitations for over a week prior to her visit. I booked through ZocDoc, so it didn't actually generate a true appointment with the younger Dr. Hertz. I would have understood being moved to a different day, but on a busy Sunday, they still fit my daughter in to see the other Dr. (Howard) Hertz. Yes, there was a wait, which is to be expected on a Sunday and I brought a book. My daughter wanted to go in alone (her first time) and she was very apprehensive, and had been distressed in the days prior due to intensifying discomfort and broad symptoms. She came out of her visit extremely relieved, her concerns addressed, and with some testing appointments scheduled. She is afraid of blood draws, and said the nurses gave her an alcohol pad to sniff (normally I am there with her, so she was probably more anxious). In her entire medical history, she has always felt like any symptom she asked about was unaddressed, and the change in her demeanor after her visit was immediate - she was no longer scared she was seriously ill or on the verge of death. So on a busy Sunday, Dr. Hertz had a billion patients and still managed to make my sensitive/shy teenager feel heard, seen, and safe. I wasn't present so I didn't get the chance to explain her distress and discomfort, and he and the nurses noticed and addressed it anyway. My daughter is relaxed now and feels relieved, and I am so impressed that every person with whom she interacted made her feel safer and calmer. And I finally got to read my book! read more

On my last appointment I was held in the waiting room for over an hour, after an hour I was begging them to lower the music from the television it was inappropriate and too loud, the nurse very nasty told me she couldn't, after another 20 minutes I started yelling in the room because I was having a literal anxiety attack (in which I see them as a patient for), after begging for some sort of idea on what was taking so long and why they couldn't lower the Broadway musical streaming on my television , the nurse again very nasty told me I'm not allowed to yell and they'll see me whenever they get to me. On my way out she was very disrespectful and said rude things about me to the doctor. A couple of days later I received a letter that Doctor Jared Hertz was dropping me as patient. Who keeps people waiting for appointments for over an hour without letting the patient know what's going on? Who streams inappropriate Broadway musicals on extra loud volumes and when a patient respectfully asks at first to lower it you are totally uncooperative? Seriously it was a dial on the wall, you couldn't lower it? That nurse ( not Erika she's a sweetheart, the other one) is a sadist, she shouldn't be working in Healthcare or near people with any sort of medical problems. She must have gotten some weird power trip torturing me. It saves us trouble doctor hertz because I was not going to be returning to you as patient and will be further advising anyone to stay far away from your office in the future. read more

Over the past year I've had 10 office visits with Dr H Hertz during which I've been consistently treated with courteous attention by his staff and with conscientious care and respect by the doctor. I rely on his obvious diagnostic talents and the advice he provides, all of which are rooted in years of medical and life experience and on. I'm bewildered by the low rating average of 2.5 on this site and find it telling that the average rating for Babylon Medical across multiple other rating sites is 4.3+. If you've suffered a long wait at the doctor's office perhaps it's the result of an earlier medical emergency and not a personal affront. If a staff member is less than polite, consider for a moment your own approach. read more

I am not one to write reviews. However this experience bothered me so much that I must put this out there. I tried calling the office to speak to the manager to express my concerns and talk about my experience & I was given the turnaround. I booked an appt. at this office based on the Zocdoc reviews I read here stating great customer service, great bedside manners and I can confirm this does not exist here. I literally experience a horrible time at this office as a first time patient. I arrived 30 mins early to my appointment in case they needed me to sign complete any paperwork. I sat in the waiting room for a hour and half before being called in. After I was called in, I was taken to the room with a medical assistant. There she offered to do different sonograms on me for my thyroid and other sonograms. I replied back stating I don't suffer from any of these items. Why would I need to complete this for? Her response shrugging her shoulders, I don't know. I replied back, I would rather wait for the doctor to see me and assess whether or not it is necessary for me to complete any of these sonograms. The fact that they have medical assistants offering you to do sonograms that you don't really need without being assess by a doctor is unnecessary. That just sounds like they are trying to bill me for different exams for no reason. Then I waited another 30 mins in the consultation room waiting for the doctor to come. The doctor finally came to the room. He was a nice man however, I felt like he was brushing me off. I stated my reasons for coming and wanted to run by some concerns I had. He assessed me ask me a few questions, then told me follow me. We walked to the hallway, he made a phone call and then gave me a paper and told me he was going to refer me to get a exam then shook my hand. I then told him but I'm not done with the consultation, I wanted to address some other health concerns I had. He then said ok what else? He didn't even take me back to the consultation room he had me address my concern in a public hallway. That felt very uncomfortable for me. He then said I will send your prescriptions to the pharmacy and wants to see me in 2 weeks and walks away. So I figured okay, I guess ill go to the front desk to schedule my appointment for 2 weeks. The girls in the front desk are so unpleasant & have a huge attitude towards patients. There was no one standing in the front desk but me. I was standing for 5 mins, and I had to tell the girl hello in order for her to assist me. She then says yes- I tell her that I wanted to schedule a appt. She does it then tosses me a card with the appt date and walks away. No ok you're all set, thank you, nothing. Fine- I then go to my pharmacy to pick up my meds they said they didn't receive anything. I go to the pharmacy the next day, they claim they didn't receive anything. I call the doctor's office, this girl named Erica answers the phone in a rude tone and then gives me attitude that my med was sent to the pharmacy. I explained I went the day before and am currently there and they don't have it. If she can please help me. She said we already sent it yesterday. I then asked can you please send it again. She said she did. 15 mins passed they didn't receive anything. The pharmacy was nice enough to try to call the office to obtain the medicine. They called 4 times- 2 times they were redirected to a machine by the front desk. The other two times, they were left on hold and then hung up. I was already furious because this office staff is not being efficient in helping facilitate with this process. So I called again demanding to speak to a office manager & was given attitude and told why do I need to speak with a office manager. I reiterated again my concerns and was told we sent it yesterday. The fact isn't that you sent it yesterday. The fact is that you guys are giving me the turn around and not helping me get my medicine. I was then transferred to a MA , who I had to tell her I was going to transfer her to the pharmacist so that they can get the prescription. Staff members of this office- you are in the patient care field. This means you have to be friendly, patient, and respectful to the patients you are dealing with. Do not take your frustrations on the patients because you are miserable. That is not fair to anyone. Do a career change if you are not happy. I highly recommend that you do not waste your time visiting this office. It's a horrible experience don't waste your time & go elsewhere. You are treated poorly , unprofessional & they want you to take unnecessary tests for no reason. read more

When I was diagnosed with cancer of the unknown primary in July I needed a medical quarterback and Dr Hertz has been an MVP for me. He put me in touch with the best doctors and helped me process what was happening and what was yet to come. One small example of the type of doctor he is: on my first visit he wanted to take some blood, they all take the blood, and there wasn't a nurse nearby. Rather than leaving me and having me wait however long for the next nurse to come available, he took it himself, right there on the spot. I respect that. Yes, you will wait a very long time to see him, but IMO, it's worth it. I just put it into the expectation and it's fine. It's worth it because of the quality of care you get and you get his focused attention and time. I'm not rushed. He sits with me and talks to me... human to human. That's why you wait. I am a new patient of Dr. Hertz. I had blood work done, and when I called the office to receive my results I was unable to reach somebody. After calling five or six times I finally left a voicemail because I was never able to reach a live person. I also had a prescription sent in to the local CVS that required a prior authorization. It is almost a week later and I have not received the prior authorization or a phone call regarding my prescription status from my doctor's office. I would not recommend this office. If I could give this doctor lower than 1 *, I would. I should have written this a long time ago when my sister, who is mentally disabled was patient of Doctor Hertz. I dropped her off and had to go to my own appointment. Due to a medication the doctor gave her it caused my sister to make verbal sounds and he asked her to leave his office. Dr. Hertz called me up on my cell phone and told me he's leaving my sister outside the office and that I should pick her up he does not want her in the office because of the noises she is making. He literally left her outside! I should have reported him to the American Medical Association back then. Fast forward to today, I called because I found out that my old cardiologist is in his office. I wanted to make an appointment with him. I called on Monday to make an appointment, gave all my information, and was told someone would call me back. Today is Friday and I called to find out that this cardiologist is there for convenience for his patients only. I said I used to be a patient there with Dr. Hertz, but I left because I couldn't spend two to three hours waiting to see a doctor on my weekends. I was told that Dr. Hertz does not accept patients back into practice if they left for any reason for being unhappy. What an ego on this doctor. read more

I feel so betrayed, So We went in to have a form completed for my moms job, when my mom approached the front desk the girl I believe Jennifer looked at us my mom asked her if Lora was still there and she looks down and totally ignored her Dr. Hertz called her and she walked away and left us there totally ignoring us with the only attitude, another front girl that was there looked at us and asked us what we needed so as we were speaking to her that other girl came back and tried asking us what was it that we needed, so I told her we were fine and that we were going to continue speaking to the other girl because every time We go there she had a really bad attitude towards us (Not front desk friendly at all) And that we weren't animals, to treat us like one, So she got up went to the doctor and lied and told him I said that every one in there were animals which I don't see why would I say that if my issue was only with her, after we leave 5 minutes later I received a phone call from the same girl in a sarcastic voice saying well Dr. Hertz said he'll no longer be your doctor And that we were dismissed from the practice, UNBELIEVABLE we were in Shock we were his patients for years even brought my grandma as a patient, and we never ever had any issues with anyone we are very polite and all smiles at all times, we really thought we had a relationship with this Doctor but Obviously we were blind. After calling back to speak to him or the manager expecting that at least he would hear our side of the story NOPE not at all, not a curtesy call nothing at all only from Lora the manager to confirm we were dismissed by the doctor himself, that's when we realized This Dr. was not sincere at all, all he cares about is obviously money, But the funny part is how fake this girls are, they be in the front all mad eating him alive talking in Spanish about how he bothers so much that his annoying and always demanding things, and how tired they were of him and that stupid music that they had to listen to all day, not once but few times we over heard them, even my Mom wanted me to tell him and I told her let's mind our own business, But seriously things got worst in that practice you don't get a phone call for results and when you call in they have a nasty attitude and put you on hold for ever and then tell you your results plain blank over the phone, and God forbid you need a referral " If you're appointment is at 10 go at 12:30 because that's when you'll be called. Tried to get in to weight management and they postponed three time, only one of which they called to let me know. At an appointment with Dr. H. Hertz, I had a question and he told me to make another appt. Wasn't able to get a Dr. to help me with my medication, went 2 months without. And lastly I've been trying to get medical records for over six months, no phone call, no help. I think they are to big to help their patients properly, which is really sad. The staff have all been helpful. The office environment is beautiful and feels like an old New York social club. TERRIBLE Practice! Beware! Staff is extremely rude - it's almost as if they are annoyed you came to see the doctor (HELLO - your patients coming in are what your practice relies on to stay open!). They ignore you when you are standing in front of them and they all bad mouth each other and their gossiping is more important than their work. You can never get thru to them - I just waited on hold for 15 minutes and then they disconnected the call. I've been calling for over a MONTH to pay a bill but no one answers!! I've been here twice ever - as a new patient I was subjected to all these crazy tests (thyroid ultrasound??) - I went in for FOOT PAIN! And I got an Electrocardiogram (ECG), an Echocardiogram, a nerve test, and a thyroid ultrasound. Seriously?? My end result was I'm carrying extra weight from my recent pregnancy. On top of that - I had an appt with Dr Jared Hertz and was 10 mins late so they told me BECAUSE I was late and HE was running late in a meeting and had people before me, he wouldn't have time for me so I needed to see the practictioner (the ONLY good thing about this office). So the girl at the front desk gave me an attitude because I was late (and I called before I arrived to be sure it was OK) - Regardless if I was late or not - you were going to pawn me off. I have been coming here for a few years now. I see both doctors Hertz and Ryan. No complaints at all. The office is one of the nicest I've ever been in. It has the feel of a century old hotel in decoration. Tv's in every room. All equipment is up to date and it has a clean feel. The front desk, at least with me, has always been just fine. Plenty of parking. I don't understand some of the negative reviews I've seen for this location. Most I've ever waited was slightly over an hour and that was a last minute appointment.
