I get called into a room at 2pm, and proceed to wait another 30 minutes without the doctor ever coming in. I walked out, and told the receptionist (?) that I simply couldn't wait anymore, and wondered why someone couldn't have the courtesy to call me if they know he's running so late? You know, a little consideration. Of course, she had an attitude in her reply. Her excuse was that they didn't know he was running that late until I came in. Right. The guy before me who had a 1:30 appointment didn't get called in until 1:50 and who knows how long he waited after that. Time to find a new doctor, perhaps one whose staff has some respect for patients' time. And the best part was that she asked if I wanted to reschedule. You have to be joking me, lady. Awful.

They are unorganized, so I stopped going there and switched to Stony Brook Hospital Hematologists. I first tried seeing Dr. Yelda Nouri. She quickly stated something briefly. Then she rushed me out the door. I tried to ask some questions. She replied in about five words. Then she left the room to make more money by seeing more patients. She does not care about patient's health; works only for money. Dr. Nawaz is brilliant and kind, yet runs 45-60 minutes late. The Patchogue location has poor quality sensors for the water to turn on in the restrooms. The water turned on for only one second, off four seconds; on again for one second; then no more water at all from the faucet. I have never experienced such poor water sensors before. I almost began to bleed caused by so-called blood specialists. They seem to have no idea what causes eczema. My fingers within two minutes became cracked, peeling and almost bleeding from this location. Patients with eczema, beware. In general, NY Cancer and Blood Specialists has some good doctors, some not so good, and the quality of everything else is poor.

- made two appointment back-to-back for myself and my then 16 year old daughter for annual physical…read more- at the "physical" we endured a bunch of unnecessary tests like EKG (what 16 year-old needs an ekg? - saw the doc together for a total of maybe 5 minutes - was prescribed medications we did not need - didn't get the incentive my emplyer gives for annual physicals because the practice didn't bill it as a physcial - had a charge in my EOB called "ENCEPHLGRM" which they told me was an EKG (I'm an RN I know that's not the code for an EKG) which of course my nsurance did not pay for bc it was not necessary - not was it performed bc I didn't have one ended up with a $400 bill PER PERSON for a physical that should be covered under my insurance!!

A new patient date would be about a month away 2. I couldn't get a physical the same day 3. They wouldn't accept my insurance 4. Every other place couldn't be bothered with me because I was new It was all so frustrating until I finally found this place!! I called on a Monday afternoon and got an appointment for Tuesday at 9am! I was able to get in, fill out all the new patient paperwork and get my entire physical done within an hour. Every single staff member that I encountered was so sweet and friendly. The doctor was thorough and kind. The waiting room, testing room and examination room were fantastically clean and decorated nicely. I am SO beyond happy I found this place and would recommend them to everyone and anyone!!

Talk about a CAN DO attitude! She couldn't have been more responsive and compassionate . Together we got all of this red tape resolved and I was in the office seeing Dr Herman in just a few days! Dr Herman is also a warm, caring Dr who doesn't think within the box and understood exactly where I was coming from and what I needed. TLDR: Dr. Quraishi is a dick, and his assistant is useless…read more I went to this practice after my MRI showed acute stenosis in the lumbar region of my back. I chose the practice b/c my FIL has been seeing Dr. Waqaas A. Quraishi for ESIs for many years. During our first consultation, he spoke only to my husband while ignoring me. During that visit, I told him there was only one pain med I couldn't take because it made me so ill I couldn't eat, and it made me suicidal. After the first injection, I went to my CVS and found that he had prescribed that exact med. I called the office and was told there is no note about it in the file. He changed it to Gabapentin but was doling them out 14 at a time for me to take at bedtime. After the second injection, I called and left messages for Kathleen, his chirpy assistant who said, " Here's my direct line, call me anytime" for three days in a row. Crickets. On the fourth day, I called the receptionist and told her that if it was not taken care of immediately, I would show up in the waiting room and make a scene. Twenty minutes later, I got a call that it was done. When I found a new pain management doctor yesterday, he immediately diagnosed bursitis in my hip and offered to do the procedure then and there. I asked him about refilling my Gabapentin, he said, "Sure. Three times a day, right?" I was stunned that I could take it during the day as needed.
