I went in for a yellow fever travel vaccine, and although I scheduled the appointment with the wrong doctor, Dr. Gross was kind enough to squeeze me into his schedule. However, after going through a list of recommended vaccine--emphasis on recommended, Dr. Gross seemed upset at my choice to only get one vaccine since I couldn't afford the others. He never what I wanted to do, he just assumed that I would go through with what he recommended. When I corrected his error, he judged me for it. I expressed that I couldn't afford to pay the extra $300+, so he asked, "Well how much was your trip?" not knowing that I fundraised a lot of money to go on this trip, only to be shamed in a doctor's office for basically being poor. AND he didn't even give me a bandaid afterward, I had to ask for one and apply it! Unfortunately, I won't be going back.
