I was guided every step of the way and made to feel very comfortable. Everyone was very patient with me and kept answering my questions until I understood what was going to happen. Everything explained was exactly what happened. Very minimal scarring - If you ever need thyroid surgery, Dr. Shifrin is the surgeon you want to do it!

I can't say enough great things about Dr. Shifrin and his entire staff. I had a large nodule that…read morewas pushing up against my windpipe and making it difficult to swallow. After my needle biopsy showed a positive reading naturally I was very nervous. I got in to see Dr. Shifrin within a week of the biopsy results to come up with a game plan. I'm on blood thinners so it makes for a complicated case. He did another ultrasound on it to confirm the size and he thought its in my best interest to remove the whole thing instead of half bc if the surgical biopsy came back positive then I would have to go back in and remove the other side. With me being on blood thinners for life it would be dangerous to stop again so that's what we did. Leading up to the day of surgery I kept in contact with Amy C who coordinated all my visits and paperwork. She was awesome! She took all my nervous calls and calmed me down every time. Post surgery I was swelling up pretty good so I reached out to Amy who then connected my with Tara the PA. She got right back to me in between their scheduled surgeries and saw me to look at the swelling. She and Dr. Shifrin both met up with me and did another ultrasound to make sure there was no fluid build up in my neck. After they saw me they went back to their next scheduled surgery. Tara followed up with me for the next couple of days to see how I was doing. The pathology report came in within a week and it was positive for papillary cancer. Tara called me again to go over it and was very compassionate and calmed me down. I just had my 2 week follow up with both Dr. Shifrin and PA Tara Corrigan and they were pleased to tell me that all the cancer was removed and I'm free of it now. My family and I thank everyone there for walking with us through this tough scary journey. If you're shopping around for a thyroid surgeon and happened on this review please take my word and come see them. You wont regret it!

I have had diabetes for a number of years and take insulin, Jardiance and Metformin. I have…read morerecently developed symptoms of what they suspected to be Cushing's disease. Now that I've had an MRI with and without contrast that shows that is not the case (I only know from a visit to my PCP this week), I literally cannot get an appointment to figure out what's going on, and why I have a bunch of new symptoms. The office staff are very nice, but they don't answer phones. You can leave a message and get a call back, however I have left three messages without a callback. Their preferred method of communication is via email, and in the past they have responded quickly. Now my emails have gone unanswered. I haven't been able to get an appointment to even discuss the test results. I'm a good patient. I eat well and exercise. I'm polite. I'm always on time for appointments. I feel foolish for waiting 45 minutes to an hour or more in the waiting room for years, for every appointment. If they would have had the courtesy to just send an email stating I'm no longer a patient there I wouldn't have written a review. Instead, I waited months to hear back. Shame on them! My PCP prescribed medication renewals since I had run out of most. I have an appointment with a new endocrinologist coming up in August. Had I realized I'd been dropped, I would have sought a new endocrinologist sooner since it takes months to get those appointments. I look forward to a new level of professionalism since I have another specialist in the new endocrinologist's office, and she is wonderful. I feel like an idiot for not giving up sooner. Shame on me. And thank God for my PCP.
