Horrible!!! Run extremely late. Like almost 2 hours. Dr Patel is rude and was mean to another…read moreelderly patient. We will NOT be back. SEEK ANOTHER doctor and company.

Doctor Eric Jennings at this location was highly recommended by a friend…read more When we had our first consultation with him, Doctor Jennings explained everything very thoroughly about Cataracs surgery and he answered all our questions. We saw a video and how the surgery will be performed. He explained about the healing process and how to apply eye drops and also about the restrictions after the operation. After the consultation we met with the insurance lady who explained about the insurance process and gave us some paperwork. Each person at this office was very pleasant and professional. We were very happy about this location because it's conveniently located close to our home. When it came time for the follow up visit, after the first eye operation, we were able to get an appointment for the next day after the surgery at this location with a different doctor. That was fine too. However, after the second eye surgery, our appointment at this location was cancelled. Reason was that there was no doctor available at this office. So, we had to drive far to another Woolfson office located at a very congested area in Atlanta. Again, the staff was nice. But we do not want to go back to that location because of the construction work going on nearby. The saga continues! We were able to schedule the next follow up appointment in Canton, GA. That was nice because we saw Doctor Paven Korotana who was at the Atlanta location. She was very nice and informative. Hopefully she will be at the Canton location for the next follow up visit. Overall, we are very pleased with the quality of care that my husband has received from Woolfson Eye Institute doctors and staff. The only complaint really is having to drive around Metro Atlanta area for different appointments,

I saw Dr. Leung on 6/24/2025 for an assessment on my left eye and this was the worst experience…read moreI've ever had with a doctor. Everyone I encountered was kind with the exception of her. I want to share my experience just in case you are considering GA Retina Specialists. During my appointment, she told me that she needed to perform a procedure on both of my eyes, which was very surprising to me. She was very cold when she said that I would have loss of vision if I didn't get it done immediately and didn't want to answer any questions. When she told me about the procedure, she made a comment that I needed to be back at noon and she was only staying that late because of me. I offered to come back the next day because she seemed upset that she had to stay and she abruptly said no and left the room. After being dilated 2x, I went home and came back again at noon. After waiting an hour, I was called back and dilated a 3rd time and then asked to sign 2 disclosures. I couldn't read the disclosures because both of my eyes had been fully dilated but I was told that I needed to sign. Upon signing, I was taken into another room to have the procedure done. While she was performing the procedure, she kept yelling at me and telling me not to move when I was being as still as I possibly could. After yelling at me, she would stop herself and then say, "I know this is hard, you're doing a great job." It was very odd and came across like she had this type of feedback before and remembered that she needed to try to be kind. After the procedure, she walked me to the front, said she needed to see me in a month and promptly disappeared. There were no post procedure instructions. I was just told to make an appointment and go home. I had no idea what to expect when I got home, nor what my eyes should feel like. I've never gotten a procedure without post procedure instructions. I shouldn't have to google what I should/should not do after a procedure. Although I didn't get kindness nor post procedure instructions from her, I did get a $1600 bill. If you are considering GA Retina Specialists, please be careful of which doctor you see. Based on their reviews, they seem to be great doctors, but I would not recommend her.

I've been going to Georgia Retina for 3 years, and I can confidently say I won't be returning…read more I have a rare eye defect, which means I require consistent evaluations and clear communication from my specialist. Unfortunately, that's not what I've received from Dr. Leung. Every visit feels rushed. She talks so fast, it's hard to fully grasp what she's saying--let alone ask the necessary questions about my condition. It's like she's in a race with herself. For three years, I've been given the same script with little to no effort in explaining changes (if any) in a patient-centered way. My most recent appointment sealed it for me--she rushed in, said a few words, and rushed right out. That's not how care should feel. I wouldn't recommend Georgia Retina based on my experience. Patients deserve more time, and clearer communication--especially when dealing with something as important as their vision.

I've always thought my eyes (6.0 and 6.5 with astigmatism) could never be corrected with Lasik, but…read moreafter learning it's possible, I was determined to do it. The initial assessment was very nice, there were only a few people there (went to Dunwoody location), and the doctor that did the assessment was extremely knowledgeable and wonderful at explaining everything. I had to go to the Galleria location because they had the more specialized laser for my horrible prescription. I wasn't really nervous, but excited to finally have the procedure. I was a bit put off at first (not to the point I'd reconsider) by the sheer amount of people there for Lasik-- and ONE doctor. It's definitely a mill. They must make a fortune. Second, I was put off by the doctor. He looked really rough-- like a homicide detective or military captain. Like he's been beat up a lot and doesn't shy away from a good fist fight (LOL). He smiled a lot, to make me feel more comfortable, but he didn't really try to answer my questions and seemed annoyed (some of the things he said to expect were NOT what the doctor who did the assessment said-- he didn't have any interest in hearing it). All said, he did know how to use the laser and corrected my vision just fine. The surgeon is just one of many of the cogs in the wheel, there is no patient-doctor relationship, and they make it very impersonal and sterile to manage expectations (IMO).
