What was intended to be a joyful family outing turned into a distressing experience due to the conduct of the camp host. My father-in-law and his wife had made a reservation at Juniper Campground for the weekend and invited my family to join them--myself, my two sons, and our grandchildren. We were all excited to spend quality time together and to try out our newly purchased travel trailers. As first-time trailer owners, this was meant to be a fun and educational experience before the camping season ended. Unfortunately, I had previously purchased concert tickets for an event at Mountain America Center in Idaho Falls scheduled for Saturday evening. My sons and I decided to briefly leave the campground to attend the concert and return afterward. We left in the early evening and returned around 10:20 PM. Upon arrival, we found the second entry gate--through which we had originally entered--locked with a padlock. We then drove to the first gate, which had rising arms and red LED lights, but it did not respond. I exited the vehicle to search for an intercom or manual override, but found none. While attempting to look up a contact number, a white truck with an orange cone in the back approached rapidly. The driver, who identified himself as the camp host, immediately confronted me in an aggressive and profane manner. He shouted, "What the hell are you doing at my gate?" I calmly explained that we were campers returning from a concert and were trying to re-enter the campground. He responded with hostility, saying, "The gates are locked at 10 PM. Didn't you read the rules?" I replied that we had not received any rules, as my 78-year-old father-in-law had checked in first and inadvertently failed to pass them along while we were focused on setting up our trailers. The host continued to berate me, accusing me of lying and using profanity such as "Bullsh*t, everybody receives the rules." When asked for our campsite number, I was momentarily unsure, as my father-in-law had directed us to our spot upon arrival. While I searched for the information, the host continued to question our motives, saying, "Why are you leaving and returning to the campsite this time of night?" I explained our concert plans, only to be met with further disbelief and ridicule. He mocked my Van Halen t-shirt and claimed, "Nobody goes camping to leave for a concert," and "Those bands sucked. The last time I saw Van Halen was in 1979." At this point, I attempted to clarify our situation, but the host warned me that if I raised my voice, he would not allow us back into the campground. After locating a screenshot of our reservation details, I showed it to him. He finally allowed us entry and handed me a printed copy of the rules, stating, "Next time, read the rules." This interaction left me feeling humiliated, belittled, and treated as though I were a criminal. The camp host's behavior was not only unprofessional but bordered on harassment. I understand the importance of rules and quiet hours, but they should be enforced with courtesy and respect--not hostility and profanity. I am deeply disappointed by this experience and will not be returning to Juniper Campground. I'm leaving this review to ensure others are aware of the treatment we received. Guests deserve to feel safe and welcomed--not intimidated or verbally abused.

Colter Bay Campground is one of the most north within Grand Tetons. It's a great option for people…read morethat like walking around. The lake trail is right there with a great view of the mountains. It also goes to the colter Bay village. We stayed in E. At the village junction turn right and stay right if tent only. That road is a bit pot holey, especially on the way out. The staff was chill at the entrance. There's a bunch of trash and recycling. Each camp site is roomy with a nice picnic table and bear food holder. The bathrooms mostly worked; they are from 1950-1960s. We were between 2. They don't have dish washing station but more a toilet to flush dish water. The one was out of order. The bathrooms weren't warm so maybe the heaters weren't on or working. Everything worked at them otherwise. The showers are in the village area and $5. There's an attendant. Laundry is also there.

Quite literally I cannot recommend this park highly enough. It is one of my absolute favorites,…read moregiven the beauty alone but also the accessibility, proximity to a fun town (Jackson) etc. The airport actually is within the national park (only park that has this feature), so if you land on a clear day you get a STUNNING view of the Tetons mountain range just to the west. Jackson is a 20ish min drive away, or if you go north toward Yellowstone you can pass along the scenic byway and stop along any of the turnouts for INCREDIBLE pictures, including the famous Mormon row. Go into the park toward Jenny lake for some of the most iconic spots, or a solid hike. Delta lake is a hard hike but it's STUNNING, and of course the hike +- the boat ride across Jenny lake to Cascade canyon and hidden falls is as stunning as they come. Oxbow bend is gorgeous for views and chilling too, and I saw folks fishing over in that area. Be aware that the lot at Jenny lake gets INSANELY full despite the fact that it is MASSIVE and has an overflow area, just cause the park is so popular. It is absolutely worth it. Do not miss this park - it lives rent free in my head and every time the weather is good outside I think about hiking in the Tetons!

For an after hike spa and relaxation experience, Granite Springs Pool may be the spot for you…read more There are some great hikes in this area and afterwards a Granite Springs visit is a must. You'll travel south from Jackson to the Hoback Junction, traffic circle 3/4 turn. Take US 191 12 miles until you reach gravel/dirt Granite Creek Road taking a left. Do not go by the Yelp address listed as it's incorrect, and I haven't been able to find the specific address. Be prepared for an 11 mile bumpy ride while viewing gorgeous Granite Creek running through the Gros Ventura Mountains in the Bridger Teton National Forest. At the end of the road Granite Springs pool awaits you. Check for current pricing before you go, only open in summer (by car) and winter (by snowmobile, skis or dog sled). Also, important to note, you'll have no cell service within this area. Soak your cares away while enjoying the gorgeous Mountain View and the evergreen forest.

Small cars would not be recommended because there are tons large holes. The drive continue on the road and you will dead end into this destination. Walking up to the springs. Looks like a something out of a bad movie. Or the movie Vacation. Kinda scary or weird. Run down with shacks and satellite dishes. Once inside. There is no food or drinks allowed. So don't try it or you will get yelled at. The cost is for 1 hour. So plan on being booted after your hour. There are no towels or enough chairs. So be prepared to sit on the ground. The pool is cracked and run down. But once inside the water it is quite enjoyable. Our family had fun and it was a good experience. I would recommend based on the fact it was a fun time to get to swim in a natural environment. Overlook the pool cracks and moss growing it was worth the drive.

In other words, this creek is gorgeous--you must see it. I came to Jackson for a retreat over the weekend with Junior League CARE Fair directors and chairpersons. Every time we left and returned to our cabin, we got to enjoy this view. We even had the opportunity to walk alongside the creek. It was very easy and the view will vanish every worry you have. There are several well made bridges that you can walk/drive over as well. Area is very clean with crisp blue water. It didn't look too deep, but it was so perfect that to even dip my feet in the water seemed offensive to mother nature. Not to say I wasn't tempted. Overall, I probably wouldn't drive 5 hours just for this one creek, but the surrounding contains so many scenic opportunities that you have to hit up this place if you're in the area. Situated deep within the Gros Ventre Mountains east of Jackson and Hoback Junction, Granite Creek -…read morethe campground, the waterfall, and the hot springs - are pure Wyoming outdoors magic. Sure, the mountains here don't captivate you with their granite-tipped titillation, and there aren't the glacial lakes that you'll be mesmerized by in Grand Teton National Park, nor will you mistake this area for the magnificent Wind River Mountains, the Bighorns, or the Snowy Range, but my oh my, Granite Creek is one pretty, pretty piece of nature. The USFS campground is one of the best I've found in the northern Rockies, with great sites overlooking the creek and sheltered by pines and awash in wildflowers from mid-June to August. The Granite Creek Falls are powerful to behold: not ethereal like Yosemite or awesome like Niagra or Multnomah, but what they lack in vertical elevation and volume they make up for in up-close-and-personal intimacy. You can literally dip your toes in the raging white torrents that fall from above into a creek that is so pure and clean that moose, elk, bear, and cranes simply love to stay here. You'll also find a superb CCC hot springs up the road, where you and your friends/family can soak in bliss while enjoying easy access to the Gros Ventre wilderness a mere mile or so up the main trail that follows the creek to its source. If you are in the Jackson Hole area, a side trip to Granite Creek - on dirt and gravel roads well maintained by the Forest Service - offers you another glance at Wyoming's wild lands that you won't find at Grand Teton. The falls are a great side trip, as are the hot springs, and the campground is well suited for car campers and RVers alike. All in all, this is a part of the Cowboy State that I never tire of seeing, season in, season out. Who needs to stay in Jackson for hundreds of bucks when affordable, adorable places like this are so close and enticing?

We bare had 6' between us and our neighbors with very little space outside to enjoy. It was like having someone in your site all day. After 10 it did go pretty quiet, so kudos for enforcing quiet hours. Outside of that, because of the proximity to each other, it was a madhouse. That was probably mainly because neighbors had little respect for others. I also, noticed the electric service had reversed polarity at our site. I must say it was a full weekend. Every site was filled. I would come off season where your not subject to sardine stacking. The surrounding area is nice. I would recommend Aspen Grove across the road. Very nice!

Great location | Friendly, helpful staff…read more We stayed here one night on our Yellowstone-Grand Tetons roadtrip. We took site 71, which was close to the front office and one shower location. This is such a cute little spot with nice cabins. The setup is really nice, allowing people to hangout at the fire pit right outside cabins and gather for some games too. Check in was quick and easy. Maintenance showed us where our site was. It is a level gravel spot that fits a 24ft sprinter van, plus hookups. The showers are smaller at the front office, but I didn't mind because I'm used to small KOA stalls. These are individual bathrooms. There are four and some have chairs and others don't. I must've showered at the right time because it was incredibly clean. Good ventilation too. The other location for showers is near the pet park area. There are 6 spacious rooms/stalls with a sink and mirror. Overall, this is a cute place that is well maintained. The staff work hard and are very helpful. It's just a short drive to downtown and the cowboy coffee drive thru.

They light fires every night and it has a nice feel to it. The cabin was tight for the 4 of us, but it was cozy and we all slept great. We were at the Tetons and in Jackson most of the time anyhow. It is about 15 minutes from Jackson. It's right on the snake river and walking down there was a treat. The place is very quiet and the water pressure in the shower was GREAT! I'd stay here again!

There are some long term rvers but not that many. The prices is very good and you have lots of choices of types of sites. The place was well manicured as far as the grounds and we were able to park on a grass area which was awesome for our dogs and well appreciated. The bathrooms are definitely outdated but they were clean when we were there. It is in an industrial area but once in the park you can't tell. There is no access to the river from the park however you can ride a bike a short distance to the river walk which is so beautiful day and night. We never tried the pool so not sure how that rates but there were plenty of people using it. I had limited interaction with staff but what I did have was pleasant. I did ask if our spot was shady and she said it was which it wasn't. That would be my only complaint. I'm sure if I spoke up I might have got moved but that's on me for not asking to be moved. This is not a luxury park but I would stay again in a heartbeat mainly for the landscape, grass sites and being dog friendly.

If EMF's don't bother you, enjoy the convenient location, the fairly clean (old, but acceptable) bathrooms/shower house & full hookups. There's even a small pool the kids enjoyed. We had a tent site & our trailer. The downside was that they didn't turn off the sprinklers, so at 1:30 AM they sprayed the tents, soaking them for 1/2 hour. All in all we enjoyed our trip, but had to go home to recover.
