This particular city listing had certain bold paint colors other than the typical staged white, and the Staging Tree worked with the colors for a modern yet homey feel. Their team understands proportion, and it felt like the furniture was made for the space. The inventory is high quality. Many times potential buyers asked if the sellers were still living in the space, because it did not feel staged... meaning, the furniture had a nice flow and the kind of lived-in quality that helps buyers immediately see a place like it's their home (rather than the sometimes stiff or uncomfortable effect with other staging). One of the best things about the Staging Tree is the option to pay with credit card, which is very rare with stagers. So helpful for sellers who are incurring a lot of other preparation costs. They staged whole house (5 rooms - three bedrooms, 1 living room and 1 family room, as well 1 kitchen with dining area and 1 kitchenette in law downstairs! And 3 areas in backyard!) We spent quite a bit of time on the esthetic and quality of furniture expected and the type of accessories they would recommend. In short order got an estimate that seemed reasonable and scheduled them to stage. And here's what happened: - the couch was worn and had visible scratches, the pleather was soiled and coming and torn in some places (covered by a blanket) - the armchair had a crack on one of the arms and unstable legs - artwork, while appropriate for photos, was dirty with cracked frames - electrical/cable cords were left in plain sight, we had to get wicker baskets to hide them - dining table was scuffed and unstable - the books were dirty, soiled and worn - you can find better at a garage sale - patio furniture was scuffed and in bad repair - Accessories came from Target, IKEA, Trader Joe's and Marshalls - WITH THE SALES TAGS STILL ON (see photos) - small plastic flowers from Dollar Tree When I called about these items I was told that "it was their esthetic". They did come over to replace the broken arm chair and the patio furniture, remove some of the plastic accessories that were most offensive, clean the artwork, etc. As to replacing the larger pieces that were clearly not of the quality we expected when we signed the contract, we were told that their inventory was low. We have worked with multiple stagers in the past but have never experienced such poor quality of product. If the team knew that they did not have enough inventory to perform the job they should have been honest from the on set and not taken on the job.
