Amaya does not honor his booking or warranty his work. I paid him $800 to fix a small crack in my corvette fiberglass fender. He said it looked like a surface paint crack and after around 6-7 hours he was done with some surface sanding, paint and then clear coat whole fender. July 2019. He said to wait for 3 weeks before I had XPEL plastic re-applied. When they came to apply XPEL they said they wouldn't touch it because there was a crack in the paint. Wow. same spot as original crack. After 8 weeks of badgering Amaya and making appointments that he did not keep, he finally came over and grinded a grove in the crack and applied some epoxy. After another 4 weeks of badgering he did come over to apply paint and clear coat. A week later I'm contacting him that the surface is rough and doesn't look good. He say it only has to be buffed out. After another 3 weeks or badgering, he does not even respond. Three different shops have said it's a mess..still wet..not properly applied and has to be re-done. Week of Nov4, 2019. Still no reply from the ghost, POS, Amaya. But I intend to find him. Beware!!!! Pay for a reputable shop..not a fly by night A-hole that has no integrity or skill!! read more

With all the positive reviews I decided to give this a shot. I used the website to request a quote online to which I received no "prompt response" as stated in the automated email I received once I submitted. This was one week ago today. I also tried the phone number provided to which I received no answer (which I assumed was due to business load). So I left my call back information after the voicemail prompt and still have not received a call back, this is now 5 days after I called and a week after I submitted my request online. read more

I recently had a driver in front of me kick up a tire carcass which resulted in a crack on my bumper. Amaya came out to my house on a Saturday. Got his work space set up in my driveway, and started working. Some hours later and it's like it never happened. I am really impressed with his positive attitude and his hard work. He is a professional, and after all is said and done it was about 1/3 of the cost of replacing the bumper and having it repainted. Paint Guy Mr Amaya is the best in town. He gives you his direct number, he shows up, works quickly, and the prices are the best in town. Quality is absolutely outstanding. Very pleasant, treats you like a concierge service. Is in constant contact unobtrusively. Could not be nicer. He hooks you up with other car services if you need someone. I drive a great deal between hospitals, and with all the nicks, chips, low corners, pothole damage, inconsiderate drivers, Houston will leave a few marks on your baby. This is the guy for your car. I contacted Houston Paint Guy to paint the water fill compartment on my new RV and to repair some deep gouges on the left side of my coach. Upon contacting him, he was very responsive and informed me what needed to be done prior to making my repair. Amaya arrived on time this afternoon and the repair that he made was nothing short of "Outstanding". The repair was so excellent that you only knew it was there if you saw it prior to the repair. The paint was a perfect match and all of the gouges were eliminated. Excellent craftsman and reputable businessman. He will definitely be on my "Go To" list and can repair any vehicle that I have in the future. I got a major scratch on the door of my Porsche Cayman S driving on the newly opened segment of the Grand Parkway; I went around to a lot of other body shops in the North Houston area, a lot of body shops wanted to simply paint over the whole door, but I wanted to keep the original paint as much as possible. I found Houston Paint Guy on google and viewed his instagram account, and I saw a black Porsche almost just like mine with the same Carrera wheels, too! I was impressed because it looks like he had a lot of experience working on high-end vehicles so I contacted him with pictures of my vehicle so he was able to give me an online estimate, and arranged for an appointment later that week. Amaya is very professional with his customers and tells you exactly what he will do before he does it; the best thing about his unique service is that he comes to you (home or work) and you don't have to feel uncomfortable giving the keys to your precious car to somebody you don't know; and if you want, you can even see with your own eyes everything he does! His work isn't cheap, but I was pleased with the quality of his work and he even gave me a little bottle of touch-up paint from the left over unused paint. Submitted online request for quote per their instructions on August 8th. No response. Followed with email and voice mail on August 13th. Still no response. Finally send another round of email and voice mail on August 18th. Again no response. I would not waste time trying to gift these people with business. They neither respond to inquiry through their designated online quote system, nor do they answer voice mail or written correspondence. I noticed from a previous post that this seems to be a common problem with this service provider. read more
