I was tired of the constant "where are my keys?" panic every time we left the house, so I finally called Houston Locksmith to bring our home into the 21st century. They installed a sleek smart lock that works perfectly with my phone, and now the convenience of keyless entry has completely transformed our morning routine read more

This was the only place I found that could copy my key that needed to be copied. Besides that, they have some serious hardcore CIA level safes that could potentially survive a nuclear blast for sale here. I'm just going to say if you need anything involving a key or safe you are safe to give this place a visit. read more

Got all the keys you'll need for duplication! Great place and reasonably priced! Everyone was super friendly!

Called them today to fix 2 locks that have been problematic - one was a deadbolt that wouldn't even allow the key to turn, the other to my yard gate that had been getting stuck every other time I went to open it (the actual locking bar worked, but stopped going into the hole - an alignment issue). A few things that made this company stand out, and why I'll call them if I ever need a locksmith: 1. I called them at about 11am, and was able to secure an appointment for 2-4pm, same day, on a Sunday! 2. The number you call, connects you to the actual locksmith, not a call center. 3. The locksmith, Vinh, texted me when he was on the way, and arrived at the earlier end of the appointment block (he arrived right at 2pm). 4. They accept credit card on the spot (I've used locksmiths in the past who have tried to push for cash or check), and I'd much rather use card (for points, and to limit exposure). Fair pricing, great locksmith, on time and fast service! read more

Very affordable prices and friendly staff. My car key broke in half and my local Lowe's, Home Depot, Walmart told me they couldn't duplicate a broken key. These guys save the day! read more

My sentry safe batteries died on me and the gentlemen here were able to open the safe and help me out! Great service and amazing people! read more

Houston Locksmith - Houston locksmith - Keys & Locksmiths Near Me - Houston, Texas

A quick overdue review on the service provided by Kevin at Houston Locksmith. Changed out several door locks and provided an education on the types of locks. Also appreciated the focus on safety during this pandemic. Will definitely use them in the future. read more

After a burglar stole our house keys on his/her way out from a shopping spree in our home a couple of months ago, I called MyHoustonLocksmith.com, simply because they were highly listed on Google as well as other sites. Kevin, the locksmith they sent out, was on time (we were in a bit of an emergency state), courteous, and very knowledgeable. He offered (but did not force a sale) to upgrade my locks to the high-security locks for which they are an authorized dealer. These locks are expensive, but WELL WORTH IT, TRUST ME -- READ ON! So, our house having just been violated, in spite of my significant other's recommendation to just replace the locks with normal products, I purchased the high-end locks, as well as the recommended reinforced plate that was screwed 6 inches into the door frame. Would you believe that this recommendation potentially saved our lives, and our property? Just the other day, someone, AGAIN, attempted to break into our home!!! This time it was in broad daylight, with my significant other being at home!!! The thief tried to pry open the door with a crowbar, but was deterred by the equipment that MyHoustonLocksmith sold me. The guy couldn't budge through, and the door held fast -- it's all beat up and ugly now, but it held. Having bent up our locks, the company immediately sent out another technician, Vinny, to replace our locks at a discounted price (not much, but the goodwill is already there, and I don't fault them making money -- they truly earn it). Vinny was great, and took his time to ensure our property and locks were secure, once again, going the extra mile to make sure everything was installed properly -- he even drove in some extra screws, making it virtually impossible for anyone to get through the door now. These guys are professional, experienced, friendly, and fast... and the above story is true. I'm very serious when I say they quite seriously may have saved our lives. If you value the safety of your home and family, put your trust in this locksmith company. Unless they ever shut down or move, I'll never call anyone else. read more

I have sold homes to a lot of people, and one of the most important recommendations is to change the locks around your home. When I purchased my home the first thing I did after closing was to search for Locksmiths. I happen to find them by sitting at a red light, and decided to pull in to see if they handled re-keying home locks. Needless to say after speaking with the staff there I knew I found the right place for the job! They answered my questions without running out of patience(Yep I talk a lot!)! Short and Sweet Part: Professional, Extremely Friendly, and I would definitely recommend them!! read more

Talk about an honest and genuinely good guy. I brought my broken door knob in here to see if they could take a look at my lock and offer a replacement that would work with my existing keys and he offered to fix mine for free because it didn't need to be replaced... without even taking money. Not to be outdone by his generosity I insisted I pay him something so he relented. But this is exactly the type of business I want to support. Wow, I'm still just so surprised. read more

Some how the inside dead bolt locked when leaving out for errands. I looked on yelp and this place popped up. The lock smith had to climb over my patio and get me in that way. Cost was $65 for coming out and $20 for unlocking. From initial call to completion it took 30 mins total. They were fast, efficient, and friendly! I would totally recommend. read more

Difficult key, but they gave me a couple of trials without charge. I'll go back and pay because 1 of the 2 keys worked. This place has a very customer-oriented approach to service, and I will be returning for any other key or lock needs. They have a good selection of safes in the store. read more

What fantastic service even though it became clear that my problem may not be with the key -- perhaps with subsidence - for iron garden gate. They made every effort to offer a solution which eventually meant I probably needed to call the fence company for help. I have not had this level of courteous service for a long time. read more

Houston locksmith saved the day. My car was lockout the night before. I did some research on locksmiths and found Houston Locksmith promising. I called the next morning when they open. I spoke to Paul and he dispatched a locksmith to my address with a estimated quote. James arrived under 30 minutes and after some paper work, started to unlock my car. It took James about 10mns to unlock my car. As explained by Paul, payment can be made by credit card. James ran my credit card for the amount of $85.00 as disclosed by Paul. In the past, I had locksmiths quote you after the work with hidden fees. Houston Locksmith was up front about their fees before I commited to the service. Fast and excellent service. read more

Call these guys! Don't Google! I must have called 20 listings on Google and got the same answer $25-30 to come out and the service starts at $35 per lock. No one was willing give a concrete quote or a price. The problem with that is they take money to come and then tell you it's $65 to rekey every keyhole/cylinder. What you don't realize is that your deadbolt has 2 cylinders. So, if you have a house with 3 doors you are looking at ($390+$25 to come out). Additionally, I found out that when you call listings on Google, it's a call center and NOT the Locksmith Company. Thank God for Yelp! When I called "My Houston Locksmith" I was actually speaking with a person at "My Houston Locksmith" office. She was very curious and had great customer service skills. They were honest and up front with me on the price and they also emphasized the importance of a Certified Locksmith vs "Google who know what Locksmith". She had techs all around Houston and since I called on a weekday she was able to find a free tech the same day. The technician was on time and was very professional. He had all the right tools and seemed very knowledgeable in his domain. While doing the work he explained to me that he pays out of pocket for his certification and license annually and that his company provides him with continues training. In about 35-45 minutes he replaced a total of 9 cylinders / keyholes in my house and all I paid was $200, which included the fee to come out. I highly recommend My Houston Locksmith. read more

I had a unique key that was difficult to duplicate. Even though I came back a couple of times, they took care of me and even made more duplicates for free. I highly recommend this place. read more

I had looked for roof rack for '13 BMW X3 for months to no avail. Paid for internet service new key and didn't work. Earnest at counter fixed in 10 minutes and I havE functional keys now. Thanks, I should've come here first. read more

This is place is friendly and kind. The people who work in this shop know what they are doing. I have been visited this store many time for many years, every time they resolve my issue and provided an explanation of the problem. The explanations help me understand what the cause is and how I can prevent. If something simple like tighten the core, and only take a minute, they did not charge you at all. I saw the tech after make the key copy for a car and walk with the customer to her car to make sure the key is working before letting the customer go. That is customer services. You will not get this kind the service from Home Depot or Lowes. read more

Great place! Friendly people and great service! I came in to get a key fixed and they did it very quickly for a great price. Highly recommend coming here! read more

I have been getting key's made here for years! Very professional, super nice and really know their business!

There are many other locksmiths in town, I wouldn't use this one. Full disclosure, I called Houston Locksmith before leaving this review, no real interest in addressing the issues. The locksmith gave me 10 minutes to arrive to the house, upon our arrival gave so much attitude we nearly asked him to leave. He worked like a pig, trash and tracking dirt and water everywhere, in and out of the house. He had a small vacuum, but that was no use for the mess he caused, then proceeded to thank us immensely for helping him pick up, but asked if he could borrow our broom and dust pan. We had a lot of work done, and I provided all the hardware needed, not sure why this had to be a debacle in the process. I will try a different locksmith next time I even think about needing another. read more

Quick, knowledgeable, and friendly staff. Very helpful and the service was great. Thanks!

I think this place is great. They met all my needs with no hassle or stress. I went in based on the recommendation of my friend to get my key and broken lock fixed and she turned out to be right! Everyone was helpful and Jason in particular was very attentive. If I have any future lock or key issues, I know exactly where to go. read more

Paid David $65 trip charge, $30 for mailbox lock, $25 to pick lock. I wasn't expecting to pay the $25 to pick the lock. When we talked on the phone, picking it sounded like it was part of the service to replace the lock. The review below saying it's a $35 trip charge or whatever is wrong. I even asked David about it and he said "they lied". He was professional and quick, but the added charges made it an unpleasant experience read more
