Excellent reviews at Eyescript prompted me to go ahead and make an appointment. Great location, plenty of parking. Very thorough and courteous office staff. Dr. Nguyen is wonderful! She did a complete eye exam, not only for me to obtain a new prescription, but to adequately check the health of my eyes. She questioned me extensively about glaucoma (family history, especially) and asked whether I had been informed previously about my apparent indications of glaucoma. Stumped, I told her that nothing had ever been mentioned to me, and I had just had my eyes checked a little over a year ago. Apparently, there are indicators that I may be developing this eye condition and these indicators have been present for years. Wow! Immediately made an appointment for a glaucoma screening. I did get a new prescription that will hopefully help me see better than I do now -- thanks to Dr. Nguyen for taking such painstaking care to make sure I was happy with her recommendations. I will be back (obviously), and I would not hesitate to recommend her and this location to anyone needing an honest, thorough eye exam.

Dr Chen was knowledgeable, pleasant and I could tell he was focused on the customer experience. He took time to double check her current prescription and make sure everything was perfect instead of just rushing the process. There was also someone at the front desk that helped adjust my daughter's glasses and she was very helpful. She showed my kid how to properly take off her glasses and shared what kind of frames she should get next time so they do not slide down her face. I appreciated the time she took to do this. The office is in the Woodlands and I live in Cypress. Even though it is far, I will return for my own exam and glasses.

First, I was charged an additional fee that was not covered by my insurance, but no one informed me about the extra charge beforehand or asked for my approval. In my experience, if there is an additional charge for a service that insurance does not cover, the patient should be informed in advance and given the opportunity to approve or decline the service. More concerningly, they took my glasses to measure the prescription. When my glasses were returned to me, I noticed a very noticeable scratch on the right lens and two lighter scratches on the left lens. I immediately pointed this out, but they denied that the damage had occurred while they were handling my glasses. Every time I went out of the house I cleaned my glasses and inspected them carefully, there were no scratches there before. For the first time in my nearly 40 years of wearing glasses, my glasses were scratched by an eye care provider. Although I ordered these glasses last year, they had been kept in their case because I was still wearing my other old glasses. I have only been wearing this pair for about two or three months, and they are still relatively new because I am a very careful person when it comes to my glasses. Because these are rimless glasses, I take extra care when handling and cleaning them. I paid approximately $400 out of pocket after insurance for these glasses, which have progressive, high-index 1.67 lenses. I'm very upset and saddened by how this situation was handled. I'm considering seeking help to determine what consumer or regulatory remedies may be available. I will not be returning to Glimpse Eye Care. They have lost my family's business.

I would go again if my insurance doesn't change, but I will never buy frames or lenses there. Get online! Do your research- search for online glasses providers. A lot are legitimate now!
