Since, I've gone to Strong both for optometry and ophthalmology and they never let me down. As a type-one diabetic, eye health is especially important and I wouldn't trust anyone else. Dr. Pezzia is especially outstanding: always kind, patient, and extremely diligent in monitoring how my eyes change over time. She's never shy to tell me where I need improvement, but never in a reprimanding way--only aiming for improvement. I've always had good experiences with Strong Vision's support staff as well, where Cinthia was especially kind and professional during my recent annual visit.

I was taken aback having never experienced this protocol before. Usually, insurance information is taken upon arrival and certainly if there is a protocol to take insurance information before arrival there isn't a threat of my visit being cancelled. #cattlemanagement #noCUSTOMERservice This immediately let me know that this was not a place that put customer service as a priority. I arrived at check-in, was seated and waited on the young lady to come and get my preliminary exams completed. She was distracted by keekeeing with her good girlfriends... I mean this really threw me for a loop. I thought I was being punked... I was sitting up there bare-faced half blind with my blurry vision. She got my glasses in her hand and she chit chatting catching up with her friends... All I could do was say WOW.. shake my head and patiently wait on her to finish her conversation. She wiped down the areas with alcohol that I would place my face on to examine my eyes. She didnt allow the areas to dry down before she instructed me to place my face on the machine. She took me into the other room. The visit went accordingly - doctor came in examined me, discussed implications and options, and concluded my visit. Immediately after I left my face started to burn and blister. I called back on Monday and sent over pictures of my injury. The office manager said that I wasn't injured and that my blisters looked liked pimples. No accountability, no accommodation nothing... This place needs to be shut down or the optometrist needs to find better office managers and technicians. I've been wearing glasses since I was two. Never in my life have I ever experienced a visit like this before. I'm horrified at the way I was treated. The best thing I can say about this visit is that I discovered a new allergy. I'm allergic to direct contact alcohol on face.

After discussing with my husband his experiences, we noticed that it was different from mine where his optometrist placed the photos on the screen and deep dive into his eyes, while I never discussed mine. I had an overall good experience and I understand if people make mistakes. But it rubbed me the wrong way when I had to reach out days later when I wish it was proactive on their part to make sure I was getting the service that I paid. I wish they called me to inform me first about the mistake versus finding it out by my husband days later that I had to call. Imagine if other people paid for the service without even getting the true service done. I still overall had a good experience with everyone with the friendly staff and I'm glad the optometrist spoke with me over the phone about my eyes, which then informed me I needed to see a referral. Last time I was here, it was shortly after businesses opened after Covid closures. I was required to wear a mask then, and obviously complied because every business and medical office was requiring them. Made getting an eye exam extremely difficult -- lenses during the exam kept getting fogged up, then wiped, then fogged up again until finally the doctor decided that I should probably take off my mask so I could actually SEE and complete the exam to get an accurate prescription. Well, that was then . . . And this is NOW. You are STILL required to wear a face mask here, even though the CDC no longer recommends them and every medical office I've been to in the last year has dropped that requirement. Not here, though -- if you don't wear a mask, you're not getting an eye exam. Even though I explained about my prior experience (the fogging, the wiping, the fogging again and the eventual removal of the mask), I was told that "we require you to wear a mask throughout the entire exam." See ya! Made an appointment with a different vision center so I can actually get my eyes checked without all the nonsense!

The front desk staff was excellent!…read more I debated on writing this review. But here I am writing it. It is not a "safe environment" for same-sex couples. Yes, I understand we all have opinions, and obviously, this review is not for heterosexual couples. My company is progressive enough to cover my domestic partner and the children of my domestic partner. I took my two kiddos and partner in for an eye exam. They all have different last names than me. The doctor must have noticed that because when he took our 14-year-old daughter back, he started questioning her about the relationship and who the mom was. Who I was in relation to her. It was just a very awkward conversation to have with any patient. Let alone a 14-year-old girl. I get people committing insurance fraud. But, call my insurance company after the visit. Don't question a young girl. Yes, I took into consideration that my 14-year-old could have been dramatic. But she has never said anything to this degree about any other appointments or doctor visits we all attend. Again, the front desk staff is great, and again, I'm sure "normal" families have more than a great experience here. This review isn't for the "normal" families.

Excellent reviews at Eyescript prompted me to go ahead and make an appointment. Great location, plenty of parking. Very thorough and courteous office staff. Dr. Nguyen is wonderful! She did a complete eye exam, not only for me to obtain a new prescription, but to adequately check the health of my eyes. She questioned me extensively about glaucoma (family history, especially) and asked whether I had been informed previously about my apparent indications of glaucoma. Stumped, I told her that nothing had ever been mentioned to me, and I had just had my eyes checked a little over a year ago. Apparently, there are indicators that I may be developing this eye condition and these indicators have been present for years. Wow! Immediately made an appointment for a glaucoma screening. I did get a new prescription that will hopefully help me see better than I do now -- thanks to Dr. Nguyen for taking such painstaking care to make sure I was happy with her recommendations. I will be back (obviously), and I would not hesitate to recommend her and this location to anyone needing an honest, thorough eye exam.

A year ago, the optometrist we went to wouldn't even try. That was not the case here. They did not give up and got extremely valuable information that we would not have gotten otherwise.
