Everyone has bias, but admitting you won't do business with anyone due to ageism is horrific, especially considering she had no idea of our age. Basically after a miscommunication on her part regarding consignment percentage (she wouldn't admit that 2 people heard her misspeak her own terms - fine it happens) she began insulting/gaslighting us: that we had an attitude, and that we're "younger than her children" (which is laughable because business is business). She also seemed to imply when we first discussed our consignment piece that we had a forgery or stole it. We've been buying and reselling vintage merchandise and antiques for years. so for her to assume before she had seen the piece was pretty funny. We're talking about a hand signed and numbered Robert Rauschenberg Lithograph here by the way. Normally I'd say it's a nice little shop in Edmonds if you're looking for a specific type of furniture and decor, but her attitude and bias tells me she has issues with anyone that doesn't meet whatever standard she holds. I wouldn't waste time with this place if you don't fit her demographic, because she absolutely will tell you about how you're rude and too young to do business with her.

The proprietor Hannah was kind, helpful, and knowledgeable, and held our items while we had dinner. The shop was chock full of meticulously curated vintage furniture, glassware, art, rugs, and more. Everything was in beautiful condition. We will absolutely be back.

The wood for dining tables, coffee tables, headboards, etc is all REAL wood which is hard to find these days. And there is a GREAT selection. The furniture they carry is all classic. It will still look good in 20 years. After 20 years of having the dining table we bought there, even though it looks amazing still and never had any issues, we went back to get another one for a refresh. We were lucky in getting to work with Phillip who very sincerely friendly and happy to help. He also was there when we needed him, but also kept his distance when appropriate to let us talk and look at products. His product knowledge was very good and if there was a question he wasn't 100% on the answer (once maybe?), he went and verified which is very appreciated. Most people these days would just say what they know as the truth rather than doing the double-check in this situation. He wanted to make sure we got what we wanted / needed. He wasn't pushy or rushing us like many sales people do. They should clone him :) When we need another piece, we will be sure to keep going back to Underhill's and will request Phillip:)

We had our last couch for 4 years and it still looks brand new - so changes in shape or color. However, my poor review is based on their $150 delivery service. It was a horrible experience!!! Our delivery time was scheduled for 12 to 3pm and we were the 3rd stop. We live 5 miles from the Dania Lynnwood store. The delivery men did not show up until 5:30pm. Waaaaaay past the scheduled time & the only notification they give you is a link that repeatedly updates the time. No one calls or lets you know how long of a delay it will be. We wasted 5.5 hours of our day sitting at home waiting for the delivery. I do not appreciate people who waste my time! We also found out from the drivers they came from Lake Stevens on the last delivery (much farther in distance than our home) and they had 2 homes with 20 pieces each to assemble/deliver. Keep in mind, ours was 1 couch which only took 30 mins to assemble. WE SHOULD HAVE BEEN THE 1st delivery, not the LAST! Very poor planning on their delivery service. This experience actually makes me think twice about shopping with Dania again.

Moving into Apt. And needed a mattress, so one evening looked for deals online, called "Adam" (with…read more'Discount Beds") who said he had what I was looking for, ie. a full size hybrid (gel foam and pocketed coil springs), medium-firm support model. He explained that he was moving merchandise between shop locations and had some mattresses at his house in Everett, and suggested that I come over to the house on Cady Road. When I got there, Adam was trying to determine if his delivery truck was operational (it had a blown wheel hub), but had me come to the house; on the porch he showed me a Sealy mattress, wrapped in plastic, which the label rated as "plush". I told him that I needed a model that offered good back support, which is why I was looking for a hybrid model with gel foam padding. He insisted that ALL the latest Sealy models were firm, regardless of the model, and I shouldn't let the "Plush" label put me off. I asked whether this model had gel foam and internal, pocketed coils, he said that ALL the Sealy models anymore had those features. By then it was late, I was tired from moving all day, and believed I had found what needed. Adam quoted me a price, which for a hybrid model was pretty good ($275 w/delivery); I asked if I could charge it, but he said if I paid in cash, he wouldn't charge me the tax, and he could deliver it immediately. So I agreed, and he loaded it into an SUV, and with a helper, brought it to the apt. I wasn't going to stay in the apt. that night, so I didn't use the mattress then, and the next day I did some research online, and called the Sealy company. It turns out that this model is an older one (it was new/unused, but had been in someone's inventory for some time) and was considered a low-end model, not very durable, but suitable for growing adolescents, or as a guest bed, but NOT for adults who needed good back support. The Sealy rep. said that this model did NOT have gel foam padding and the internal springs were NOT pocketed. So Adam had lied about this mattress' qualities. He saw an easy mark and went for the con. I tried to work with him to exchange for a better model, and strung me along for two weeks, and when I tried to get him to follow through, he stopped responding to my calls. I texted him that I would report him to the State's Consumer Protection bureau, he replied "go ahead"... Adam had two phone numbers: one was to "NW Liquidators"; and the other listed as "Discount Beds". It appears that he runs both venues, as he is the only one who answers? Given this experience, I wouldn't recommend doing ANY commerce with either of these den of thieves...
