Since 2019, I've bought so many beautiful pieces of furniture from Bothell Furniture. Every piece is so well made and will last forever. I loved the small and large bookshelves that I bought last year so much that today I ordered another small bookshelf for my office and tomorrow I'm going to order a large one. I really don't understand all of the one star reviews about customer service because I've yet to have a bad experience. Honestly I've never particularly liked going to furniture stores in general, but Bothell Furniture is warm and inviting. I love that someone always recognizes me when I walk in and the staff is always friendly and helpful. When I ordered the small bookshelf today, the sales associate recognized me and was able to look up my last order. They're having a sale, but the prices had gone up from last year. However she said she would give me the same pricing as before. My condo looks so much more inviting with the furniture I've bought from Bothell Furniture. read more

It really is too bad they have lost our business, not for us but for them since we have an entire house to buy for. We moved to Bothell 3 years ago from Kirkland. We wanted to fill our new house with furniture from a local store. We found Bothell Furniture and bought a sofa, 2 loveseats, and 2 recliners. We also bought a few pieces to hang on our walls. We have been so happy with the quality of the furniture, and the customer service even after the sale has been fantastic. We recently had an issue with the mechanism for one of the recliners in our sofa. Although the manufacturer provides a warranty, it only covers parts. Bothell Furniture covered the labor themself. I went on a scouting mission to look for a new dining room table and chairs. I had no intention of buying anything that day. I met with Brandon. He is not famously salesman at all. He told me about what was available and even though their sale had not officially started he would honor the prices if already tagged furniture. I fell in love with a set right away. It was exactly what I wanted. I looked around some more but that was the one I wanted. I was not pressured at all. Brandon told me all about the table and chairs, the finish etc. I went home, talked to my husband. We called Brandon, asked the price because I couldn't remember. We bought it over the phone on a Friday. Children's Med Center picked up our old set on Tuesday and our new beautiful set was delivered on Wednesday. It was meant to be. The entire experience was the best. The quality of the furniture at Bothell Furniture us far superior than anywhere else I looked...and I had looked for a long time. We needed a lot of furniture for our new home on Mercer Island and wanted high quality pieces that could be customized to our space and aesthetic preferences. Bothell Furniture fit the bill. Even during a sale, these pieces are serious money, but now that they are all in our home I couldn't be happier with our decisions. No complaints about service - a couple of times we were even offered wine while we went over leather upholstery and wood stain options. One star off for the price, because $750 for a dining chair is not a 5-star price. read more

I had a terrible experience with this store. Bought a dining table and 6 chairs after the salesperson raved about them and said she had the exact same set. Within a month of getting them home, three of the chairs started squeaking and popping when you sat in them. When I called the store to mention this I was told that I would have to bring them in myself and they would repair them at the store. Since they sold me defective chairs I asked why they wouldn't use their delivery service instead of making me go to the inconvenience of cramming the chairs in my car, driving all the way down there, and then having to do it all over again to pick them up. But they just said if you want them fixed you'll have to bring them in yourself. Once I got the three "repaired" chairs home they started doing the same thing, except even worse. Then the other chairs started doing the same thing. When I called to find out what my options were I was told the owners were out of town but would call back as they returned. Months went by and no call. I finally called again and was told that the only thing they could do is send all the chairs back to the factory, presumably because of the "lifetime warranty." I was asked "can you live without them?" meaning you're not going to have chairs for who knows how long while we send them back to the factory. No offer to replace the chairs and let the store take on the hassle with the factory, no offer of a refund, store credit, nothing. Not even an apology. Just sell you defective merchandise, act like it's your fault, and don't lift a finger to make it right. How these people stay in business is beyond me. read more

We went to take a picture of the table and the price tag so we could remember what we liked as we are shopping for lots of items for our new house and he called us out saying that we don't like customers to do that as they are using it against us. Wtf is that about. It instantly made us uninterested and although we walked around the store a bit more we will find someone else selling beautiful Amish furniture to buy from. If your going to lose a sale your going to lose a sale. But don't lose it because your paranoid of losing it which is exactly what you did today. Well, I don't know how these things work apparently, but if I were one of 3 salespeople standing around acting busy when there is not a customer in the store, I might perk up when someone came in and said 'I'm looking to redo my entire living room top to bottom.' We purchased our dining set, an armoire, bed, and a desk set at this store over the past years and have been pleased. But since they have moved to their new location the customer service is pretty ridiculous. I guess I don't fit the image of someone who has $$ to spend? We are are in Bothell, people--get over your condescending selves. Someone just missed out on selling me a whole room of exorbitantly overpriced furniture. Customer service is not that difficult. Funny point: I asked if I could take a pic of a sofa and was told yes as long as I didn't include the price tag. Uh ok. I asked, well how will I remember the price? I wish I would have had the time to write this review in the fall of 2018: I should have gone with my first instinct after talking with one of the owners on the sales floor. He came across as arrogant , but I really like to support local businesses so I gave them a second chance. When I came in the second time because I really liked a dining room table and buffet I was greeted by the other owner. I shared about my previous experience. He profusely apologized. I talked with him about the two pieces I was interested in. He spent quite awhile helping set up the floor plan so I could make sure the pieces would fit in my space. He assured me that they had personal yet professional relationship with all their woodworkers and they stood behind all their products. I decided to go for it. When the items were delivered, I noticed a scribble of scratches on the table that looked like they could be from keys, clipboard or something like it. I pointed it out to the delivery people. They said they'd make note and told me to contact the store. I did immediately. A woman answered and took a message because neither of the owners were available. 2 days letter still no callback. I called again and again left a detailed message. 2 more days, no callback. I called a few more times over the weeks and was assured my messages had been given to the owners. I finally gave up. I was a busy mom, wife and student. I didn't have time for the BS. I've only cleaned the buffet and table work a lint-free soft cloth and warm water. We use cloth or wood placemats daily with soft bumper feet on them. The scratches have just gotten worse. I'm SO disappointed that the solid wood, handmade dining table looks worse than something I would have bought for a fraction of the price off Wayfair or Target. CANNOT in good conscious recommend Bothell Furniture because of their terrible customer service, product guarantee, and poor quality dining room set for a premium price. read more

Having bought a new house, we were in the market for a ton of furniture... My husband is thoughtful and very methodical. So after weeks of research we started to make the rounds to recommended furniture stores...We went to Bothell Furniture and found a bedroom set, and a Leather couch we really liked... The salesman, who was really not into helping us, told us the Leather Couch was made in America.. This is more important to my husband than me....but after my husband looked underneath, he discovered a tag that said "made in china"... When confronted, the salesman got smug and said some mumble jumble, neither my husband or I could really follow. Needless to say, we felt misled.... We took the information on the bedroom group and after some research found it for 15% less online!! DO SOME SHOPPING PEOPLE!!! We ended up at Greenbaum's in Bellevue and found a great deal on a Leather Couch that is now on order.. read more

If you care about where your furniture comes from (and as someone who co-owns a factory in China, I can tell you that you should, particularly if you have kids), this is THE store you must visit. Almost everything is made in the US - and the quality and workmanship shows. They have a range of price-points and a variety of suppliers, so you are sure to find something you love. The prices are more than what you'd expect to find at big box stores... for obvious reasons. If you want furniture that is made with chemicals, and a questionable environmental record (where is all that wood in China coming from?!), then you pay a cheaper price. Scott was nice, professional and a breeze to work with. My new couch is the most beautiful piece of furniture that I have ever owned. It is extremely comfortable and beautiful. I absolutely love it. In fact, I love it so much that I have posted a new cover photo of me on the couch to my Facebook page, and my friends who are currently in other countries loved it too! Also, I contacted Scott after I realized that they were having a sale, and he went ahead and honored the sale price for the couch belatedly, which I very much appreciated. Went in during one of their sales as we were looking for new living room furniture... after going I the store (and shopping around to other vendors) came back to Bothell Furniture and purchased. I just purchased a home in the Finn hill area of kenmore, and decided to stop into bothell furniture on Black Friday to see if I could find a small desk to fit into my family room, not only did no one come up to see if I needed any help, the people working in the store did not get off a couch they were all sitting on, I had to walk up to them, and ask my questions.... "We haven't sold computer desks in 10 years" everyone uses laptops," excuse me!... Ps I've stop into your store in the past, and definitely knew your price points, and wanted some nice American made furniture.... My wife and I went into the store to shop for a kitchen table. Whenever we shop for furniture, we always take pictures of what we're considering purchasing so we can compare the various items we're thinking of buying when we decide, and to look at the photo at home to double check it will fit the space properly and the color seems OK. So we were shocked when we took one picture of a table we liked, and the salesperson suddenly yelled at us from across the store that we weren't allowed to take pictures in the store. What sort of a furniture store doesn't allow you to take pictures before making an expensive purchase? Any place that treats their customers that way is not a place we want to have anything to do with. We will never buy from them and we will never return. read more

I'm having a hard time writing this because I really WANTED to be able to give a good rating. But, I can't. As far as how I was treated at this store- I couldn't ask for better. The furniture that I bought was garbage. It's MY fault that I didn't really sit on the couches before purchasing, but they are terrible where comfort is concerned. I was told that my beige couch has on mark that had been repaired, It's more like eight marks, the attached pillows are torn in the back, and the couch was delivered dirty even though I was told that it would be cleaned prior to getting dropped off. I feel misled. The red couch looks OK, but feels like you are sitting on a park bench. Certainly not a couch where you could snuggle in an watch a movie. Very disappointing. Love this store. This is good furniture... not the super high end with the brand named stuff, but not stuff thats going to fall apart in my lifetime either. And the styles are usually transcendent also... nothing that's going to be out of style next year but rather something you can pass down to family. Their prices are good, again... for furniture that is of good quality that you wont need to replace in 5-10 years. The owners are good people and customer service is great. Yes, sometimes you have to wait as they are dealing with other customers but thats fine. They have moved to a new store with much more space, but still in Bothell. Being a Bothell resident I wanted to support a Bothell store. The problem was the salesman, one of the owners, bad-mouthed every furniture store within 50 miles. I ended up going to Greenbaum furniture and purchased the same furniture for 25% less and with a warranty which Bothell did not offer. I have never shopped here for furniture, but I was parked in their parking lot visiting another business next door. One of their trucks was blocking my vehicle and I politely asked if they could move the truck so I could get back to work on time (I was on my lunch). The truck driver didn't acknowledge me but one of the store employees did and he was a jerk. He said no and that they would be done soon. I said specifically I needed to get back to work and he just looked at me and rolled his eyes. No sorry or anything. This employee clearly has 0 respect for other customers! THE. WORST. CUSTOMER. SERVICE. EVER!!!!!!!!!! The actual owner Scott, was short, rude and very abrupt. At the very start we were not greeted until we reached the very back of the store and I said hello first. Then we were not helped until we looked like we were going to purchase something. As we started the process of fining the dining room table that we wanted, we picked a customized piece that retailed for $2,400 plus tax. Once we narrowed that down my husband and I needed to discuss some payment options, personal taste, the authenticity of the furniture etc that goes along with the MAJOR purchase for any home decorating. After giving it much thought we came back to Scott the owner!!!!!!!!!!!! I explained that we needed a day or two to make sure this was the table we really really wanted because my husband seemed to think we needed to shop around just a few more days. Keep in mind we were not say no to this possible purchase we were simply thinking about it first, I approached the owner to tell him our thoughts. He was very very rude and told me flat out I wasted his time for lack of better terms and that he stayed an extra 1/2 hour past closing to help us. AND HES THE OWNER OK! Isn't that your job being a FT business owner dude? then he proceeded to tell me he had kids and used angry intimidating gestures through body language and voice toward me then walked completely away from me dismissing me as a potential paying customer and shut off the lights while we were still in the store. WHO DOES THAT!!!!!!!!!! He never said thank you, Im sorry, come again. Nothing! He just lost a sale. I will never come back! I will be spreading negative comments all over town NEVER to buy from this creep. He must be doing really well and does not need the business. We were treated very poorly in the end and I will be voting with my wallet. He gets a big fat zero!!!!!!!!! Oh this also will be shared on FB too. We stopped in yesterday having done a search on line for real wood furniture. Yep they have nice furniture here, nice staff, they let us walk around and look without pressure sales. They have a sale going on, we are looking at sofas mainly but also were looking for dining set and end tables. On sofa prices I was ready to buy.. but my wife is a really a good shopper and convinced me to look elsewhere because some of the prices in the store on other things seemed way out of line even for nice stuff. Sure enough we found a place in Everett that also had a sale going on. The same sofa for 700.00 less. So maybe Bothel Furniture is the only furniture store in Bothel? The only game in town can set prices higher maybe and get away with it. Bellevue type prices. The experience there was good less the prices. Nice store and staff. I see one of the posts here on yelp saying he was given a hard time for taking pictures. That tells me they know their prices are high and think you're going to go shopping for better prices. We took pictures and didn't get any talk back. If we had.. we would have left right away. I give them 4 stars for being who they are. They have a right to ask for the price they want just like any business.. but we are willing to be shoppers.. and we look for better prices.. having the buyer and seller of the year in my back pocket ( my wife ) is, PRICELESS ! I'm not sure what happened to the other reviewers, but we are very loyal customers. About 90% of our home is furnished with furniture from Bothell Furniture. Product is beautiful and extremely well made. You get what you pay for. Jared and Scott are awesome, flexible and accommodating. We get compliments often on the furniture, & it holds up really well-through a few moves too. If you want cheap, or weird/trendy, then head to Ikea. Our family has lived in Bothell for 15 years. Over that time we have purchased two couches, one loveseat, an armoire, a queen sized bed frame with two dressers and a dining room table with 6 chairs from the Bothell Furniture Store. It is high quality furniture which is why you pay more. Customer service has been excellent, including careful delivery of items and followup on one couch that had a flaw in the material. All my furniture pieces are still in use today because of the high quality workmanship. The sales staff is helpful and not pushy. The location, I think, is a real plus because it is not near a mall. There is plenty of parking behind the store shared with other businesses in the immediate vicinity, and angle parking in front.
