He created a table that fit 8 and two leaves that extend to 12. The design was perfect. He also made a marching bench that fit 3. This is a high quality, long lasting set. I looked at many stores and always came back to his custom design. Our next piece was a simple tv stand that fit our 70 in tv. Again, high quality with matching bolts to the dining set. We loved everything so much, we asked him to create a breakfast nook design. He took measurements and gave us a few ideas to consider. The final product was perfect and completed the look of our home. The benches flush completely against the wall and the table measured out perfectly in our space. We found Jeremy on Craigslist and hired him to build us a custom table for our kitchen. We had him…read moreadd two extensions at either end for occasional company. He was available to communicate throughout the process sending updated pictures although it was hard to get a sense of the color. Unfortunately, when the table was delivered we were disappointed to see he had used several pink boards when we had asked for a natural honey color. Also, the extensions behave like teeter totters so when guests push down on the table to stand, it lifts from the opposite side launching food. We ended up screwing metal plates in underneath, permanently fixing the extensions to the table. In some of his designs he uses metal turn buckles for the accents which is what we expected, instead he used cable wire and eye bolts that were painted black and rubs off easily. The ends of the cable wires fray leaving sharp edges for kids to snag their feet on. When we brought these concerns to Jeremy he agreed to rectify the turn buckle situation and offered to cover the cost. We realized their wasn't much we could do about not loving the table color. We waited for weeks and months for the turn buckles to show up and after attempting several follow up communications he stopped answering my calls. We ended up having to use an alternative phone number he did not recognize to get in contact again. At that point he assured us he was ordering the turn buckles and would send them soon. The turnbuckles were never sent and we are left with a very heavy and expensive outdoor dining table we are not happy with. In the end we had to spend another large chunk of money for a kitchen table from a reputable company. Would not recommend JA Designs.

They have a good mix of antiques, some refinished items at a very reasonable price and they also sell milk paint. Some items I've gotten: a simple side table that we use as an entry table, glass container with lid that I use for cotton pads, a drawer that was made into a shelf and I also got a (non-antique) infinity scarf. The store is very organized and not overwhelming (ie, some stores are cluttered with so much junk that it's overwhelming). They display their items in small little sections and I most often walk away with something I love whenever I visit.

I just thought that was the nicest thing someone could do for you I didn't ask for his help. He simply offered, went in and got an air compressor and fixed my flat. We went in and bought my 5 year old his first big boy mattress. He picked one out and it was…read moredelivered. The first night he lay on it read (he's 35 pounds) the edge collapsed. I've never seen anything like it. We went back into mattress firm and showed them a picture. The salesperson said he would call his boss because company policy was it had to be returned on the 120 day guarantee. He called the boss and they just exchanged it. I'm t was great customer service. The Sealy mattress breaking wasn't their fault but exchanging it was very helpful.

This store has a challenging position to deal with. Monroe is an odd blend of country and suburb, with a faint dash of urban here and there. This store manages to provide a good balance for those audiences without taking too much financial advantage of the community. The store is clean and well-maintained. It's relatively modern, having undergone a remodel several years ago. It added a Murray's Cheese counter, Kroger (Fred Meyer's parent company)'s cheesemonger counter with staff to help, and a selection of higher-end cheeses. This has done very well in this store and is slated for expansion. I'm all for it. The produce here is usually good to excellent. The meat is of excellent quality. Seafood is just okay and could use some improvement. Over all, Monroe is lucky to have a nice grocery store like this. It beats Safeway on selection and is about the same on pricing. It beats Walmart on both selection (though Walmart is starting to add interesting things here and there) and on produce quality (by a mile). Grocery Outlet is just that. Ignore the negative reviews (except maybe those from 2020). They make me shake my head at small-town pettiness taken to extremes. You got a bagger in training who messed up your bagging one time? Couldn't get all the fried hot food you wanted at the nanosecond you wanted it? Couldn't find a charged electric cart fast enough for your liking, even though the store sent someone to bring one to you? And for these kinds of things, you give a 1-star review and complain about pretty much one perceived offense? That's not cool. This is a good store that continues to try to provide the community with what it wants at a reasonable price.

This is now my favorite antique store! Walking through the various spaces felt like we were on an…read moreepisode of American Pickers. Yes, it's super packed and some aisles were blocked but it also felt like a treasure hunt. Who knows what you will discover that somebody else who came through before you didn't notice. Fun! The owner and her daughter were super nice and offered to help us several times. The pictures I posted were from the upstairs barn area and outdoor carport. I didn't take any pictures of the main antique store but it was packed full of antique household items. I came away with two martini glasses that I can't wait to use. I hope to return sometime soon and I will take photos of the main antique store and post pictures then.
