I contacted Chris, the Manager of my local store, to ask that he have the Area Manager contact me. He was rude and abrasive, ended up telling me this was a different department, and hung up the phone. A few days later, I went in and introduced myself to him. He walked away. After a very brief discussion, I walked back out the door, with Chris stating to call the news he needed the foot traffic. Attached are the pics of the $6000 chair that Mattress Firm delivered to me. Oh yea, they left my home with the chair in pieces and not working.

They brought in the mattress and adjustable base, asking where it should be installed. The delivery guys sort of pretended to act like they would not set up the bed, even though it was obviously included even though that is what we been arranged. They had a well rehearsed stage production between each delivery man of how it used to be $40 but had recently increased to $80. The stage play went on for 5 minutes, acknowledging that there was no additional fee but they would not set up the mattress without the payoff. They had the whole script and we were not prepared. I should have interupted with their distributor on the phone but they said that was not possible. I would not want to be scammed, so went with a more trusted vendor for our second mattress a couple of weeks later. Be warned and prepared.

We bought a Stressless chair, which they sell many of, in the 90s, and it's still my favorite chair in the house. Even the delivery people love working there and care about your satisfaction. We live in a condo where they had to carry a large piece of furniture up four flights of stairs. One board got slightly banged up; they showed it to us, took pictures, sent them back to their manager, and assured us they would take care of it. Later, the owner came out, fixed the dings enough where we were happy, but he wasn't. He said this will do until we can get you a replacement because you bought something new, and you shouldn't have something newly fixed; you should have something you know is new. I can go on and on about what a great experience and value it is to shop there, but most have probably stopped reading this by now. Now, we bought some really good carpet - it is 2x as thick, dense, soft, and plush as others we were thinking of for less money. We have had it for 4 years now - my boy has gone through his 2's and 3's and 4's on this carpet, and we do not have a single stain. Everything comes off of it! This stuff is a joy to walk on, lay on, play on, and vacuum. If you talk to Greg, listen to the differences in the way his carpet is made versus the others. He gave us so many details that have come true. When we installed it and used the vacuum, there weren't any ends that broke off and filled the bag - none. Other new carpets shed for months as the fibers break off where they try to make it feel soft. You honestly get what you pay for, but carpet is expensive to replace. Want to talk about compliments? People love our carpet - we refer all of our friends there before they make a huge mistake. His installer is a guy he knows - you can use him or not...he's not a subcontractor like the other stores use. Anyway, we went back and bought an inflatable foam bed from Greg a year later...it is great also. He can make it how you like it. The pump stopped working after a year - it shorted out - and he replaced it in 2 days! Worked for over 2 years now without a problem. We are building a new house again, and, you bet we are going back to Greg...he told us that the price of our beloved carpet actually dropped, and he is passing the savings on to us rather than keeping it! He has discounts for cash, and takes my call everytime I call him - I shop locally when I can for that reason. His shop is an asset to Woodinville.

I have had many surgeries and I face more in the next year due to health issues.
