As it was about 90 degrees inside our house, he said he would put in the request as practically an emergency. And within 24 hours a wonderful sales person stopped a promptly provided replacement options/recommendations. We accepted their recommendations and within 3-4 days the new system was up & running.....and all this during a tremendous heat wave. To squeeze us in like that is worth more than 5 stars. Unbelievable professional & personal follow-up & communication. And we had no history with them.....we were totally new customers. Stupid other company with lack of professional approach lost a large sale. We are so glad to have found Cermignano. I never write reviews but these people deserve one. They went above & beyond for us.

I contacted Phinite Services and several other HVAC contractor over six months ago for a quote on…read morereplacing our 25 year old large 5 ton multi-zone ducted AC and gas-fired hydronic heating system boiler. The replacement required some complicated electrical rework, including replacement of one main electrical panel. Except for Phinite Services, the other contractors either could not figure out our hydronic heated floor system in order to quote the boiler system replacement, they could not handle the electrical rework required, or their estimates came in more than twice that of Phinite Services. We ultimately chose Phinite Services. They prepared and provided us with actual design drawings and plans, (none of the other contractors would provide any drawings or plans). Phinite Services price was reasonable and they completed the rather complicated job in just two days. The system and electrical wiring has been working flawlessly for the last six months. I highly recommend this business.

This not a reputable business and I would never trust them in my home again…read more Reed's Appliance came out to diagnose our oven, which was old but still partially functional and we were therefore on the fence of repairing or replacing. The bake element wasn't working, but the broiler was so while I could use the oven, the temperature was about 60-80 degrees off from what the thermostat read. During the visit, the technician burned himself by touching the broiler, proving it was hot and working at the time. Honestly in hindsight, this should have been the first red flag because never have I ever seen a technician mindless touch an element that is known to be hot. While sucking on his burned finger, he then pulled the oven out and worked on the panel in the back, commenting on a loose connection that he said he could repair. Immediately afterward, he pushed the unit back into place, turned on the oven and it was now completely dead. No bake or broil and a continuous error code. When my husband reasonably asked what the company would do since the oven was now worse than before the technician touched it, the tech became defensive, insisted he didn't cause the issue, despite my husband (an engineer) explaining how he fried the circuit. The tech was visibly overwhelmed and when my husband asked again what the company can do since they made the oven worse, he said "there's no charge for today," and stormed out, leaving the check I had already written on the counter. The owner called me and launched straight into yelling, cutting me off, accusing me of refusing to pay (false), calling me a liar, accusing me of deliberately trying to screw over a small business, and finally telling me I'm a "horrible person." She had no interest in hearing what actually happened or settling this reasonably. She even twisted a harmless joke I'd made about wanting a new oven into proof of bad intent... the logic of which is evidently lost on me. After reading other reviews, this appears to not be a fluke with this woman and if business is hurting then I'd insist her to look no further than the mirror. She came across as completely unhinged and wildly unprofessional. After I hung up on her, because no person deserves to be verbally abused, there was a knock on my door and the tech came back, asking for payment! I reminded him that he said there would be no charge for today when he stormed out to apparently call his boss. He then said "I only said that because it was clear you weren't going to pay us." Again... the check was literally on the counter. I attempted to calmly explain how it was unfair to be expected to pay full price for a diagnostic that made my oven no longer usable and in fairness to him he said that was reasonable. I said I'd expected the owner to call me to discuss how we could make this right. Based on the tech's statement of "you wanted a new oven any way," he seemed under the impression that it was ok to break the oven entirely, as though a new one would just materialize. To be clear, I want a working oven. If the cost to repair was going to exceed 500 dollars, I would buy a new one. After his tinkering, not only can I not use the broiler but now the fan runs continuously and I had to unplug it altogether, rendering it useless (including the cooktop) until my new oven arrives. I told the tech we could resolve this amicably if the owner apologized. He said he'd call her in his truck and come back if she agreed so we could settle. He drove off then so God only knows what this unstable woman had to say, if he even called her at all. Bottom line. The diagnostic made the problem worse. The technician waived the fee and walked out. The owner responded with verbal abuse instead of accountability. Appliances fail. Mistakes happen. Screaming at customers, calling them liars, and insulting them when your company causes damage is unacceptable. Use this company if you're comfortable with that risk. Otherwise, consider yourself warned.

They told me on the phone it would be $95, which goes towards parts and labor if you choose to use them for the work. Guy showed up, looked at our fridge for 30-40 minutes. He fixed a small leak and charged us $125. I called to complain and the guy said he did $125 worth of work. No explanation, no hourly rate calculated, no parts used. If their service costs $125, they should say so!!!! Dishonest. Find someone else.

I was ultimately told to buy a new dryer by a so-called tech who had not even been out to diagnose the appliance. The problem turned out to be the timer switch, a 5 minute fix and a $60 part. Even with labor, Dolan could have saved a less technically inclined person a few hundred dollars versus buying a new dryer. If you aren't willing to at least make the minimal effort, why are you in business? In short, call anyone else if you actually want service.

When she declined, they suddenly "found" the part and quoted $1,800, then took a deposit. A quick search showed the OEM part is widely available for around $150, and the job typically takes 1-2 hours. Charging $1,800 for that kind of work is hard to justify. To their credit, when I called and requested a refund of the deposit, they returned it without issue (hence the 2 stars). That said, the initial sales approach was misleading and predatory. For context, another company has since quoted $460 for the same repair.

Installation was flawless, but the price was exorbitant at $8300. $6-6500 would have been a fair price for a $3400 heater marked up 1.5X and a 6-8 hours of labor at more than $200/hr labor. Met with owner and he justified the price mostly due to "knowing his costs", generous salaries for his employees, enormous overhead, advertising and a "small profit margin" Lesson learned. When the technician goes into upsell mode and tells you they are offering a competitive price, don't believe them. Get three quotes. Also, they remove any negative reviews and want you to not post anything detrimental on social media.

They explained the challenges they had with the job and offered to come back and do the necessary repairs at their expense. It has been a few days since the repair and I am happy to report that everything now seems to be working fine. I greatly appreciate the way this was handled by Service First- they made it right and there's not much more a customer can ask for. I am now very satisfied and feel confident that I can contact Service First if there are any additional issues.
