But ultimately I wouldn't leave him there again. The dogs sleep in a concrete kennel that looks identical to a shelter, and Winston's a rescue, so he looked miserable when we left. When we picked him up he was really muddy and we took him to get a bath that day. He seemed pretty angry at us for a few days, and just not like himself. I'm not sure if this is unique to him because of his past or if it's something else. If your dog is used to loud environments, this may be a great place for you. But if you have a rescue, or if your pup is especially sensitive, I'd recommend hiring a pet sitter instead.

I repeatedly use A Better Dog Kennel for boarding my baby, Ruckus, and I am NEVER disappointed…read more I've even started to notice that Ruckus gets excited when we arrive there. We all feel bad when we have to board our dogs, but when a dog actually gets excited to be somewhere, you know they are well taken care of in your absence. I highly recommend this facility for boarding and day care. It's always clean and the staff is super friendly. Sometimes they posts pics of your pooch on Facebook, which I love seeing while I'm away. And they even give you a doggy report card when you pick up so that you know how your dog ate, slept, interacted with the staff and other dogs. It's amazing! I love this place and will always use them for all of my boarding needs.

Abby, & the entire front desk staff is warm and welcoming, with constant smiles the second you walk through the door. (Also insanely clean) There is no question I had that ITAH couldn't answer. Which is extremely important to me, considering I have a bully breed. My other bully breed owners know that these little guys can be an absolute medical mystery sometimes. Through lapses of severe separation anxiety, to other mysterious respiratory bulldog issues, Indian Trail animal Hospital has been with us every step of the way! I highly recommend ITAH, especially to my fellow bulldog breed owners. They really know their stuff. Also, the most thorough veterinary office I have ever had the pleasure of working with. I wouldn't trust anyone else with my baby!! Thanks ITAH

The infestation on Cody was timed perfectly for the period shortly after he was in the clinic. Of course you wouldn't admit it. You can't tell me that another animal wasn't there a few days before he was, leaving fleas and eggs in the recovery area and gone undetected by your staff. Now my animal will suffer and I will probably have to pay for medication and an exterminator to get rid of a future infestation. We've had Cody for 5 years and never had an issue. We've had three other cats over a period of 26 years and had no fleas. BTW, I emailed the clinic directly through your website and got no reply. That speaks loudly for your "staff". So my poor review will remain intact and shared anywhere I can find to post it.

We just finished a four-week board and train with Carson at The Dog Knowledge. Worth every penny!…read more Not going to lie - the first couple weeks were rough on us, not him. We missed him like crazy and worried about how he was feeling. Dennis actually had us come in halfway through, showed us what Carson had been learning, and said something that I keep thinking about: Carson wasn't missing us. Not because he doesn't love us, but because dogs live in the now. He was busy, focused, doing his thing. We felt so much better after that. Carson came home happy and calm and confident. He understood the rules and felt good about it. And he wasn't (as our son put it) a "bot" now - he was the same sweet and goofy pup but now, he could follow instructions and maintain self control when we needed him to. The staff were also straight with us about the fact that he'd have setbacks. That's normal. They spent a lot of time explaining what you do when it happens. In fact, they spent almost an entire day with all the families at graduation - going over what the dogs learned, getting you hands on practicing how to do it, answering questions, and really teaching a ton of helpful information. We're about to set up our in-home training visit, which will be for all of us, including our three kids - really great to get everyone aligned with Carson's training. The Dog Knowledge is fantastic! We are members now and plan to board our dog with them whenever we go on vacation. I cannot imagine trusting any place like we trust them.
