Last month I was grabbing dinner with a friend. She suggested Houlihans since it's a place she enjoys. I had never been previously so I was excited to try a new place. She suggested the stuffed chicken breast. I added a side salad. It was large, but the lettuce was shredded so fine. I would've preferred larger leafs of lettuce so this salad was just ok. The stuffed chicken was super yummy. It was enough for two meals. I subbed in mac and cheese and some potato casserole. I really enjoyed the potato casserole option. The food changed a bit since my last visit a month or two ago. A salad previously on chopped lettuce is now on spinach and some of the ingredients don't match the menu. It's odd to me when restaurant change how their food is served but not the menu. Also got the Bavarian pretzel but the beer cheese is SUPER liquidy. Not a lot of flavor to that either. The food was fantastic. We got the chicken nachos to share and they were great- could have used a bit more queso, but great. We also had the Thai chicken noodles and stuffed chicken. I haven't been to Houlihan's in a while, so I was excited to try it again, but the food was very underwhelming. The stuffed mushroom appetizer was an uncooked button mushroom with cream cheese, which didn't have much flavor and the uncooked mushroom was not appetizing. The potato soufflé was super dry and lacked flavor. The French dip was okay, but also did not have much flavor. However, the garlic mashed potatoes were good, but the green beans tasted like they were just washed with water. The steak was cooked well and had the most flavor. I wouldn't recommend the macaroni and cheese as a side since the breadcrumbs tasted stale. Although the foo wasn't great, the service was a 5/5, and our server was amazing! read more

We were seated in a comfortable booth in a partially occupied dining room but well spaced for easy communication. The stuffed mushrooms are incredibelievable. Wow! I ordered take out so I can't speak much to the "service". When I walked in to grab my food it was pretty dead. Not surprised being a Weds around 8:30pm. My food was ready pretty quick. After taking a look at my body type (round), you would be surprised that I wasn't actually planning on going to Houlihan's. However, I was craving a desert, having already had dinner around 4:30. I just wanted to slum it and gobble some cheesecake or donut bites or pie. But after exactly 30 seconds of scanning their online menu, I knew Second Dinner™ was about to happen. The atmosphere of Houlian's was quiet for 8:30pm. Which I was totes fine with. The setting was nice, no wacky things hanging from the walls or ceiling. This was a place that took itself seriously. Well, not suit and tie serious. More like...Friday night casual serious. 10/10 general feeling of a no pressure atmosphere. What caught my eye immediately on the menu was the fish and chips. I'm a little hussy for fish and chips. I wanted to keep it simple, so that's exactly what I got. It came with chipfries. A fantastic little potato side that was sliced like chips but thick like fries. It came with a side of ketchup but I also ordered a side of their spicy aoli because I was having fun. The food came rather swiftly. Everything looked great. The fish were two long strips with perfect fried breading. The tartar sauce looked homemade, but in reality, anything that doesn't look like mayo with bits of dill pickle sticking out of it I assume is homemade. The frips were great! Ketchup worked wonders but I did not get my aoli until my server showed up with a drink refill (then must have realized he forgot it). Despite getting my aoli late, it sure wasn't messing around with the spice, and the last few potato pieces went down my gullet in flames. 10/10 spice flavor. My meal was actually pretty great. The fish wasn't too fishy, had the perfect breading, great portions for the price point. I could be fussy and wish the fish were a little more chunkier, but at what point am I just being a crybaby? 10/10 would gobble that fish again. read more

We came out to Houlihans especially since we knew they had wonderful food and also patio seating. It was a great evening to eat out and way in the distance we could faintly heat Hank Williams Jr at the amphitheater. :-0. Service was wonderful with a waitress that actually checked on us and didn't forget we were out there as only ones on that side of the patio. I went for the fish tacos (two lightly breaded whites fish) with a side (my choice and I would recommend) sweet potato fries that come with a nice horseradish sauce. Service was good, except we were advised we could not sit on the patio due to incoming weather; however, other people were sat out there after us. The ambiance was nice - easy to converse, not too loud. The daily fixe menu is a great deal - 3 courses for $24, and they are healthy portions! Location of Houlihan's is just as you're pulling into HTC. Super convenient if you're heading to a Ruoff concert and want appetizers beforehand. We went in on a Friday night at 7:00 PM and there was no wait - actually it was pretty empty compared to the 3 other main dinner restaurants. We were served immediately and our waiver was super friendly, quick, and eager to get anything. We had a few beers and grabbed appetizers. I had the white bean side and chips and salsa. The salad was pretty wimpy, it was white beans, tomatoes, lettuce, and balsamic. Very small and probably wouldn't get again. The chips and salsa were standard. Everyone else at the table had dumplings (loved them!), fish tacos (also great), and spinach dip (good too!). Overall, it's a convenient place to stop in and the service is quick. They have a wide variety on the menu so all tastes can be accommodated. The food is average, but the service is great! read more

Both were really good, though the dipping sauce was a little spicy for me. My parents had the Turkey club and the southwest chicken wrap and enjoyed them though the wrap was so big mom couldn't finish it. I had the drink she sells sea shells and it was delicious and was quite large. It filled my glass 3 times. They offer a phenomenal special for 23.00 which includes your choice of appetizer, entree and dessert! I've never seen such a great special with such fabulous choices and flavor. The ahi tuna and spinach dip are 2 favorites and the fish n chips is my "go to." Entree. The salads are also HUGE, colorful and healthy! I returned to eat there because I received a complimentary dessert coupon, which required a dine-in. I went after the CDC said that fully vaccinated people can choose not to wear a mask. I chose to eat on their patio during their $5 happy hour. I asked for a socially distant table. I was wearing my mask, and the waitress approached me with a mask on her wrist. I asked her to wear her mask. Why did I have to ask? If a customer is wearing a mask, should you not be respectful and also wear a mask especially when you have one? She agreed until near the end of my visit as she did not wear a mask with any other customers. First, I ordered the avocado eggrolls with sauce on the side. Two total rolls contained lots more of something other than avocado in them. They tasted fine. I was still hungry so I ordered the chicken lettuce wrap without the peanut-ginger sauce. The waitress warned me it would not taste good, but I am not a saucy person nor do I like ginger. She was right as the chicken was dry. Maybe they should offer sweet chili sauce instead. We've had a a lot of takeout lately, and Houlihan's had one of my fav meals. The fish tacos were made with Cod and were delightful! The fish was crispy, veggies fresh and flavorful. We came here before a sold out show at Ruoff. I was so shocked at how quickly we were able to get a table. We had a great spot on their outdoor patio. Service was quick. We started off with the cauliflower appetizer which was our favorite part of the dinner. My husband had a margarita and I had a seasonal version of an aperol spritz- it was so refreshing. The chicken nachos we good but did lack in cheese. I loved the fresh jalapeños on them though- that's a deal breaker for me! Gotta have fresh. The fish tacos were pretty good. We had dinner here last night and we always enjoy our meal. We just forget they are there because they are inside the Hamilton Town Center and not very visible. Their $10 martinis are delicious. Last night we did the 3 course meal which was a great value. I had the chicken wings with the Thai sweet and spicy sauce and they were delicious. The service and iced tea were fabulous! Outdoor seating very enjoyable. The food was simply not good. We started with the prime rib egg rolls. Very greasy, too much breading and no flavor. I had the Thai noodle bowl and friend had the soup and sandwich. Mushy, overcooked....not worth taking home. I think my friend enjoyed her French onion soup but not the prime rib dip sandwich.
