Very nice receptionist. I first dropped by in the summer of 2015, when I think they just opened, so…read morethey needed to fix some bugs and settle in. Odd hours, very limited, seemed like they were closed a lot of the times. They were asking each other how to save the x-ray images, and how to work things. Newbies? It's a little unnerving when the staff doesn't seem to know what they're doing.
My first visit was for some sensitivity I was feeling in my 5 year old root canal that had a third of it chip of the previous year. They took a x-ray and the dentist told me I just needed to get some filings done.
The next day, it became inflamed, and I became very ill. Trying to call in and get some antibiotics were a bit of a hassle...
So they referred me to an endodontrist. But they didn't send my x-ray to them, so I had to pay and get radiated again when I went to see my endodontrist. My dentist assured me that he was in 6 days a week. When I needed him on a Friday, the office was closed early for some reason. Also on Saturday that the dentists went for a training or conference, and the office was again closed.
To get another opinion, I requested a different endodontrist. Again, they were suppose to send the x-rays to this endodontrist, but they didn't, so I had to get ANOTHER x-ray, which I had to pay for again, not to mention another dose of radiation.
The following week, he was not in on Tues. I called on Thurs to give him my final decision to extract, rather than go through fixing the root canal. The receptionist said she would get back to me. I waited, and no phone call ever came. The next day, I waited until after noon to call. The receptionist told me that the doctor had stepped out for coffee and that they'll get back to me. Waited. At this point, I started getting pretty upset and decided to call a dentist my friend had recommended. Unfortunately, I knew they were only open during the weekdays, meaning I would have to wait till the following week for 'meeting' the dentist, and likely another date for an extraction.
However, Aarm Dental was able to get me in, and my extraction was scheduled. I seem to always have terrible experiences with dental procedures, so I was fearing for the worst. However, the process was less painful than I expected, and the bleeding wasn't too terrible. I was prepared with some codeine, but I ended up taking only 1 Advil, and that was all I needed. Fantastic! I was really happy about that.
Some issues with arrangements, but the dental procedure went great. They called back some time later to check up on me. The staff and dentist is really nice. They also sent me a welcome card, plus a Christmas card which I have never received from any other dentists that I have gone to before. And unfortunately, I have gone to many. I want to give them 3.5 stars.
