This was the worst dentist office I have ever visited. I came in for a cleaning this morning…read more(routine). Instead, of a cleaning, they processed me for 5m, took some x-rays and proceeded to clean half my teeth (the bottom half) before sending me on my way... They also lied and told me I needed two fillings due to a cavity and a groove in my tooth. When I got a second opinion (from my old family dentist), none of these things were found. When I inquired as to if this was normal. I was told that due to my being 15m late, I would have to schedule another appointment (since apparently cleanings take about 1.5hr at this place). My thoughts: I was late so I accept that it will cut into my appointment. However.. 1.5hr is not a reasonable expectation for a routine cleaning. I've seen 3 different dentists in the last 5 years (due to my being a traveling consultant), and the longest session I've had was 45m in San Francisco. If cleanings are 1.5hr regularly for new patients. Why was I not informed of this. All they did in the session today was scrape my bottom teeth (no fluoride or anything else). edit: they also lied and said that I needed two fillings due to a cavity and an apparent groove in one of my teeth. Obviously I went for a second opinion to my family's dentist. To my (not) surprise, my family's dentist said there was no cavity. He also showed me the x-rays that he had taken of me from last June and compared it to the ones which Brentwood Dental Group forwarded. The difference was like night and day. The x-rays from Brentwood Dental group were grainy and you 'could' argue that there was a cavity there (there was a shadow in a very murky and grey picture). My family dentist's x-rays were crisp and clear (the contrast between white and black was very crisp). He then showed me the areas which I had been told had a cavity and told me that in his opinion, it was fine. There was no pain and there wouldn't have been that much degradation since last June. There was no need to unnecessarily drill my teeth unless I really wanted to. I would highly recommend everyone to avoid this dentist group as they run the place like an apple store. Hiding under the guise of expertise to upsell you bullshit you don't need.

My insurance will be alereted of insurance fraud. Apperantly any person ive asked that went there said same exact thing they just over charge you and trying to rechsdule or cancel your app after if u noticed. The visit was quick, informative, and painless. I had a cavity filled in less than an hour. But for the real gravy, while I was getting worked on I was in a massage chair watching Blue Planet II in 4k on the ceiling. I'd think it was a joke if I hadn't just experienced it. It's somewhat embarrassing, but ever since I had a couple of very bad experiences with dentists and dental work, I've been afraid of going to the dentist. So, I was so happy the first time I went to see Dr. Chan because of a cavity but he was so gentle with the freezing injection, that I didn't even feel it. That was a first for me. Since then, he always has the best way of relating to his patients with respect, kindness, understanding and positivity. He knows I have a difficult time with dental work and through every procedure, he lets me know what he is going to do. Sort of like a play-by-play through the whole procedure. So, when all is said and done with any procedure I've had with him, I come away feeling very grateful and appreciative of Dr. Chan's lovely approach to dentistry and his patients because he has always put me at ease and more relaxed than I've ever been when having dental work done.

Yes, I believe that if it is fillings on those molars and re cementation of that crown that came off, then it will likely be within that $1000 limit. If you do require a new crown by chance, however, that is not usually a covered service by the disability coverage. You tell me - looks like deception to me.

I had a cleaning done with x-rays (including full panorama x-ray) and after the dentist did a check-up he said I had 2 cavities and 2 silver fillings that are leaking and so they needed to be replaced. This sounded excessive so I went to see a different dentist for a second opinion - turns out I don't have any cavities or any leaks according to the second dentist which makes sense given I brush my teeth twice a day, floss daily in the evenings and have no gum or teeth pain / sensitivity. The staff at Dawson Dental are nice and friendly but I definitely won't be returning as I've found a new dentist in Burnaby.

I've noted that it is a costly procedure that my extended benefit will not cover the full amount. Every time I came in for cleaning, they kept wanting to do it. It's like a sleezy car salesman. Finally, they have decided to do it, i've asked them if my extended health will cover ONE HUNDRED PERCENT... they said YES. I got a bill of $800 afterward. NEVER GO TO THEM... it's all about the money.

It was so disruptive that i was also trying to figure out if i had a sinus allergy or something. But luckily i went to my actual dentist and she was lovely enough to send me a referral to this super professional clean place tucked away just a bit past metrotown. The location of this is nearby all the new buisnesses by metrotown skytrain station and the korean hot dog place and so forth. Very secure clean place, building looks like a luxurious high rise condo from outside and you have to get buzzed in from the directory. Which is an added bonus you don't have to worry about the unexpected disrupting your dental surgery. Dr Siu was my endodontist referred by my dentist and he was great. So detailed and precise. Gentle and great communicator. Empathetic and professional, always handling all movements with care and makes sure patient is as comfortable as can be. I'm not in the dental field but after my visit and looking at my charts and being informed with the information i actually suddenly feel interested in the dental field all together. There is street parking outside and don't worry if you think you'll exceed 2 hrs because the receptionist will get your information and help feed the meter! They don't take dental insurance directly here. It is wheelchair accessible. Washroom even has a button to press for it to open and close. The place is spotless shiny and clean. They even use luxurious name brand hand sanitizer! If you need a root canal, i highly recommend you get referred to this place!! Hands down exceptional quality service!!
