Apparently the business is older than the building - they were at a nearby location before the current place got built. The waiting area is nice and spacious. Staff are professional. I'm 24 and my lower wisdom tooth started coming in and giving me a lot of pain. I booked in and they were able to do x-rays and see me in a very timely manner. The staff were very friendly and professional. Fast forward to the removal of the wisdom tooth - I got my right lower and upper Wisdom teeth removed. They did with me awake in the chair with some oral medications and some numbing injections - I was done in under an hour! I have AWFUL anxiety - especially regarding dentists - and had been dreading this procedure! It ended up being over before I could blink! The dentist and nurse were very quick and efficient while still being comforting and communicative. It's been about 3 days and my wounds are healing up VERY nicely. From the moment you check in, the staff are extremely friendly, kind and personable while being professional. The hygienist I saw was Natasha and not only was she super sweet and kind, she was full of helpful suggestions such as how to floss properly (she demonstrated it while I held a mirror so I could see). The dentist I saw is Dr. Shivji (junior). You can tell that he is confident in what he does and has great knowledge. Not only is her super personable but he is honest- he will not recommend getting things done that you don't really need just to make more money for the business (as I have experienced at other dental offices in the past). I get anxious about feeling anything when getting fillings and he was very gentle and reassuring, always checking to make sure I was doing ok. I trust him to give me good dental advice. Again, I cannot say enough good things about everyone working at Alpha Dental and my only regret is not being a patient here sooner.

This is a Negative Review of Dr. Pahlavan,…read more Three years ago, Dr. Pahlavan replaced one of my crowns. She said it will be a zirconia crown. Later on when I had a check up, another dentist said this is only a porcelain crown, not zirconia which is much stronger. On another occasion, Dr. Pahlavan recemented a crown that came loose. Because there was too much cement placed inside the crown, the bite was very high. Dr. Pahlavan adjusted the bite on the top and bottom crowns. As a result, she made a hole in the bottom crown. Later on a cavity developed in this tooth. As a result, I now need a root canal treatment and a new crown costing more than $3,500.00 Had she check the bite before curing the cement, this may never have occurred.
