The clinic is located on the 5th floor of a building, which gives some nice views of downtown from above. Reception is usually really pleasant and efficient. The Waiting Room is cozy and plenty of magazines of all genres are available. The actual dental area is very clean and modern, with plenty of up-to-date tech. I believe Dr Bougher takes pride in being innovative and provides the best care with the most current technology and dental techniques. Besides from keeping himself well-educated and up-to-date he is super personable, knowledgeable, considerate, patient and really strives to make you feel comfortable and answer all your concerns. You really don't feel like just another client, he takes his time with you - especially during a procedure, he takes you through his steps, explains what he is seeing and he is very sensitive to your pain and keeps asking to ensure you're as comfortable as possible. Besides from Dr Bougher, I love my hygienist - Sue. She is definitely top-notch with everything she does, my teeth always feels thoroughly clean and spotless. Sue is also one of the kindest people, super easy to talk to and she remembers you! She also makes sure you are always comfortable as well, and warns you if a spot may be tender - but I've never had a complaint because she's always so gentle yet effective! Overall, I can't say I don't like the dentist anymore because you cannot dislike Dr Bougher and Sue and all the amazing dental care they provide. I received a phone call today asking when they could book me in for a cleaning and at the moment I am in between work and do not have insurance. As we all know, dental is very expensive when it is paid for out of pocket. I explained that I do not have any insurance and cannot afford to pay for my cleaning but would call back to book when I could afford to or was reinsured. She laughed and clearly pulled the phone away so I couldn't hear, but I did. I don't think that is is funny to laugh at others misfortune and will not return after this humiliating experience.

Dr Chan sits with you and performs such a thorough consultation, reviews your xrays and photos with you to show you exactly where your concerns should lie. He's so unbelievably helpful and kind and he is the kind of dentist that won't drill something just for the heck of it, which is so refreshing! The hygenists and staff are so awesome too! Shortly thereafter he moved to his current W. Broadway location and I followed him there even though it's not very convenient for me but a good dentist is worth the trip. He's always been personable, friendly and knowledgeable. He keeps up on what's current in the dental industry. His office seems to run pretty much like clock work and it is rare to be kept waiting more than 5 minutes past the appointment time. The front office staff is the best - friendly and nice every single time I've visited the office. One staff in particular, Antonella, has been with him for eons and that says a lot about how Dr. Okamura must be as an employer. His dental assistant has also been with him for years too, but the hygienists always seem to come and go. Years ago when extensive work was required with not much dental covererage, Dr. Okamura even accepted postdated cheques. I've never forgotten that and think it shows the epitome of his character. If you're looking for a great friendly Dentist then Dr. Wayne Okamura fits the bill to a tee.

Sadly, I've had just about one of every dental procedure during my life. So I have witnessed a lot a dentists at work. So when I developed an abscess today the pain out weighed my fear and I called Dr Wong's clinic. I explained my phobia and current dental issue and they assured me that they would take good care of me. At first I thought they were just luring me in to inflict pain upon me equal to listening to a person with tourettes read "40 Shades of Grey". I was wrong, the whole staff went out of their way to make me feel comfortable and not be ashamed of fear and state of dental care. They got me in on a busy day within 20 minutes of my mumbling phone call as well. While Dentists still freak me the hell out, Dr Wong is an exception, kind, laid back and not one to attempt to pad a bill. He made me feel like I did not have a phobia at all. My only issue was with him showing Mr. Bean on the TV.

Dentist said it was likely just a gum infection and said there was no need for xrays, since they got mine transferred from my old dentist (taken 2 years earlier). I trusted him. So next year I go to my original dentist and they do new xrays (puzzled why the last dentist didn't do any given the pain in my molar and the 2 year period) and turns out I had a really bad cavity, NOT A GUM INFECTION. I almost had to get a root canal and lost half my tooth because it was in a strange place in between the molars and progressively got worse in a year, even with all the flossing that I was recommend by this dentist. My original dentist said this dentist did not do their due diligence and that they should have done an updated xray to double-check instead of just guessing it was gum infection, especially due to the pain I described and that the xrays were old. In the end this dentist cost me more money and more pain from not doing his job properly. Don't go here, they are unorganized, receptionists rude, and Dr. obviously incompetent in thoroughly checking into problems.
