The facility is great. The problem is that when there are problems with the scheduling app crashing or not working well, there's no guarantee of scheduling your class. The voice mail didnt pick up. So I drove over & no one is at the desk during "staffed hours." During staffed hours, I've also run into the rooms not heated . It would be nice if the staff checked which rooms are booked and would heat it up for you. Otherwise heating it up eats up a good 10+ mins of your session. It would be helpful to have an email to reach management/owner to send suggrstions for improvement. read more

I went in to cancel my membership that I already had "frozen." Because I came in on the 6th of the month and not the 5th they made me pay a $99 cancellation fee in addition to unfreezing the account and paying the last month that I didn't access the gym instead of just letting me pay out the remaining two months. So, if I had just come in one day prior they would not have taken an extra $100 from me. The girl even said they have redone their contracts since I had signed to make things more clear. What a racket, and all of this considering that I was a member for 6 months used the gym a total of 2 times. They had no problem taking my money for all that time and at the end without extending any grace. Would not recommend at all. read more

For being one of the cheaper monthly memberships, it serves its purpose in allowing a place to burn calories on your schedule. However, this company is still in it for your money. They require a 3 month commitment when you first sign up, there is an enrollment fee (though I can't remember how much that is right now), they make you buy their mat and towel for like $100 dollars (you are not allowed to use your own), and if you want to cancel your membership they make you pay a steep fee. You have to either give a 2 month notice and pay two months of membership or you have to pay $99 upfront to cancel immediately. I cancelled because I was getting the same workouts for three or four months straight and it was just not worth the money. Not to mention that the thunder rowers SUCK. They are so heavy I literally couldn't use them for more than two minutes and I have taken many rowing classes before. I also am planning a wedding and need to cut back on extra expenses. So when I went to cancel (in person, because you can't do it online) and I'm suddenly told that I have to pay more money I was incredibly frustrated. And no, I was not told this when I signed up, even though I explicitly asked about it, but it's apparently in the depths of their contract. What's even worse is that the employee I spoke with was saying so many people end up not knowing that's the policy and also end up really upset when they find out. All in all, if you just need a place to burn calories and to have some privacy while working out (considering the three-person saunas are usually only booked by one person at a time due to how small they are) then go ahead and give it a go. But just know they are no different than any other predatory gym that finds every way to charge you. You may be better off just finding a gym that doesn't try to milk your wallet. P.S. it's like impossible to contact anyone in corporate. Everything just gets sent to the individual franchise and I never even got a call back from them when I voiced my concerns. read more

Best workout in least amount of time. Love how it's 24/7! The staff is awesome and it's always very clean. The studio offers a variety of fitness classes for everyone's lifestyle. I love that they are not huge group classes and you see results quickly. Highly recommend giving HotWorx a try. read more

i've been a member at hotworx a total of four years, throughout college. hotworx flower mound was the nearest location to me and it was by far the worst hotworx i've been to management wise. manager is not active within the members but will email you when not aware of the full situation. i ended up cancelling less than a month after signing due to management. less than 3 weeks after i cancelled, got my cancellation agreement, and paid the last 2 months for my partner and i upfront, the manger emailed me and said the process wasn't done correctly and that i needed to come in again. i emailed her how i was not happy about the miscommunication and didn't get a response. the final straw was when i was going in for my usual sunday Yoga. i signed up through the app, went it and my code was no longer working. i still had one full month that i had already paid for upfront to avoid anymore confusions on any side. i called monday morning and the employee said i was no longer active in the system, my cancellation agreement was no longer there since i was removed / disabled as a member. the manager disabled my code, i emailed her, and still nothing. luckily the employee who helped me was able to get my code working again and i was able to go my last month. would not recommend this location based on poor management and lack of communication. read more

Be very careful when getting a membership! If you find you do not like to work out in the heat in a room that you cannot stretch your arms out while trying to do yoga ( I am 5'7") and try to cancel they will tell you it is 60 days. I canceled and they continued to charge my card, I called and was told that when I signed up it was a 5 month minimum. So the 60 day thing was void. I don't mind paying for what I use but I have now paid for myself and my daughter for three months of zero use. I was told today that this "should be my last draw." Stay tuned. read more

VERY rude management. Be sure you read the fine print in the contract. What they verbally tell you when you sign up for a membership about bringing guests isn't the same as the fine print. And once you are a member and bring a guest they will hold you to the fine print. The manager must have been trying to practice or impress the kid she was training because she sure did like to hear herself talk even after I said 'no problem, I understand'. Ms Manager, next time you decide to be rude to a customer you might consider a more positive tone and delivery (hey! I'm sure you probably didn't know but .... and I'd love to have your guest become a member so you guys could come wherever you want) You missed the opportunity to gain another member (the guest who was trying it out) instead you lost a member and a potential member. read more

This is a great place to work out detox and shed some pounds I've lost 30 pounds so far since I started working out here (at least four times a week). Your recovery time from the workout is super quick and you feel so good afterwards. I love HotWorx! You get to have one free session to try it out to see if it's for you I know it's not for everybody due to working out in the sauna, but for me, I get so much more Calorie burn from Working out in the sauna that I would have otherwise. read more

The workouts are good and the people are very nice but beware if you ever need to cancel, like in our situation as small business owners or in our older daughter's case because she moved out of state. They have a very punitive cancellation policy and will not make any adjustments. read more

Very disappointed in the sign-up process for this workout facility. The staff did not seem informed upon signing up and were unable to give specific dates on when cancellation would be an option in case I was not happy. I signed up when there was supposedly a free month but since the contract did not start until after the free month, I was still obligated to pay for the five month minimum. (They have a three month minimum and then a 60 day cancellation policy.) After speaking to the manager about how misleading I felt this tactic was, I was told I would not have to pay for the fifth month. Yet my credit card was charged anyway. When I called their attention to this once again, I was told that was their policy and nothing could be done about it. At the grand opening upon signing up I was told that if I was not pleased with the facility/workout that the manager would always work with me because she didn't want someone to be stuck in a contract where they weren't happy. But I guess this is not actually the case. The workout facility was nice however I found it difficult/awkward to work out with other people in such a small space. When I would try to book a room by myself, inevitably someone would either book at the last minute or not book at all yet join in the same room. Lastly, it's difficult to work with a facility that does not have a full-time staff to address any needs that might come up. Lesson learned. If you're truly confident in your facility and its benefits, there's no reason to trap people in a contract for five months. read more
