I kept seeing this ad on Facebook to try a workout for free in a sauna heated room. After see a location that I kept driving by after several months, I decided to stop by and chat with a staff member about their free trial. She gave me a tour and I scheduled to return a couple days later. My mom, sister in law, and a cousin all came in to check the place out AND WE LOVED IT. We did a 45 minute workout in one sauna for cores and a 15min blast cycle. Each room is equip with a workout video timed (30-45mins) and even the small gym in the back has tips on some workouts to do. You can control the heat and timer for your workout inside and out the rooms. You can workout in the dark or turn the light on inside. But it's not so dark that you can't see what you're doing or your tools. We left feeling so refreshed and couldn't stop talking about how amazing we felt. We returned a couple days later and signed up as well as get started on our membership. The signing up was a bit of a hassle but they quickly got us all covered. For a new location, we got to sign up with a promotion deal that couldn't be beat since regular fees are pretty high. And because we signed up as a family, they mentioned then that it can be lower for the rest (of the members). So the primary person pays a higher rate (as well as monthly) and that worked for us. Did I mention it's 24/7? And we loved that it's not as packed, you have to reserve the rooms to workout so that's convenient although we didn't read the app correctly the first time we tried to book a room (which I like cus it's diff but convenient so you have a set space to workout privately) and missed a night of working out, but all good. We called and they walked us through it. I can't stop talking about the place and I just LOVE the way I feel during a infrared heat workout and when I leave. This place is amazing.
A few downfalls (not related to the workouts and purpose of the place) is that it is a bit to small to walk through the cycle rooms. Their vending machine (for drinks) doesn't work so they have to open it each time you pay and nothing comes out, so that's inconvenient when no staff is on duty (a sign would be helpful). You have to pay extra to use other locations for the day, not like most workout gyms to just be convenient to use a nearby location in a diff city (as a member and the high monthly fee that's paid). One more thing, they make you download two apps and one is for HOTWORX while the other is a pass that doesn't work so they also provide you with a pin to use at door. I guess I'll have to find time to call or go up there while staff is avail to get the pass app to work to avoid looking up the pin each time. But music is great so I guess that makes up for some of these flaws. Other that that, I'm loving HOTWORX. read more
