I have tried several classes including Pole 1 & 2, Belly Dancing, Boxing, Snatched, and flexibility. The boxing was by far my favorite class and I wish I could take it there every day. It's an intense full body workout, but taught at every level. The pole classes are taught extremely well and their classes truly build upper body strength and for me as a woman that is a struggle. I do wish they wouldn't intergrate Pole 2 into Pole 1 and Pole 3&4 into Pole 2. It makes it a little difficult for those who are still learning. They do well incorporating fitness goals into each program. I am very pleased with the instructors and the music played during classes. This is a very energetic gym and remembers names whether you go every day or once a week. You feel held accountable. I look forward to joining this gym in the near future. The staff is very friendly and concerned with your overall health and well-being. It's not just about the money at this gym. I truly feel like they care about making you a better you. They do different challenge programs and make sure no one feels intimidated.

I was beyond disappointed by my experience as soon as I walked in and saw my friend in tears because she was so disappointed. My understanding, a Groupon is how you get your new clientele IN THE DOOR...you usually have on your best face because you are trying to get new business. If that was mr 'friendly-front-desk' man's best face...I can't imagine how we would be treated once signed up with a package and he had my credit card on Auto-Pay. I've always been told - you decide who to give your money to. Sadly, I will never have the great experience I've read about on this page, because the face of the company has soured it for me and I will never come back. It was a $39 Groupon, that could've turned into a long term relationship well over that amount. Aside from that, it shouldn't matter if I come in spending $5 or $500 - treat me like you need or like your job and not like I'm an inconvenience to you. On to the next pole!!

This is not a place where the instructor will yell at you, or get in your face, if you're going slower than others. It is a place to learn proper form, at your own pace, and meet some great people! Jennifer will actually encourage you to slow down to perfect your form. If you have been nervous about starting an exercise routine, this is an excellent place to start! It is priced very reasonably for what you get, great workouts with a trainer who is monitoring form and watching for signs that you're over-exerting yourself, and won't judge your weaknesses. In addition, the people who workout here are not judgmental, and are welcoming of new members. One of the scariest parts of going to a gym to workout is the fear of what others will think or say, but the atmosphere of SWEATS is one of positivity and celebrating each other's accomplishments (even the small ones)!

I asked a few members who have been there for awhile why they chose BlackBox, and more than one said they were former crossfitters who preferred the atmosphere at BlackBox more. So far the BlackBox coaches Blake and Todd have given me more hands-on coaching on olympic lifts and other compound movements than I've received anywhere else. While the strength and conditioning classes are going on there will be members of the Texas Barbell Club and other committed oly lifters practicing around you. It reminds me of training at Lord's Boxing Gym in Austin, where class members are mixed in with those doing more structured, long-term training. It makes a fun, motivating atmosphere, I recommend you check it out!
