I would give this zero stars. I stayed here with my husband and the front desk lady gave him a hard time off the bat, she told him they sold the room to someone else and needed to give him a different room (with smaller beds) and was not friendly or apologetic about it at ALL. She was acting so off She seemed like she was under the influence or something. The bathroom smelled very strongly of mildew and the shower was the tiniest square with no tub, just a small lip to keep it off the floor. You couldn't even move the shower head so it was impossible to actually wash off because of the angle. After getting settled in and already dressed for bed we realized that the curtain on the window wouldn't fully cover the window. The corner had a short part that faced directly into the main parking lot on the ground floor. If you tried to pull it shut the middle of the curtain would open. That felt intentional and extremely suspicious. and the WORST part was that when we were lying in bed all of a sudden we hear someone unlock our room door and BARG IN! luckily we put the lock block on so the door was not able to fully open. my husband went to the lobby to see what the deal was and the front desk woman reluctantly admitted to it. She said she "didn't realize we were in there and was trying to get some sheets". Which makes NO sense, when she gave us the room not even an hour before. And why would she be needing sheets off of a clean bed from an "empty" room. In the morning check out is at 11am however not even past 10am the cleaning women were extremely loud talking and laughing outside our room door. They were speaking Spanish and probably assumed we couldn't understand. They were complaining how we were the last ones left in our room and they needed us to hurry up so they could get done working. Trying to talk loud so we would get up and leave. This place was extremely eerie and it felt so unsafe knowing that someone tried to barge in on us. And unprofessional for them to not give us the type of room we paid for AND then try to rush us out over an hour before checkout.

My poor fiancé is on a business trip and made a reservation at the hotel. He never complains and I am always the person to ask to change or for fresh towels but he is complaining to me and I feel awful. The following are real photos of his room that seems lived in and should not be rented for the night at more than 50 a night but it almost 300 a night?!?!?!?! Howww it's being expense by his company but feel like this hotel should have better standards especially to my fiancé who just wants a clean room and clean bed.

The picture says most of what you need to know about Hotel Vue. The location isn't very good, the rooms are small, musty and feel like a 'chic' Motel 6. I don't recall seeing a single other guest while I was there and that just added to the dreariness of the hotel. My biggest complaint is that the rooms don't have curtains you can close all the way. So if you want to lay on the bed and watch TV in your underwear, you better hope somebody doesn't pull their car around and park and shine the lights into your room. Oh did I mention the first floor rooms are just next to the parking lot? It's incomprehensible to me that a hotel wouldn't have curtains that can close to give travelers some privacy. The furniture in my room was slightly damaged and the fridge would randomly make a bunch of noise - I wonder if the other people who might have been as unfortunate as I was to stay here heard my fridge through the paper-thin walls. I honestly can't believe this place is in business with how crappy the rooms are. If I had paid to stay here and walked in and saw the room I would have walked out. I absolutely am not surprised about the bed bugs pictures and comments I saw. The WiFi did work and there was literally food at breakfast. The receptionists were nice. If you stay here after reading this review that's your fault.

This small cute hotel is actually very nice and welcoming. Although it's nothing fancy like the other bigger hotels. The rooms are very clean and spacious. Plenty of free parking and it always smelled clean. The ice machine is on the first floor and there is Free breakfast that consists of eggs, bacon, fresh fruits, juice, yogurt and other items. I would recommend this hotel for anyone who is working and needs a good nights rest or traveling with a family. There is plenty of places to eat walking distance. In and out is across the street along with other stores. Front desk has always went above and beyond as well.

Coffee maker obviously filthy like it has never been cleaned. there's obviously no attention to detail by hotel staff.

January 2023, I booked two nights here. And I am never coming back. First off, the room gave me bad vibes from the moment I checked in. The carpet was dirty and you can tell it hasn't been washed in years. The lights above the "bathroom" sink didn't even work. It's very obvious the house keeping doesn't clean everything after every guest but appears to only clean stuff that looks like it was used or touched. I went to take a shower and the water came out brown!! There was holes in the curtains and the coffee maker was open and dirty as if it has never been cleaned. As someone who frequently stayed in hotels this is by far one of the worst I've ever been to. I strongly advise DO NOT BOOK HERE. I only paid $75 a night and I see they charge some people up to $200 a night!???? Rip off!! Filthy and a disgrace to the hotel businesses in the area

The beds are older than they appear in the hotel's official photos

This was the worst hotel stay of my life. After changing rooms due to cigarette odor, the heater in my room broke. The front desk person would only tour the ground floor with me for a replacement room, and we found one that was supposed to be empty but looked lived in. I settled on a room with the least odor and settled in. When I came back later that night, to my horror the room still smelled of cigarettes. I gathered my things and went to the car so I could go home, 40 miles away. They had also failed to clean the room because the housekeeping staff mistook the "maid service please" sign for a do not disturb sign. A language barrier is understandable, but not if the hotel offers signage like this. Friendly staff, but poor management and dated rooms. Cleanup needs to be more thorough after smokers smoke in the rooms too: my arm smelled like an ashtray after sitting in one of the chairs. This older building could use renovation. There were a few welcome modern touches, but the stink of the old place cannot be washed off.

Booked a room for a Sunday night last minute of the Hotel Tonight app and found Hotel Vue. The price was good and the hotel looked quaint from the pictures. The staff was friendly and very accommodating. My room was very clean and modern with a very comfortable bed. The wifi worked well and the TV had good channels to chose from. The complementary breakfast in the morning was better than most - cereal, toast, bagels, eggs, sausage, bacon, yogurt, oatmeal, fruit, muffins, etc. My only complaint would be how thin the walls seemed in the morning - we could hear every door open and close, people in the hallway, etc. It seemed quite loud in the morning (and early too! Before 7 AM). Besides that, I enjoyed my stay and this hotel.

This place gets pretty packed on the weekends. I will write a review on this place as it deserves one but back to the hotel. When we arrived our room came with a complimentary drink! We grabbed our drinks and headed up to our room. To our surprise a welcome board awaited us with chocolates, figs, nuts, and a bottle of water. It was so cute as well as perfect timing because I needed a little snack before heading to our event. Let's face it this girl always wants a snack and I love fresh figs. Our room was an adequate size and the bed was super comfy. They took every small detail into consideration. They even had separate water for you to fill the steamer. You know how sometimes the water can cause white, salt like residue? Well not here. There was a small squeeze bottle for you to fill the steamer. Come on; who thinks of that? I wished we had more time in our room but it was a shower, a quick change then off we went. The parking is across from the hotel. You do have to pay for it but it's convenient so there's that. I definitely want to come back as it is a great place to hang out , especially with food next door!

Staff here are friendly and nice. Restrooms are clean and modern! Last night I came for the jazz night in their lounge. It was Terrigal and Tamara that were performing, and they sounded lovely! I truly enjoyed the music for the night. My gal friend and I first sat at a sofa nearby the stage, and we kept smelling farts. Someone nearby kept letting it rip. Not okay. Eventually halfway through the jazz night, we relocated to a couch towards the back where there was less people. But then the people who was sitting close to us followed and sat on the couch next to us too. Lol We both enjoyed a glass of wine, and it was good. I definitely recommend coming here for their jazz night. It seems to be happening every other Friday. Since one of my girl friends couldn't make it last night, we'll be coming again for the next jazz night on March 27th. :) I definitely recommend parking on San Antonio to save the $10 valet parking fee!

Don't you hate it when other reviewers don't tell you how much they paid? I mean, if you break it down with the free parking (at least $10), the free breakfast (at least $25 for family of 4), the EV charging (at least $15), this place really is quite the bargain. If you come here on Wednesday night there is a manager's reception. Unfortunately, we left Tuesday so no go there. Speaking of parking, it's gated. There is a sense of safety associated with the gated and pass you need on your car when you check in. Yes, there are outdoor parking spots but we had a room next to the service elevator which took us straight to the basement. It was perfect that we didn't have to lug too far. And as for elevators, there are 2 on every floor. One closer to check in and the other the service elevator. The weight room oddly enough is on the 3rd floor. I think my only complaint here was there was no remote for the TV. Other than that, they had free weights, kettlebells, treadmills, exercycles, and one Paleton. The swimming pool unfortunately was out of commission, not that anyone wanted to swim in the cold. Free internet connection was about 10Mb down, just enough for casual use. 4 Tessie chargers and 2 J1772 chargers underground. Free breakfast details. I believe it's 6am to 10pm. There really isn't a lot table for four. I only saw one table like that but there are just enough tables for everyone. As for the food, I wanted to applaud that it was different on both days we were here for the main. They had chorizo and sausage one day and pulled chicken and bacon the next. I also wanted to chime in that the fresh blueberries and blackberries are such a nice tough. Usual oatmeal, waffles, cereal, baked goods (the croissants here are delicious) The negatives: I did wish the coffee in the lobby was hot when we first check in. But that was not a deal breaker. My only gripe here was maybe the bathroom. Water pressure was below average and the shower base looked like they ran out of money remodeling. We utilized their media room with some of our friends whom we've haven't seen in years. We ate there and had a comfortable time as if this was our dining room. If you needed the maids to redo the room, you'll have to contact housekeeping. We were there for 2 nights, definitely did not need help but did wish for more cookies and chocolate :) Oh, very important. There's only 1 entrance here off El Camino and make sure you have your key card at all times because the you'll need it for entry. Big thank you to Holly for getting the exact room we wanted, #416. For that much money you would expect a great experience but the hotel decided to cut corners and save money by cleaning the carpets in the guest rooms while people were staying in them. There was a sign in my room saying they were doing all the rooms on a floor the same day. I didn't want people cleaning the carpets while I was staying in the room so I left the do not disturb tag on my door but when I got back to the room on the 2nd day of my stay after working all day they had ignored it. I found the carpets were soaking wet and the room smelled of cleaning chemicals. I initially left my shoes on but the slimy liquid mixture of cleaner and hotel carpet gunk made my shoes slide like I was on ice when stepping off the carpet onto the tiled parts of the room. So then I took the shoes off and didn't slide on the tile but my socks soaked through quickly and became super uncomfortable so I ended up just going barefoot and having to fall asleep with the feeling of gross wet sticky feet. The next morning everything was dry and the carpet seemed normal so the hotel only would have needed a single day without a guest in the room to clean the carpet without impacting the experience of anyone staying there. The tiled parts of the room had also dried into a gross sticky film that was like walking around a terrible dive bar. I got in touch with Hilton after my stay and they weren't interested in the details of what happened. I offered to share pictures showing my experience but they declined them. I asked for a refund for the 2nd night but after putting me on hold for a while they only offered Hilton points. When I declined that they put me back on a hold for a while and then offered a voucher that was good for 1 night only at Homewood Suites. When I declined that they finally offered a partial refund but made it as painful as possible and wouldn't just put it back on my card but instead got my address and claim that they will send me a check that I will have to deal with.
