Came here just for drinks by the beach. Parking can be tricky and you cannot park on the main road or you will get towed. Once you are there however the view is amazing and of course the Tulum music is piped throughout. There are chaise chairs you can rent along the beach and the open air bar has a sweeping view of the ocean. I found my new drink: ojo rojos and a negra modelo. Just the right amount of lycopene, beer and spice. Had one of those and waded into the bathwater ocean. It was divine. As far as the food and lodging I can't speak to that, but if you just want to have a drink along the turquoise water, I'd recommend. Edit: did come back to try the food! This is one of the nicest hotels I have ever been. Beautifully integrated in nature, it has spacious rooms right on the beach , steps form the water. Staff was super nice and restaurant food is delicious too. My daughter thinks the hotel was highlight of our vacation ! We will be back read more

Location was a mess to get to. Not even found on Google maps. Had me drive half an hour in the wrong direction to get a completely different hotel. Second they should mention at booking the additional cost for a bracelet you pay to get to the hotel. Seems sketchy and ridiculous to not be upfront. Called to get directions and no answer. See picture, no one at front desk for over 10 minutes. Booked because of ratings, that seemed purchased. The units are extremely hard to find at night because of the set up. Getting to the beach from the rooms is a hassle. The air conditioning in the unit didn't work and was crawling with insects in the room. Had to fight off an aggressive spider. Not a place to relax as the beds are uncomfortable and the lack of AC. Over priced location for beach front. Booked because my first choice wasn't available, horrible mistake. To sum it up, staff rating 3, location 3, room 3. These scores are related to the lack of attention by the staff and room. The best thing was the breakfast and that's a shame. read more

The view was amazing and staff was super friendly for the most part. I would give 5 stars but had a few inconveniences. Bed was super hard water pressure for the shower was almost none existent. We had their included breakfast only 2 days first day was amazing food and service was great second day they brought cold coffee. Server seemed irritated that I'd rather order off the regular menu then get the free stuff. Other then that the view and location was amazing. Listening to the ocean while I fell asleep was extremely nice. There were a few things that were no big issues for us since we didn't spend a lot of time in our room but just an FYI for anyone thinking about reserving. Wifi is not in the rooms only in the restaurant No tv but who needs one in paradise No do not disturb sign so they will come clean every day read more

It was just AMAZING!!! We first ordered a beer, but was interested in more from their menu!! Funny fact: the cocktails are $250 min each, but the bottle of white wine it's $1000mxn, so we ended up buying 2 bottles hahaha And for food: The shrimp pizza it's delicious!! The only problem we had it was with the credit card machine, my friend ended up paying with her card (maybe it was the bank or something) but they were really nice!!!! ¡Fue simplemente INCREÍBLE! This review is for the Koqure Japanese kitchen restaurant next to pocna hotel. Sushi so good so fresh. Located right along the beach with cabana. This spot caught our attention with bright red pillows and nice house music. Surprisingly good and real fresh sushi. Presentation are also nice. Loved everything we ordered. read more

By far the best hotel!!! I stayed at Bungaló 10 (tower) and had the best view. I did not care that the bathroom was on the second floor, I actually thought it was awesome. The staff is super friendly, our waiter Blas was incredible, super polite and very friendly. The menu at the beach bar is good and all the tacos are very tasty. You must try the fruit juices or the Passion Fruit Mojito. I got to feed baby iguanas at breakfast (they like bananas) and walk to the Mayan Ruins - super close. Also, at the beach you can pay for a tour and see Sea Turtles and Manta Rays, an incredible experience. read more

We stopped in for a few tacos and a drink and service was perfect from the start. They explained that they were short staffed due to an event off site and told us exactly what food was available, which was still most of it. Once ordered, Mitchel came back very soon with a polite apology from the bartender that they were out of passion fruit for the margarita. A way different experience from the last place we had dinner at which they were abrupt and rude. Tacos were fantastic and in house sauces were delicious. Presentation was magnificent. Mitchel was amazing server and met all of our expectations above and beyond. At the end of the night Mitchel helped us get a cab. Definitely recommend 100% read more

The beach club was ok. The service here was not the best. The wait staff seemed I'll equipped to handle even the smallest request (napkins, towels, cutlery, etc). These being some of the basic things you would need if you came to a beach club and spending money. read more

The core problem is that they overbook, and therefore don't respect reservations. We selected a room with a view, but were told they'd already given that one away, and instead gave us one with more privacy but no view at all. The front desk person initially told me that their reservation system doesn't even store what room you chose(!), but later admitted that they just overbooked. While discussing this with the person at the front desk, another staff member was on the phone: "we have to cancel a reservation because we overbooked. We've arranged for them to stay in another hotel." They have diverse types of room, including a typical air conditioned hotel space and low-tech palapas, and I can only guess whether reserving one will land you in another. I don't expect they're going to con anybody out of their money entirely, but it seems you have zero guarantee that you're going to get what you paid for. Setting aside the indifference to reservations, the hotel experience was average to positive. The palapas have the charm that we were looking for. They are indeed low-tech: if your companion has the front door key, just come in through the window. The plaster walls don't reach the thatched roof, giving the roof some drama it otherwise wouldn't have. Cooling via sea breeze was pleasant and worked well for us (we were there in Feb). Hot water is slow to arrive but good when it gets there. The largely symbolic free breakfast they had for me was a fruit plate and toast, juice and coffee. Other food is at luxury resort prices. The beach: it's Caribbean coastline and everything it should be. The hotel provides a DJ who spins inoffensive restaurant-style beats for their portion of the beach during peak daytime hours only. Our palapa was adjacent to the booth so we got to, um, enjoy the music all day, at a volume loud enough to shake the windows. The coastline at night is beautiful, as are the million stars one sees given clear skies and no light pollution. read more

Be careful when you aren't a client of the hotel and politely ask the staff if you can use the beans to lay on the beach. They will tell you it's okay if you buy for 300 pesos, so you buy for more than enough, but then another member of the staff on the beach tells you that you can't use it. SCAM! On top of this, they don't want to prepare the drink (mojito) in front of you and they'll bring it to you, so they give you only juice and no alcohol in it, and put the money in their pockets. Seriously, poc-na you should have more consideration for your clients. read more
