Spider in room

Location was a mess to get to. Not even found on Google maps. Had me drive half an hour in the wrong direction to get a completely different hotel. Second they should mention at booking the additional cost for a bracelet you pay to get to the hotel. Seems sketchy and ridiculous to not be upfront. Called to get directions and no answer. See picture, no one at front desk for over 10 minutes. Booked because of ratings, that seemed purchased. The units are extremely hard to find at night because of the set up. Getting to the beach from the rooms is a hassle. The air conditioning in the unit didn't work and was crawling with insects in the room. Had to fight off an aggressive spider. Not a place to relax as the beds are uncomfortable and the lack of AC. Over priced location for beach front. Booked because my first choice wasn't available, horrible mistake. To sum it up, staff rating 3, location 3, room 3. These scores are related to the lack of attention by the staff and room. The best thing was the breakfast and that's a shame.

The view was amazing and staff was super friendly for the most part. I would give 5 stars but had a few inconveniences. Bed was super hard water pressure for the shower was almost none existent. We had their included breakfast only 2 days first day was amazing food and service was great second day they brought cold coffee. Server seemed irritated that I'd rather order off the regular menu then get the free stuff. Other then that the view and location was amazing. Listening to the ocean while I fell asleep was extremely nice. There were a few things that were no big issues for us since we didn't spend a lot of time in our room but just an FYI for anyone thinking about reserving. Wifi is not in the rooms only in the restaurant No tv but who needs one in paradise No do not disturb sign so they will come clean every day

Pleasant beach club with Fantastic views. Dig your toes in the sand while you enjoy your meal and feel the ocean breeze. The seafood fried rice and the Baja Fish Tacos were really good!

The most amazing rustic beach front hotel ever! Everything is so tranquil! Hotel is right on the beach, and you stay in private rooms. Offers yoga classes right in the jungle, & restaurants.

Breakfast was tasty and fresh. Beautiful sights. Many guest seem to be working remotely, I had no problems with my WiFi there. Service was fast my server was friendly but overall the staff didn't seem too welcoming. I would eat here again though.

This review is for the Koqure Japanese kitchen restaurant next to pocna hotel. Sushi so good so fresh. Located right along the beach with cabana. This spot caught our attention with bright red pillows and nice house music. Surprisingly good and real fresh sushi. Presentation are also nice. Loved everything we ordered.

By far the best hotel!!! I stayed at Bungaló 10 (tower) and had the best view. I did not care that the bathroom was on the second floor, I actually thought it was awesome. The staff is super friendly, our waiter Blas was incredible, super polite and very friendly. The menu at the beach bar is good and all the tacos are very tasty. You must try the fruit juices or the Passion Fruit Mojito. I got to feed baby iguanas at breakfast (they like bananas) and walk to the Mayan Ruins - super close. Also, at the beach you can pay for a tour and see Sea Turtles and Manta Rays, an incredible experience.

The restaurant in Poc-na was very good. We went looking for breakfast and saw the restaurant seemed to have some activity so we gave it a chance. Everything was very fresh and tasty. A little on the higher end for a breakfast, pricewise.

The best language immersion program I have ever attended and I have attended The Goethe Institut…read more It's an open air, jungle experience with an emphasis on sustainability and community. Without making any paper waste, my Spanish was quadrupled in just 3 weeks. The classes are small, outrageously fun and conversational. I took advantage of the free yoga every morning, the evening culture classes, the weekend optional excursions and most importantly the host family living arrangements. It was, hands down, the most valuable part of the experience. The host family lived near and gave me a bicycle for the duration of my stay. The hosts were warm, welcoming, accommodating and made Mexican food from scratch every single day. My vocabulary blossomed during these family meals, where the human experience is so universal, you take part in these conversations and next thing you know, you're fluent. Cannot speak highly enough of the Meztli School for putting this all together.

All I can say is, IT WAS THE BEST DECISION EVER! I stayed for a month--which means I had EVERY teacher there is at Meztli. Every single teacher there genuinely wants to be there, which is probably the most important part of it: they love it, and they love the students. Secondly, their methods are so effective. One of my favorite things is that they rotate your teachers (one teacher for grammar; then after break, a new teacher for conversation). You don't get used to one way of speaking or teaching, and it keeps you on your toes. I also did 2 hours of private classes after group classes, with two different teachers all 4 weeks. Staying with a host family was a dream for me, and I know i'll be in touch with them for years to come. The way the school is directed and run is so thoughtful. Sara, the director, truly cares for every students happiness and safety and experience overall. The outings are so fun, and EXTREMELY reasonably priced. and by the way, yoga is a huge benefit. it's taught so well, and it taught me verb tenses, directions, and body parts in no time. Cannot wait to go back. Meztli, si tu estas leyendo, te extraño! Gracias por todo, nos vemos a pronto en Skype! Me digo a mismo, cantas, no llore!!! :-)

Rooms are minimalistic with thin walls (can hear next door conversations and more!). Single room is very small, approximately 5' x 8'. Sheets are not changed, only tended to. Shared bathrooms are clean and ecological soap/shampoo is provided. Water in shower/sink is slightly salty. Yoga instructors are great! Yoga area is open but covered by a mesh curtain / mosquito net (this does not keep mosquitos out). Floors are made of wooden planks that are not perfectly even and have gaps in between. Nonetheless, these flaws go with feel of the property and did not disrupt my yoga practice. In short, you get what you pay for.

They offer yoga classes twice a day on the weekdays and once on the weekends, and the styles vary a lot. I liked three of the four teachers we went to, but the fourth one was bad enough that we avoided going to her class again, even though it was at the most convenient time for us. There's a lot to not like about yoga shala. The yoga studio itself is set up horribly. The floor is made up of uneven wood planks with large gaps between them, with gaps up to an inch wide. This makes everything awkward and uncomfortable, as you struggle to find a non-gappy area to place your hands and feet. The studio is enclosed in a mosquito net with a large hole in it, so not only do you lack a wall to practice inversions, but you will be eaten alive by mosquitoes. Insect repellent is highly recommended. It gets really hot under the net, and some of the teachers choose not to run the fans, so that was very uncomfortable at times. Overall, it was not a great experience, but I did go back five times, so it was clearly not the worst thing in the world. If I had to do it over again, I would have chosen a studio with a solid floor.
