We stayed at Michelet Odeon Hotel in Paris this week and have loved it. We got the Family Suite which includes two bedrooms (240 eur pn) One with a double bed and two single beds. The room was small but clean with large windows facing the street. Great to let in the summer breeze. The Internet worked very fast after figuring it out. My Google browser kept blocking me but after I got past that by manually typing the hotel website and logging in, it worked perfectly. The front desk speaks English and is very friendly. Hotel Michelet Odeon is located next to the Odeon Theatre and within blocks of Sardonne University. We took the RER train (10 eur pp) from the airport to St Michell-Norte Dame Station. After this, the quaint boutique hotel is about a 10 minute walk. As with any large city you must keep your wits about you, but the surrounding area was very safe to walk around at night. There were several restaurants and cafes just two blocks away. Street parking seems to be hard to find but I was told there is a car park about 5 minutes away for about 20 eur a day. Personally I would take the train if possible since the main attractions of Paris can be accessed by walking from here. The Pantheon is a 5 min walk, Norte Dame 10 mins, Louvre 15 mins, Eiffel Tower and Arc de Triumph about 35 minutes. The hotel is centrally located and a great value in comparison with other Hotels. I would stay here again. read more
