Hôtel was fine. Service was great. Always greeted from every staff person on a daily basis. They only serve breakfast (no dinner) but the choices for breakfast were great. Everything from eggs and omelets to croissants and cereal.
Pros: room was a good size for a Paris city hotel and was clean! They had a lot of conveniences: instant coffee and tea with a kettle (along with creamers and sugar) which was replenished each morning, water bottles or cans each day, some sort of sweet treat was left in our room each day, minibar (not free), all the bathroom necessities (shampoo, conditioner, shower gel, tooth brush kit, vanity kit, hair dryer, fresh towels daily). Large tv which we personally didn't use but others in my party used theirs. There's a couple of elevators but they are small. They never stopped working and I never felt like we had to wait long. Lobby was big with lots of little places to sit and ponder life. They had a sitting room and a bar area with a bartender who was attentive and kind. Most staff people were trilingual: French, Spanish and English. We noticed a big Spanish trend in visitors and staff. Quite a few restaurants (high end or quicker service) within walking distance (1 block away or as far as a 10-15 min walk away). If you like shopping... just around the corner you can find all the high end perfume and bag shops. Also close by was the metro, Muse Leorangerie, park with cafes, Louvre (5-7 min walk)... Notre dame (7-8 min metro or 15-20 min walk). Eiffel Tower was farther away but we did that when we did the on and off bus. One of the stops for the TOOT bus (on and off) was about 7 min walk.
Cons: in our room the toilet was separate from the shower and sink which would be fine except there was no sink in that toilet room and it was on the opposite end of the room. It was just strange. The street view can be noisy but if you don't mind that sort of thing then it's fine. I find it endearing to the experience. The AC was having a hard time keeping up with the desired temp. We found out on of the hotel units wasn't working and so it was warmer than I'd prefer it to be but they loaned us a fan which helped quite a bit. read more
