The coziest little restaurant. I came here with a group on NYE and it feels like you are in a ski house's living room. Our server was awesome and very attentive. Food was amazing - especially loved the tacos. 10/10 can't wait to come back,

I will best describe Hotel Lilien as rustic elegance with the soul of a bed & breakfast. The hotel has 21st century amenities like checking in / out with your cellular device. I do miss having a front desk welcoming us to the hotel. Walking into the hotel space was interesting. Since this is a large lodge, we first entered into the dining room. Someone working in the kitchen came out and welcomed us, they explained the key is in your door. My wife and I carried our bags up the winding stairwell to our room. Once we entered our room space, it was unlike a hotel room and more like a B&B room. Inside the room, there was a small sitting alcove, a large bathroom as well as the comfy bed. Everything about the room felt well thought out, it was the perfect size for the two of us. With any B&B, I like to wake up early, sit in the comfy chairs while sipping a cuppa coffee. This is not the case with Hotel Lilien. When you leave your room and want to enter the common room or dining area, its all on lock down. They open at 8am, then you can sit by the wood burning stove with a your cup of coffee and listen to their soft jazz playing throughout the space. Continental Breakfast is provided, a freshly baked croissant with a hard boiled egg, a piece of cheese as well as sliced salmon or prosciutto. No cream cheese or jam. You get what you get! It was fine for our two night stay. The outside deck furniture was gorgeous, Plow & Hearth table & chairs along with gas heaters. I had to turn the gas on, the heater was never used before! The first night, My wife & sat on the deck for hotel guests .I had a bottle of wine and we just enjoyed the surroundings. I must point out, the parking lot is complete darkness so you'll need a flashlight to light your path from your car to the hotel. The hotel has a pool (closed in October) I asked them to light a bon fire for our second night, they did not light anything. The hotel is about 20 miles away from Woodstock, there are nice restaurants within driving distance. I want to point out, I drove my Tesla on a single charge from my home on Long Island straight to the hotel. There are Tesla chargers throughout the area, if you have a Hyundai, I'm not sure how you would charge but search them out. Driving through the mountains is nice, I'm not sure how it would be during the snow/ski season. Hotel Lilien, it was a great hotel stay. Thank you

Thank you for send back to me. I left shoes at hotel while I visiting with my daughter and grandson

Thank you send me back for my hiking shoes. It was beautiful place and service. My daughter and grandson had a great time. Thank you

My partner and I have stayed at the Lilien a couple times now and every time we are blown away. When you pull up you are genuinely taken a back by how beautiful the property is. Everything is curated extremely well, it feels like a modern cabin you never want to leave. The check-in process is so easy and everyone I've met that works there (especially Chris) are so kind. We've gotten the chicken sandwich every time we've stayed and it just keeps getting better. The whole place is a literal dream, if you have any sense at all you'll book your dream getaway here.

We stopped in last night on a whim while in Hunter for a little weekday getaway. We were immediately drawn to the moody dark bar and the beautiful mid/century modern lodge decor. The wood burning fireplace was beautiful, and we sat down in the main dining room to enjoy the atmosphere. We ordered some drinks and dinner, and unfortunately the food wasn't the star of the show. The fries were delicious though, and we are very picky about fries so those were the saving grace! We got to speak to one of the owners, Chris, who told us the story of how the Lilien came to be and it was such an interesting story! The entire hotel was falling down and he and his business partners brought it back to life, and had a designer come in and live near the property for a summer while she designed every detail. It's truly a beautiful place that's been renovated perfectly with no detail left untouched. We really enjoyed our time there and we can't wait to come back and stay in one of the guest rooms! One is even dog-friendly!

Oh What A Delightful Treat...!!…read more From the moment you walk in, you glean that this restaurant and inn is a very special place. The beautiful dark wood and crackling fireplace create a comfy and elegant ambiance that sets the tone for an unforgettable culinary experience. Our decision to come on a Saturday night was last minute, so the only way to get in was to arrive at 5 pm when they open and sit at the bar. Oh and what a treat and delight that proved to be!! Devon Whittaker, the mixologist, was about to begin a stint at Bard College on a Fulbright Scholarship to study some aspect of the neurosciences. Like Tom Cruise in the movie Cocktail, he dazzled us with his physical artistry and quenched our thirst for delicious drinks both with and without alcohol. It was a true "umbrella" drinker's (me) paradise. The food, exquisitely prepared by Chef Corwin Cave, was understatedly absolutely sublimely delicious. From the liver pate and house special lobster delight appetizer with oh so freshly baked bread, to the just perfectly prepared lamb shank as well as Wagyu beef and fish dish, our taste buds and nasal receptors were stimulated and satisfied to the max. Not to be left out was the wonderful assortment of deserts worth every calorie taken in. Our only regret was in leaving this culinary sanctuary which became tolerable knowing that the restaurant was only a reservation and two hour drive from NYC away...

We've come to absolutely LOVE the ambiance, service and more than anything, the flavor. During our first visit, we enjoyed a couple drinks.. we didn't fall in love with the place, but it caught our attention. We visited a month later and met Kyyeah, or as we like to say, Ky-HELL-YEAH (purposely corny)! Since then, Ky has simply made us feel like a part of the establishment.. he's introduced new menu options with enthusiastic detail and his recs NEVER fail. During our latest visit, we walked in without a reservation, but were greeted warmly and given an accurate wait time. When seated we enjoyed a delicious Pinot Noir WHITE wine, a Honeysuckle cocktail and a plethora of delicious appetizers that we've come to love. Although Ky wasn't our server he made sure to stop by, say hello and send over some delicious seasonal olives. Our actual server, Nima, was as welcoming as could be.. frequently ensuring our questions were answered and we had no requests unmet. All in all, just an absolute joy of an evening every single time. Simply cannot wait for our next visit!

What an unexpected gem!…read more We had planned on seeing The Nutcracker up in Albany, but I happened to hear on our local classical radio station that it was going to be in Tannersville.....wait, what?! Sure enough, upon googling, there it was! I promptly bought tickets. The outside makes it stand out, the inside was kind of open and had a couple posters advertising upcoming shows, then you go through this small door into a small theater - there isn't a bad seat in the house!! Not sure if they were trying to compensate for it being pretty cold outside, but it was very warm in the theater (and I'm ALWAYS cold!) I thought my husband was going to melt! There isn't a private parking lot that I could find, and being that it's on the main drag in Tannersville, you can park on the street or the small lots. We didn't have trouble parking, but if ski season was in full swing - 7 on a Friday night?! I imagine it would be more difficult. I will definitely be checking back for more shows and events.

My husband wanted somewhere with a fireplace so I began to look at bed and breakfasts. I came across Rosehaven Inn but found it to be closed. I then came across Curran's. I called and immediately spoke with Kelly who was incredibly informative and helpful. Curran's is self-lodging, meaning you let yourself in, enjoy your stay (don't expect housekeeping), and leave the key when you pull the door closed behind you. It was exactly what we wanted. Above a tavern (that is now closed), with parking in the back, the three rooms are beautiful. Each has a kitchen and fireplace, is warm and cozy, and is well cared for. My credit card was not charged until our actual stay, and Kelly made it known that she would be available by phone or e-mail should we need absolutely anything. There was a freestanding closet in which to hang our coats, an electric fireplace, tv, unbelievably comfortable bed, kitchen (mini fridge, electric stove top, keurig, microwave and sink), and soft carpeting throughout. The bathroom was like that out of a magazine. Dual-sink, rain showerhead, deep soaking tub, it was everything we could have wanted. I have never been so relaxed, nor left a vacation with such a smile on my face. My husband and I were THRILLED with our stay and will be returning to Curran's in the future.

The suite was elegant, comfortable, and very clean and fully supplied. The building and grounds were likewise cared for and well groomed. As seniors, we both have dietary needs that were simple to accommodate with the kitchen and eating area. Kelly assured us she was quickly available, but we had no need of any assistance, nor any complaints. The independence of checking in and out on our own was another asset. Finally, Curran's is on the quiet end of a creatively revived main street with several good eating venues. Recommended without hesitation. We will definitely return. Thank you Kelly!
