Wow! Very impressed with this restaurant. The buffet is one of the best I have every had. Everything from the meatballs, pasta, fried chicken, desserts were excellent. And unlike many buffets where the food is lukewarm, the food here was hot. Plus they offer free pool and darts at the bar.

Owner was drunk and extremely disrespectful. I do not recommend. I have never EVER experienced this anywhere in my life.

One of those hidden gem spots you become obssessed with gatekeeping in order to preserve the splendor, authenticity, originality and beauty of its design. I'm writing this review in order to give Ralph the credit and business he so wonderfully deserves. The food options offered are seasonal and work in conjunction with what is available, accessible and fits within the creative mind of Ralph the pizza maker and owner. He does a fantastic job working in the organic and local home grown produce and animal life provided by the surrounding areas to cultivate the food that his imagination prompts. While you wait, please feel free to bowl, play games in the arcade, take a dip in the pool, play some outdoor sports, or just simply sit at the bar. This is truly one of the most eclectic and surreal places I've been too. Big Indian truly is one of the most fascinating and enriching locations I've had the pleasure to venture to and experience.

Totally egregious pricing. Pizza (Lower East Sider, $29) was just a dollar more than the meatballs, further highlighting the ridiculous price they're charging for -- again -- teeny-tiny meatballs. Pizza was pretty tasty, like a homey spin on Spago's smoked salmon pizza. NOT RECOMMENDED.

The atmosphere immediately invites you to stay awhile: relaxed, cozy, spotless, and effortlessly trendy without trying too hard. It's the kind of place that feels both comfortable and current. The menu offered an excellent variety, making it hard to choose, but we started with the goat cheese and mushroom flatbread appetizer paired with cocktails, and it was the perfect beginning to the evening. Flavorful, balanced, and beautifully prepared. For dinner, we sampled two outstanding entrées. The wild shrimp dish was incredibly fresh, served over a vibrant mix of garden-picked greens, avocado, watermelon radish, and a flavorful kicker dressing that tied everything together perfectly. The Faroe Island salmon was equally impressive -- perfectly cooked and topped with locally picked ramp-infused butter, served over asparagus and fingerling potatoes. Every bite tasted fresh, seasonal, and thoughtfully crafted. Overall, this was a wonderful dining experience with warm hospitality, a welcoming vibe, and food that truly delivers. We will definitely back for dinner and stay for the live music as well.

Made a reservation over a week prior to the date directly with the owner Joseph by FB Messenger. (I knew they were catering a party for a nearby art gallery that night, so I wanted to make sure they were available for a private rez. Owner reassured me it was fine and he would make a special rez for me). So imagine my surprise when we walked in and were told by Christina that we had no reservation and no tables were available either! I politely explained that I had made a rez with the owner and showed my phone as proof. She walked into the back and disappeared for a awhile, then emerged and said the owner confirmed my reservation so she would "find me a table". No apology, acted like she was doing us a favor. We were seated at a table in a small separate area by the window that's normally reserved for people with no reservations; it was warm and uncomfortable but I was still hoping for the best. Cocktails were good but diluted with too much ice. We started with the Nonna's meatball appetizer, which was fairly tasty but served barely lukewarm with some cool spots. It arrived at our table less than 1 minute after we ordered it. (Maybe reheated in the kitchen?) My quarter chicken with carrots was a paltry portion for the price and suffered from overly aggressive use of the pepper shaker. (Note the large black flecks of pepper adorning the carrots in my picture). Partner's pasta with peas and truffles was made with with undercooked peas and lots of pepper, he couldn't finish it. Given our offhanded treatment I was hoping for a birthday treat or at least a greeting by the mysterious owner, but none were forthcoming. After the meal our server just said "happy birthday" and handed me the check. Partner's "Paloma Lisa" cocktail was listed on the menu and chalkboard at $13 but we were billed $14. Not a big difference, just an additional petty annoyance to an already unpleasant evening. We paid, tipped and left. I rarely give two star reviews, but that's about right for the birthday "non-celebration" delivered by The Print House. Maybe they were having a bad night what with the art gallery party, but there's just no excuse for lackluster food coupled with truly bad customer service. One and done.

We called ahead about a reservation, and the person on the phone couldn't have been nicer, fitting us in on short notice without a hitch. The food didn't disappoint either--my husband ordered the cowboy steak, and I had the chicken saltimbocca, and both were excellent. I sat at the bar, because there are never service issues there. Nice big bar. Decor right out of the 70s/80s, just like I expected. Had a bourbon, a beer, and a ribeye. The steak was very good, much better than I expected, and came just as I ordered, medium. I also ordered broccoli rabe because I just didn't really believe they had it. It was never brought out, and no mention was made - but it didn't show up on my bill. Left a fat tip and walked out happy. Recommend.

While a few OG, meat-and-potatoes restaurants still linger along backroads near us, hubs and I- now permanent residents in the Catskills since '24, have noticed how much the surrounding towns have evolved. And the spots that have been popping up are those that have a chic/boho/chichi/slash this/slash that style. Foxfire, was a nice surprise: a stylish, modern-farmhouse getup serving a simple menu that works no matter what eating lifestyle you follow. Foxfire felt incredibly cozy and inviting when we came here on a Saturday night to celebrate a new beginning soon. I mean...this is the kind of place you want to linger a little longer. Our server was pleasant and took his time answering my questions about whether certain dishes had mustard, mustard seed, mustard powder or Dijon. The Japanese Caesar salad sounded great on paper, but something told me to ask. Since mustard is usually part of a Caesar dressing and theirs didn't list it on the menu, I figured it was worth double-checking. Sure enough when I asked, it called for it. Next. We started with olives and creamy- but offbeat crab cakes. The cocktails looked great on paper but missed on strength. When both the starter and the drinks strike out, you get ready for a 3rd. Thankfully, the main plates kind of saved the night. Hubs liked his deconstructed "Farmhouse Chicken," sliced in 3 pieces ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ and my Branzino was delicious. Service was solid though, but let's talk pricing: $18 cocktails with zero punch and a $40+ Branzino portion that was kind of small....hmmm. Don't expect the drinks or portions to keep up with the price tag.
