We reserved a room for three adults and the room provided was a tight squeeze for three. The bathroom appears to have been updated recently and was quite small. Two 'french doors' opened to separate balcony's overlooking an open space that was under construction at the time of our visit. The area not surrounded by construction fencing was filled with loose bits of rubbish. Not the view we hoped for. One consideration in choosing this hotel was it's access from the train station. We traveled to Naples by train and picked a hotel not too close and not too far from the station. This hotel is far enough away that you don't have all the station traffic, both vehicular and pedestrian; and although it was quite far enough to walk dragging a suitcase through the streets, it is not far enough to get you in to a nice neighborhood. Walking back to the hotel at night did not feel safe, although we were never accosted. There is a small bar with some couches nearby on the ground floor behind the reception area. We were visiting during the 'off season' and this area was not 'manned' but we asked at reception and they came out to make us a drink. There are two elevators on the property and a private 'car service' works with the hotel offering service to Pompeii or other locations for a fee (not billed through the hotel). If there were only two of us in the room it would have been a bit more comfortable. The bedding and curtains were nice, there were shutters on the windows to close out the sun or to provide privacy and still have some airflow. The floor was linoleum. The bathroom walls were tiled with a pretty tile. There was a closet that we did use in order to provide more space in the room, a small fridge, TV and a safe. Also, our small suitcases fit under the bed.

We arrived early and we knew our room would not be ready; we had already planned to explore the area while waiting for our room. They were attentive with holding our luggage and Roberta gave us a map and explained in great detail many options to explore in the area. Close to shops, restaurants, museums, and much to explore. Napoli is very characteristic. Narrow roads, historic buildings, many scooters coming out of nowhere... It was a great adventure for us. Hotel is well maintained throughout. Rooms were great. Breakfast in a beautiful courtyard. Room service was fast and efficient. Bar was attentive with a very nice lounge. Ambiance inside the hotel was pleasant throughout. I would love to visit again.

You can almost see horse-drawn carriages pulling up. The hotel has preserved the royal feel of the architecture while giving the inside a completely modern style. There is free internet on a computer on the main floor in a study across the corridor from the lobby, and the main courtyard is next to an indoor modern lounge with a bar for when it's just too hot to sit outside. The rooms are nice, and I really enjoyed just lounging around all the pretty areas near the courtyard, or looking out my window before bed at the courtyard view. The morning breakfast was good and served in the beautiful inner courtyard. As always in Italy, coffee is delicious and the baked goods were a sinful way to wake up. The reception staff was very helpful and polite and so so nice anytime I asked them for anything. They gave me a good map and advice for the best way to get to the best pizza in town:) Location wise, it's about a 12-15 minute walk from the Termini, and with very heavy baggage and tiny, bustling streets full of people and traffic, it can be a little taxing to walk up there in the blistering heat. You could take a taxi if you wanted, but if you have time and a map of the tiny streets, it's not far at all. It's also an easy 10 min walk to some of Napoli's famous pizzerias, including the one from Eat, Pray, Love, called Da Michele. Beware, it is a crazy walk through tiny streets filled with people intent on walking very slowly while they talk very loudly, and scooters coming out of nowhere from round the corner, or buckets being lowered from high windows to people ambling by. Haha but that's Napoli and if you brave it you, you will get to eat delicious pizza (or go wherever it is you're going). While I stayed, they did host a wedding in the courtyard, and because of the wedding there were some disgruntled guests who couldn't get a drink at the bar because there was no barman for for than half an hour. An enterprising American tourist went and got her own just as the barman got back haha and told him not to bother himself in a very efficient way as old ladies do.

However, we were given complimentary access to the spa for two hours, for which we made an advanced reservation. Upon entering the spa, we were greeted and given a quick tour of the facilities. They had various water baths maintained at different temperatures, sauna and steam rooms, and a Turkish bath--we tried it all. They also had a relaxation lounge with complimentary water and tea. Since we were celebrating our honeymoon, we were upgraded to a room with a beautiful view of the water. We were very impressed with how clean the room was. On the occasion of our anniversary, the hotel also provided complimentary champagne. Everything about the room was perfect. We highly appreciated that the hotel staff went the extra mile to make us feel special. We also really liked the location of this hotel as it was close to all the happening areas. The next day, we had a complimentary breakfast at the hotel. They had a wide range of food options with a buffet service coupled with à la carte breakfast dishes. They offered different types of cheese, breads, and more. I got the avocado toast, and my husband got an omelette. The food was delicious and fresh, and we also tried a couple of Italian snacks, which were delightful. All in all, we had a great time. If you are looking for a nice hotel in Naples, I highly recommend checking out Romeo Hotel.

The bell staff will take your bags up the steps. I was issued a room on the seventh floor and was disappointed when I walked in the the A/C was off. You have to insert your key card in a slot to turn on the lights an A/C. This hotel location is walkable to many sights. The Galleria Umberto (Indoor shopping mall) and Piazza Plebiscito are within walking distance and there are many shops and eateries along the way. Hopefully you like warmed up pizza slices or cannoli's. The hotel has breakfast on their top floor with a great view to the gulf of Naples, Castel Nuovo and Mount Vesuvius. The breakfast buffet is OK and is only 20 euros. It has a waffle maker and a pancake machine. The hotel also has a bar in the front lobby and a restaurant, Obreak, that serves lunch and dinner. The front desk staff were helpful in answering questions and providing directions. The bell staff and car park attendants were also helpful. I was happy with the A/C after it was able to run for a while. Good location, good experience. Four stars!

I expected the hotel to just take away the 59,000 points I used to book this stay. Instead the hotel went ahead refunded the points and charged be almost $400 cash value for the room and refused to take the Marriott Bonvoy points. A scam. If you are a Marriott member and hold a Marriott credit card I would beware booking with this hotel. After attempting to resolve this matter with the hotel (Sabrina) via email she continued to refuse to take the points. They stated this is their policy to take cash value. Not your typical Marriott hotel. Awful customer service.

What could be a 4-star experience is sadly two. The hotel…read moreis located in a business district which is in the midst of rejuvenation. As such there are a lot of derelict buildings and businesses nearby. Nothing the hotel can do about, but does make it seem off-putting and sketchy when you first show up. It is conveniently located close to the Centro Direzionale Metro stop, which makes getting around easy. And a 20 minute walk to the front of the Centrale train station. There is a bar and restaurant on site, serving a good buffet breakfast and a wide selection of meals in the evening. Staff are very friendly, speak multiple languages and the food is good value for money. I was particularly impressed with the pizzas. Where the hotel experience falls down though is the rooms. They are in the process on renovating, but it is apparent that little forethought was given to the practicality of the renovated room. We had booked a suite that had a king size bed for my wife and I and what was supposed to be an additional room with a sofa bed for our daughter. The old rooms had this, but the new layout is open. Good for light, not good for privacy. Instead the beds are separated by some vertical metal bars with a TV hung and a small wooden shelf. There is also a TV in the area where the sofa bed is. This becomes problematic if someone wants to watch TV. When you use the remote on one TV, it affects the other, unless you stand within an inch of the TV receiver. Turning on one TV also turns on the other. Changing, volume, channels etc also does the same. Then there's the bathroom. Before there was separate room with a shower/tub, toilet and bidet, with a sink open to the room. Now the shower has been moved to the open area, and two sinks are on the vanity. So anybody using the shower does not have any privacy to those lying in the bed. Something our teenage daughter did not appreciate, and had to schedule when she could shower whilst we would have to wait outside the room. The two sinks are impractical as they leave very, very little room for any personal items, such as toothbrush, deodorant, make up kit etc. Again, looks nice, but is not practical for a guest to use.

Ok, no worries I needed to grab some items since I was going to be staying there for over a week, came back at approximately 315pm and the room still wasn't available then told to come back around 4 pm. Mind you I had been flying for 19 hours so I am jet lagged and feeling a bit sticky from all that flying. Finally, the room was ready around 5 pm the front desk staff was nice and the valet gentlemen were cool, when you park you have to be specific if you are going to lock in for the evening or if you are going to come back out within the hour because if you aren't they will put your vehicle in a garage up the street. The bar and food inside the hotel are decent and the bartenders have heavy hands no problem here with that, there is also a restaurant right outside of the pretty good hotel. Once I finally got to the room my a/c didn't work and it took them three days to fix it, however, the bed was comfortable, and the housekeeping staff was friendly, if you don't speak Italian google translate is your friend.
