LIVE music on the patio Date night at Hotel Carmicheal
    Angel S.

I have not had an overnight stay. But it is close by my house so me and my better half likes to go for their live music indoors and on their patio. The views are awesome lots of people watching and fresh plants. Parking is easy on the street or valet. The price point is a higher scale but, you are getting a higher scale experience and the views to go with it.

We got married at Hotel Carmichael a few weeks ago and highly recommend them as a wedding venue! Very grateful we chose Hotel Carmichael as our wedding venue. From start to finish, the team made planning seamless and stress-free, allowing us to truly enjoy the process and focus on the excitement of our big day. We coincidentally were the last couple in December 2023 to sign a contract where the venue offered a wedding coordinator with the wedding package. Hotel Carmichael takes care of everything from decor, linens, catering, wedding cake, bar and so much more. Highly recommend Hotel Carmichael as your venue if on the search. We had Mallory Davis as our Wedding Coordinator and she was so amazing and patient with all of our questions and any last minute changes. She also was very patient with our opinionated parents which we were very grateful for and thanked her for. On wedding day I didn't noticed a single thing that was done incorrectly like people tend to say. We also donated all of our wedding flowers to my grandma memory care after the wedding and hotel Carmichael team was kind enough to store them all in an office the night after the wedding for my family to pick up the next day!

We loved the bar downstairs. It was very cozy and intimate. Live piano music. Hotel was nice, we like the ambiance and the proximity to the attractions. I would stay there again!

My sister and I wanted to go over for a quick birthday weekend and I'm go glad i found Hotel Carmichael. From the moment we pulled up it felt like luxury. The location is perfect!!! When you walk in the smell is intoxicating, they have their signature scent. Note: stop by the desk and purchase a candle or room spray. I love them both! This hotel is immaculate with old world charm. The staff are friendly and the building is clean and just perfect. We couldn't stop smiling. There was a pianist when we arrived and people enjoying the beautiful music. From their foyer you could see all the different singers and performances they have scheduled. It looked like there was something for everyone. Our room was clean and so put together. They definitely think about the details! The shower was the best!!!!!! Definitely a great deal as far as money goes. If you join Bonvoy rewards you can save some extra $$ as well. We had dinner at their restaurant, Vivante, which we did make reservations for. It was nice to check in and literally not have to leave. It is conveniently located in the Carmel City Center. You can walk to the fabulous shops and grab brunch at The Cake Bake Shop which is another review soon to come. To round it up, the Hotel Carmichael is a gem. I loved every second. I hope y'all enjoy your stay as much as we did.

We stay at Hotel Michael when visit Carmel, IN. When the valet opens the front door the pleasant fragrance welcomes you in ( you can purchase the candle) along with very friendly front desk employees. The decoration and architecture design of the hotel is gorgeous. Rooms are decorated beautifully. Comfy bed, good water pressure from two shower heads, ample closet space with hangers. Vivante restaurant offers inside and outside sittings. Doc friendly property. Highly recommend it.

I came here for a martini. The first ever Yelp Christkindlmarkt crawl. This is my first stop (over a few days that is). And - OMG is this thing I am drinking - The Peppermint Hot Chocolate Martini super good! I came here and also checked out a bit of the hotel and restaurant. The lobby is very nice, clean, with a welcoming atmosphere. The staff at the restaurant and bar treated everyone who came in with great respect. I chatted with the bartender- she's super fun to talk to and took great care of her customers. I'm coming back here with my wife. We're going to have great fun when we do :)

I'll state the obvious, this is a visually beautiful, full service hotel! Everything from the floors, walls and fixtures in the common areas look newly polished with no detail missed! Loving the simplicity of the black and white floors and beautiful detail of ceiling ,pillars and framed artwork. The room is just as beautiful especially love the sparkly chandelier above the bed. The room with a king bed is cozy, every part of the room is in use, either with a desk, coffee station, mini bar or seating. The bathroom is surprisingly spacious with a tiled walk in shower. Tip- finding parking was difficult, may be a result of lots of areas closed off for construction activities surround the hotel. It was not obvious where to find the front hotel entrance, which is located above the parking garage for surrounding businesses. After driving around for a bit we happen to find it. Directional signage from Main Street would be a nice touch. Overall enjoying the stay so far, I plan to enjoy the piano bar this evening for their nightly, complimentary champagne toast! (I'll be here for a few days, so I'll post more photos as I discover the property. )

Such a beautiful hotel and wedding venue! My son and daughter-in-law just held their wedding here last weekend! The whole event seemed magical! The hotel staff were super helpful and made all of our guests and family feel very welcome. The reception meal was just perfect and the pastry chef's wedding cake was exquisite! Thank you again for going above and beyond on their special day.

Was at the hotel to attend a company Christmas party. I don't get to Carmel often but am glad I came out and got to experience the hotel and their featured entertainment dueling piano show. We started off the evening with appetizers and drinks then once everyone had arrived, we went down to watch the piano show. Piano show was fun and entertaining. After the show, we went back up for dinner and o really the food was a hit. If you're looking for an upscale place to have an event or even just dinner, this is a great choice. It's also conveniently located near the Christkindl market. There is a parking garage (Veterans garage) around the corner and a short walk from the hotel. Parking garage was packed because of the Christmas market but was still able to find parking easily.

I can't say speak enough about how wonderful my experience was at this establishment. My first encounter was with someone from housekeeping assisting me with directions to the correct floor to check in and she was very pleasant. The young woman at the counter was very courteous and informative regarding nearby dining options and entertainment. There was a live musician at the lobby bar area coupled with the beautiful holiday decor, I felt as if I were in a Hallmark movie lol. It was my birthday eve so the reservations were made with that information and upon entering my room i was greeted with a beautiful treat. I could go on and on but everything was perfect. The decor gave antique but modern vibes. Everything was in pristine condition. There is a nice mini bar with a few snacks and beverages in the room that you can purchase. The room service is from the restaurant and there is a delivery fee for that but you can also choose to pick it up. It was my birthday so I chose delivery and it came a lot faster than the estimated delivery time(dinner and breakfast) The accommodations, food, service...everything 10/10 highly recommend and I will definitely be back.

It's relatively…read moreclose to Carmel's Arts & Design District and has a handful of restaurants within walking/wheeling distance. I visited the hotel while participating in an event. It's a four-level hotel. It offers connecting rooms, free parking, free WiFi, digital key, an on-site restaurant (I know the breakfast buffet is now $14), an indoor saltwater pool, fitness center, business center, and is in the middle of a residential area with a mix of apartment communities and businesses surrounding it. There's also a patio with a fire pit. I checked in around 4pm - after the allowed 3pm. When I'm on this event, I sometimes get in early, however, I was pretty busy in Carmel. I reserved and received an accessible room, at least by their own definitions. It's accessibility is definitely a bit weak by ADA standards. I am a wheelchair user who was in room 328 and there was definitely barely enough room between the bed and the large dresser. I literally rubbed. If you're in a larger wheelchair or motorized chair, you definitely don't want this room. That said, bed height was good. This was a room with a bathtub that has grab bars - not ideal but workable (and does meet ADA). I had identified being a wheelchair user in my reservation - so I'm a bit disappointed to be placed in as room where it was difficult (but not impossible) to navigate. If it had been impossible, I'd have requested a change. The free WiFi works well. You can upgrade to a premium experience for $4.95 a day. There were handles on the curtain that make it easy for a wheelchair user to open and close them- nice touch. The doorway is relatively light. Elevators are roomy enough for a wheelchair and multiple guests. The lobby is nice and dining area comfortable. I had dinner at a surrounding restaurant, however, I did stay in the hotel for breakfast and was pleased. The main employee I dealt with was friendly and helpful. I had asked for a copy of the city newspaper, however, they didn't have one (they do offer a free USA Today). Overall, this was a positive experience. While the accessibility for a wheelchair user in my room was somewhat disappointing, it was for the most part workable and other accessibility issues were as expected. I would likely return here, however, I might explore a different room to see if I could get a little more comfortable with navigation. The hotel seems to be a bit older and could use a bit of a touch-up, however, it was clean, comfortable, and this was a good stay.

The suites were very clean, large and well appointed with full sized fridge, toaster oven, microwave and kitchen. Popcorn and dish soap on hand for you, too. Housekeeping comes quickly (tip them, of course) and does a good job. Plenty of storage, a laundry hamper, ironing board, etc., two TVs, decent lighting and seating throughout. It was quiet and the bed was comfortable. The shower was adequate, the toiletries were fine and the vanity lighting was sufficient; air flow was such that the shower did not steam up the mirror and a fan turned on along with the light in the bath/WC area. There was a lovely patio out back with lots of comfy seating. The breakfast was pretty terrific in a comfy area (ice and drinks available 24/7) and all the staffers we encountered were helpful and friendly. The hallways and elevators were a little shabby, but other common areas were great. I looked but did not find a safe for valuables. After our first night, we returned from breakfast to find our rooms were being serviced by housekeeping; unlike the situation in other hotels, the housekeeper did not confirm our identity or block us from simply walking into the room. We discovered another person - a 9-year-old child - quietly relaxing on the sofa while she worked. It turned out to be no problem in our situation, but the lack of a safe and these security issues would give me real concern had we kept valuables, confidential materials or anything dangerous in our room. As it was, I kept the "no housekeeping" magnet on the doorframe after our second night. With that exception, it was pretty perfect for what we wanted. Not upscale in any way, but with everything you needed.

Room darkening shades on the four windows were perfect. At night, it was perfect for sleeping. Speaking of sleeping, the bed was comfortable, the comforter was luxurious and the pillows were soft as clouds. Four pillows on the bed and two in the closet. I was able to sleep with three pillows just like home. The rain shower head enveloped me in warmth with plenty of water pressure. Shampoo, conditioner and body wash all at the ready. The towels were fantastic! Too often bath towels are scratchy, period. The towels in our room were thick, soft and absorbent. It was a joy to dry off after the shower. The shower had an opaque glass wall that faced the room. Anyone in the room couldn't see more than a shadow, but here is another example of taking care of every detail. There was a roll-down shade (like a window shade) that covered the wall. The benefit was keeping the light out of the bedroom in case your partner is still in bed. Without it, the light in the bathroom would wash the entire room in filtered, but still rather bright light. There were just a few small drawbacks. First, there is an abundance of lamp options in the room, which is great. The lights on the nightstands are throw a nice light on the room, but once we got in bed, the light from those same lamps were harsh, like a spotlight. It was crazy, but it's true. The shower door didn't offer a solid barrier between the shower and the bathroom floor. The water escaping the shower was not bad. I have seen much worse, but no water on the bathroom floor would be ideal. The marble counter in the bathroom had some yellowish stains on it. Again, not horrible, but for such a fine hotel it was unexpected. We ate at Rize twice and Blue Sushi Sake Grill. Rize was very good. Blue was outstanding. I will review them separately. I checked out three days early and was told I would still be charged. I have stayed at many Marriott properties and have never experienced being charged for unused nights after an early departure, especially when the hotel appeared to be fully occupied. My biggest concern was the customer service. Ashley, the manager, was extremely difficult to reach. I had to call from a different phone number before anyone would answer, which was frustrating and unprofessional. When I finally spoke with her, she was rude, dismissive, and condescending throughout the conversation. The hotel kept more than $700 in charges for nights I did not stay. While I understand that policies exist, I expected a reasonable conversation and some effort to address the situation fairly. I contacted Marriott Corporate and was told there was a note claiming that I had been rude to the staff. I found that surprising because I never raised my voice, used inappropriate language, or acted disrespectfully. I even encouraged them to review any available video footage and recorded phone calls. I simply wanted the matter handled fairly. It's disappointing to see multiple reviews mentioning similar concerns about management and staff attitudes. This experience reflects poorly on the Marriott brand. I travel frequently and know many families and teams who visit Indiana each year for sports events. I like that they have something different each day at breakfast and the coffee was flowing non stop, as it should be! My only complaint about the breakfast scene was the acoustics in the lobby and breakfast area were not good. Theres paneling on the floors so the echo is loud and you have every single footstep, roller suitcase, etc. The attendant had the tv on really loud every day so it was a little hard to think over that.
