I had to replace my 36$ order again.. paying around a total of 72$ to just get this mediocre pizza. Was told I would get refunded in 48 hours.. am making this review 72 Hours later with no refund... First timer here! I ordered a make-your-own pizza in the very early hours, around 0100, through DoorDash. It's got ham & green peppers with traditional crust, they even sent along a couple tootsie rolls! How did they know how much I love tootsie rolls?! Anyway...the crust is firm & crunchy but the little diced green peppers needed rearranging after delivery. LOL It all eats the same though & it all tasted amazing! The cashier/pizza maker was too cool to care much. He didn't know about how the parking fee worked. If I wouldn't have found a QR code on the wall with microprinting that said it was the validation code, I would have paid an extra $15 for parking. As for the pizza? It was edible, but I've had better. Much better. I don't see how this place got 5-star reviews, but maybe that's just me. Plus, if your color scheme is black on black, how clean can it really be? I will not be returning to this establishment who promised an estimate delivery time then decide to change the arrangement without any notification. Absolutely horrible delivery service. It has taken 3 phone calls and finally cancelling the order for the delivery to show up an hour and 24 minutes late. There was no customer service to try and correct the issue. I would be more understanding if the customer service would attempt to rectify the issue, but there was no attempt. Pizza Express comes to Muncie... Sort of. Well this is the same pizza as can be had as Pizza Express (now Pizza X) in Bloomington--familiar to generations of IU students. While there is no Big 10 special (in fact, the equivalent deal is $16.99 rather than $10.99 for medium pizza, bread sticks, and 2 cokes), they have most of the same pizzas. Some of specialty pizzas are pretty good. I'm a fan of the garlicky Eve's garden (a vegetarian pie), and the dixie chicken. But let's face it the real star of the show here is there cheese sticks. The reason for this is that the use some sort of fontina/asiago cheese (it reminds me a bit of kaseri). It is sharp and very wonderful and great with their ranch sauce. It is ever better if you put your own oregano on it. Trust me on this one. (and better still if with a glass of retsina!) read more

Update down below! Worst experience I have ever had with any restaurant. First was charged for more then what I ordered and then I was told I didn't have enough money funny enough I did have more then what you over charged me for. Now my bank account is all off and this is the first and last experience I will have with this garbage company. How can you tell a company is garbage well when they ask you to download thier app and it's shotty at best, and it just takes you to a website instead of being a actual application for your phone. The customer service when I called was unacceptable as well. No I am not re ordering after you over charged me and canceled my order after the delivery person told me I just needed to add the change and he would bring it back. My friend ordered things as well and never received his drink seems accurate sense my boss ordered the other day and they also forgot the drink then as well. This company has no idea how to run it's self and needs to get out of the dark ages. I was super excited to try Hotbox Pizza because of all the vegan options then this one and first experience tells me all I need to know. I will not stop till my 81 dollars is refunded for my 60 dollar order. I have never been over charged for something I ordered before this is ridiculous that this even happens to customers you should be worried if they are ripping everyone off with thier garbage customer service and card readers. *Update* So I have waited a week and even talked to my bank the 81 dollars Hot Box stole from me is still pending I have contacted them again to see if this gets resolved. Ordered at 7, said it would be delivered at 7:30... 8 rolls around so I call to confirm my order, I understand mistakes happen and technology can mess up. I get an email saying it's been assigned a driver and my food is on its way and will be delivered at 8:09(ok mistakes happen it gets busy)... Nothing... get another email saying assigned a NEW driver and it's on its way and will be delivered at 8:21 (starting to get ridiculous).... finally arrives at 8:25... I tried to make a simple order tonight of some cheese sticks just to try the place out. I was told that it would take 45 minutes to make my bread sticks, which a ridiculously long time especially because I asked for it to be delivered to a place only a couple blocks away. Forty five minutes goes by and my order has not showed up, and I didn't even get a phone call. I decided to wait for a little while, and my food never even showed up. I completed an online order at 1235. It was supposed to be delivered by 1:10. At 1:20 I called as I didn't have a pizza. I was told that it didn't go through. I then went to the store. At 1:30 I was told that it was just sent out and that I didn't call the right hotbox as the man I talked to was the only on there. That was simply false. I talked to a woman. As not to make a scene, I turned to leave. At 1:40. My pizza arrived, after I had gotten home. The pizza didn't have as many toppings as usual and was cold. My drinks were no where near full. I wasn't provided napkins or straws the cups were not marked. I also didn't get any tootsie rolls. Generally, Hotbox is my go to. I love it. The thin crust pizza is quite good but I really LOVE the salads with the best ever Ranch dressing. They also have GF pizza which is quite tasty and convenient as we have a family member who must eat GF. We have made this our "go to spot" for pizza when we are in this location. read more
