Ok I used to live in Muncie for 14 years growing up so I use to go to this same place back in the 80's and was back in town and wanted to get some pizza king pizza so me and my family stopped in on a Saturday. The service was good friendly and efficient. We ordered a large royal feast, which if you want the best pizza they offer this is a good choice. Otherwise they will offer all the regular options of toppings. In particular they have excellent sausage. This is the real crumbled sausage they use and they chop all the toppings into diced squares ie pepperoni isn't going to be on top in the slices, it will be in a diced topping. This in my opinion helps provide a uniformity of coverage and taste you don't get by other methods. Next the crust, this location has great pizza king crust. The crust is light thin but still airy not doughy, the ovens use a conveyor belt so each pizza gets the right amount of time and comes out as good as the next one. The sauce is great as well but if you like a lot ask for extra as the coating they normally provide might not be enough for you liking. We also got a medium cheese pizza and two orders of bread sticks for dinner. The pizza may take a bit longer to come out but that may be due to the carryout / delivery pizzas being made in the oven. They are usually as quick as they can be in making these but the disadvantage of the convey cooker is there is a finite amount of pizzas it can make in a set amount of time. Amazingly the interior while well kept is almost the same as I remember when I was here back in the 80's. They have the same lights over the tables. It is still in pretty good shape. They don't have the Pac-Man machine here anymore though. Expect to pay a bit more than other places as Pizza King is going to be a bit more expensive than other places but the taste is worth it. read more

Always enjoy doing take out because it's so much easier. We went out to eat at the restaurant and service wasn't as good. Parking is pretty big so you can park anywhere you want. It won't get busy. The ambiance is like a mom and pop place. Very old fashion and outdated. The food was good. We got the bbq pizza with all the meat. I love the square pieces. So much easier to eat. They definitely give you a lot of meat on your pizza. The spaghetti is okay. Not very well seasoned. read more

Some of the food was good, but the pizza in particular was some of the worst we'd ever had. I never in my life thought I'd need to add salt to a pizza, but there's a first time for everything. Our server also seemed weirdly hostile and annoyed that we were there at all, when we didn't do anything and weren't there like 5 minutes before closing or anything. This was our first experience with this branch of Pizza King (we grew up with the western Indiana one), and it guaranteed we'll not patronize another one. read more

Can't make a trip to Muncie and not "Ring the King"! Love the Royal Feast but get the Cheese sauce for the breadsticks it's so good to dip the pizza in too. I also recommend the frozen take n' bake pizzas if you're just passing through. My tip though is make sure it's totally thawed before you bake it or the crust ends up really hard. Had to stop before we headed home to Indy bc you can't get the same pizza there unfortunately. We are inside with our 2 small children and the entire time were the only ones dining.. on a Saturday night! They were busy you could tell with the walk ins to pick up and the phone ringing nonstop however Bonnie still provided stellar service! Everything was piping hot, accurate, and timely. The campus Pizza King (as opposed to the Muncie townie Pizza King on Tillotson and the Halteman Pizza King on Wheeling). This is a smaller restaurant than most of the others. Shockingly, it doesn't have any video games either. However, the waitresses are efficient and the food is served quickly. The ambience is a bit lacking, but this is often the least busy Pizza King on Friday or Saturday nights. The pizza is the same as all others. The women in my family like bbq with pepperoni, but I prefer a Royal Feast w/ extra cheese. This is "hillbilly pizza" cut into squares and with toppings that are ground up finely. The pizza, as always, is delicious. The delivery was prompt. The breadsticks, all 4 orders, were burnt to the point that they were HOLLOW inside. It's partially my fault. For a truly local pizza experience, you must try Pizza King. Their recipe is unique - it's not like New York-style thin crust, it's very different from Chicago deep dish, yet it's delicious in its own way. I always have to get Pizza King when I'm visiting home! Beyond their pizza (Royal Feast is exceptional) I'm also a HUGE fan of their chef salad. I don't think any other salad I've ever eaten in my life compares - maybe because this was the first salad I ever ate as a child. No fancy kale, edamame, pomegranate seeds, etc. in this baby, just a good, simple, classic chef. Try it with the lemon poppyseed dressing. Mmmmm mmmmm! And the breadsticks...oh boy! I love this place! The majority of pizza that I would have while at Ball State would come from this location and they would always have great deals on their food. The food scene in in Muncie is pretty dire. After spending some time in town eating one disappointing meal after another we hit up Pizza King as a desperation move, and it was the best move we could have made. I highly recommend this place, and while it doesn't have the healthiest menu in town, you will not be disappointed! read more

I wish there was a way to post pictures and videos, but I ordered two beef boat subs and was looking forward to trying it for the first time, once it got delivered and immediately dug Into it and noticed this metallic green and orange chemical like film on the meat. Last 2 times we ordered take out they said 30 minutes. We go to pick up they said both times we will start your pizza now. The manager said tonight oh we're short handed and too busy. My favorite pizza king in town - the staff is awesome and always suggests helpful things. I take my 2 little kids in and they are great - chatty and sensitive to needs like extra napkins, cups with lids, and crayons before I even ask. This location is not as busy as some of the others, but the pizza comes out quick and hot. Pizza King sausage pizza is fantastic. They'll cook your breadsticks however you like, too. read more

On June 5, 2016, at approximately 6:00 p.m., I phoned in an order for spaghetti with paste, I'm unable to eat meat sauce, to the Bethel Ave Pizza King as I live closer to this store. Normally I order my Pizza King orders from the Tillotson Store, however since I live closer to the Bethel store I decided to go there. Huge mistake on my part. I picked up my order and went home. Upon arriving home I quickly learned spaghetti was on the hard side thus it was either old or under cooked. I explained when I placed my order I needed extra sauce as I could not consume dry spaghetti, I barely had enough sauce to mix with the spaghetti. All I could do was toss the entire order as I was not able to consume the meal. To dry and under cooked or old microwaved pasta. I won't make that mistake again. read more
