yes, I'm writing a review of Hot Topic. I figured I should when I realized how much money I've actually spent here. Stretching your ears gets freakin' expensive. especially if you like variety in your jewelry, because once you move up a size, you can't wear the stuff in the lower size. so Hot Topic and Spencer's have become my go-to places for pretty cheap body jewelry. The sight of most of the other stuff in there makes me pretty ill, but I suck it up because I like to save my dollars. Almost every single time I go in there they're having some sort of buy one, get one half off, or buy one, get one for $1 sale on jewelry, which always makes me happy. It does not make me happy that the employees are always trying to upsell, but there's a corporation for you. I am going up to the counter with my body jewelry, and the girl tells me they have music tees or rock tees or whatever they like to call them on sale 2 for $28. first of all, that's not really a sale, but it is to y'all because your shit is expensive. and secondly, I just stocked up on my ICP and Bring Me The Horizon tshirts, so I'm good. they have a rewards card now. they gave me a $5 off coupon on my birthday, which I was actually really happy about because I didn't know about it until I got up to the counter. this location is pretty small, which I don't really care about except that it sort of limits the amount of jewelry they carry. I mostly just like finding the really plain stuff marked wayyyy down. I got a pair of stainless steel teardrop tunnels, pair of blue plastic double flares, and a pair of red single flares for $3 apiece. can't really beat that. I'm saving my dollars for when I get to my goal size and I can go nuts. read more
