We were greeted with a store in complete disarray. There were clothes strewn all over the floor. The racks were filled with empty hangers. Piles of garments were everywhere as the staff worked mostly at the checkout line. Beyond the mess, obnoxious music played at high volume. Before you accuse me of being an old man, it wasn't the volume that offended me It was some kind of pop-Christmas electronic mix that played on loop. Want to hear a dubstep Mariah Carey singing carols? Hop inside Express! Beyond the state of Express, the clothes sucked. The men's area featured a bizarre suit jacket that looked like it was shellacked in heavy black lacquer. There were piles of sweaters on a table that people bumbled through and left in shambles. I won't even go into the women's area... I've seen rats' nests that are in better shape. Why doesn't this dump get more than one star? They handled the return quickly and the long line kept moving. I wouldn't come here by choice, either for the store of the fashion. However, the employees were doing their best and it seemed like they were understaffed. Management is probably to blame for most of the clutter, not the individual workers. They were friendly and doing their best.

She went above and beyond and I appreciate it. She was so kind, not accepting a token of appreciation from me for her kindness I will definitely be returning to this establishment. Quite unexpectedly, this is a great spot for me. Initially, I was skeptical of purchasing clothes…read morein close proximity to my local grocery store. But after seeing my co-worker consistently come to work in cute outfits from Cato, I was curious. This is a discount fashion store, and there are many clothing items I don't like, but there are a ton that I do. There's lots of color in this store - so if you like bright colors, you are sure to find something here. I do find that I have to look closely for gems for me, but when I find them, it's a win. I have one shirt from here that probably cost me $15 - almost every time I wear it, it gets compliments. I have some great "gold" earrings that have almost an Indian-style flair that I bought for about $6. These earrings constantly get me compliments. Many of the items here are "on trend" and all of them are inexpensive. For example, when all of the expensive stores were selling items with animal print, so was Cato. I'm now seeing a lot of peplum in department stores - they've got peplum at Cato too. They also have cute gifts (watches, notebooks, cups, pens, etc.) and shoes. My one complaint - they don't carry a lot of petites and small shoe sizes (size 6). They definitely have them, but I have to get there right after their weekly delivery, because apparently there is a small lady who comes in and grabs the great petite items each week. Oh - they also have little girls clothes. This is nice if you are like me in that you can wear some kids items (cute, cheap tops) and of course, also nice when you have a little girl to buy for. Lastly, it's easy to shop here! And the ladies that work here are super nice. There is ample parking - and when you are done, you can head over to the grocery store to do your grocery shopping.

There was an in store promotion we wanted to take advantage of which the sales associate refused. I requested to speak with a manager who refused also. I asked for the "manager's" name for reference when I addressed this experience with the district manager or a member in leadership at the corporate level. She refused to provide her name. At that point, I started to record for reference from behind the counter for when I reported this matter. She then covered her face with a bag. This was the most ridiculous, unprofessional thing I've ever experienced. I did let her know, she's settling a bad example for her subordinates as a member of leadership. She advised an associate to call security because I was harassing her. I indicated to them, I was waiting on them to return the items I came in with before I departed. I called the customer service number after I left and spoke with Tabitha. She stated I absolutely was entitled to the promotional offer, the worker should have provided her name upon request, and my entire experience did not align with the service standards set by Victoria Secret. I will follow up with the someone at the corporate office on the next business day.

Fun, low pressure, it wasn't busy. I didn't find my dress but it was a good experience overall. My second appointment was terrible. I knew more about stock, pricing, brands and styles than my stylist. She wasn't particularly interested in being helpful and actually wandered off for a while during our 1 hr appointment (both rude & unprofessional) leaving my girlfriend to help me in and out of dresses (and even clipping me in) The third time I didn't have an appointment and was there sort of on a whim (was shopping at Anthro and had some extra time on my hands-decided to do some bridesmaids research) I went in and started looking around. There wasn't an appointment in progress and wasn't one for a few hours so they helped me out and it was a fantastic experience. I tried on almost everything I wanted to. But that's was luck. Otherwise I would say this location is pretty small and a bit loud due to its proximity to the Anthro store and their fitting rooms (it is inside of the store and located sort of in front of the fitting rooms). You will be changing the the Anthro fitting rooms, there's not a separate area for brides. It also seems smaller than other locations (I've been to one other in NYC a few years prior to my engagement season) so they have less stock on hand to see in person than what other locations may have. I think your experience can vary so much here based on who your stylist is and how busy Anthro is which.
