She had her very first formal gown altered by Pat at just five years old--and Pat continued to tailor her dresses all the way through her final prom. Fast forward to 2025, my sweet niece was getting married, and this time it was Auntie who needed a gown altered! I knew the day had come for Pat to retire...and I was beyond thrilled when I learned Amy had taken over the business. This review is for Alterations by Amy! Amy is the best - she learned from the best & I am so happy to spend the next 25+ years as her client...when my niece has children...we will bring them to Amy! Amy! Amy! Amy!!! What can't you do!?!?! She totally transformed my very formal evening gown into the most stunning one-shoulder gown, perfect for my niece's outdoor summer wedding. She removed the long train, converted the buttoned halter neckline into an elegant one-shoulder design, and even added cups for shape and support - no separate bra needed! (Ladies!!! IYKYK!) The fit and finish were flawless, and the transformation was beyond my expectations. What amazed me most was that Amy made all these alterations the day before I was scheduled to leave for the wedding. She worked quickly and professionally, completing everything while I waited--and she even hemmed my husband's linen pants at the very last minute! The pricing was so reasonable, especially considering the level of craftsmanship, speed, and care she put into every detail. If you ever need alterations...big or small...Amy is the one to trust. I spoke with Pat about my ideas for alterations and she was very helpful with her recommendations. I then spent some time looking at their consigned items. I was really impressed with the variety in styles and sizes they had for wedding dresses. With the help of Amy and Brittany, I ended finding quite literally my dream dress. Though I did not end up getting any alterations here, I am certain that Pat would have done a fabulous job!! 10/10 would recommend going here. After waiting for at least 30 minutes we were finally told Oh someone will be right with you. Remind you the QR code said I was the next in line for service.While waiting we noticed other customers coming into the store and clearly being serviced while we were still waiting..Meanwhile another customer and her son came over and asked how long have you guys been waiting I said going on 40 minutes now and the QR code still was saying I was the next in line. It never changed the entire time. Finally after hearing me tell the other customer that I had be waiting for at least 40 minutes the Cashier said oh let me see if I can find someone to assist you. After waiting nearly an hour one of the salesmen finally took our order. This is the worse customer I have experienced ever! What is the purpose of the QR code if no one recognizes you or if it doesn't move.Also, I watched several people come into the store and be helped while we stood there patiently waiting for someone to help assist us to no avail. Some advice to management step up your customer service skills and be mindful of all customers that enter the store. Lastly hire more help if need be because obviously you need it!

*review is based on reply to AI find-a-business conversation only*…read more TL;DR: weren't able to do a simple alteration (due to a quality that i noted in the AI chat message sent over to them) that another business had no problem with, BUT they were quick to reply and told me no without having me come in im not sure how simple of alterations they do, but it seems to be simpler than the surrounding businesses' usual. i was requesting a simple side take-in of a polyester dress with mesh overlay (notated in the AI message sent out), but they were unable to do it. for background, i am an intermediate-level DIY seamstress, with a grandmother who runs a sewing/alterations store (a state away which is why i reached out to businesses here). this is a pretty simple alteration, so i was surprised when they said they could not do it. i drove to the closest alterations place that was open, and they had no problem with the dress fabric regarding the take in (i showed the dress before i bothered trying it on to make sure) i am attaching the details yelp provided to the business as well as the conversation. the only additional thing i added to the AI was the part of the side seams with zipper in the back, maybe altering cups (after i responded to them saying that, for the other businesses to see that information) im not sure if this is a review more so on the business or AI feature. i will say- they were quick to reply and did tell me no, rather than having me come in and telling me no or potentially messing up the dress.
