Just WOW! I googled this place to find something for an upcoming event, and they had MORE than enough in mens selection. The sizes were a little limited, but that could have been because it appears everything is pretty unique (and not mass made)...which is nice! We definitely saw a few things to go back for in the future. This place is a gem, and the customer service was top notch. I needed some quick fabric for my vacation trip to Wakanda. I stubbled upon this store and loved it. Pro Customer Service- Everyone was extremely helpful. They were very patient with me. I had no clue of what I really wanted. The employee asked, "What is your vision for your outfit?" I explained it. She delivered. Merchandise- There was plenty to choose from. From head-wraps to full garments, this location has it all. Quality- It has been a month since my trip to Wakanda and I've washed my fabrics plenty of times. They all still look new. I'm thrilled a friend directed me to this store. I went to browse the jewelry. I wanted to see their selection of Fulani earrings. There were numerous sizes in both silver and brass. There is also a good selection of oils, butters, teas, the staple black soaps and many other types. What really blew me away was the wonderful clothing. I had no idea what direction I wanted to go in-- looking regal in African regalia can take on so many forms and they had everything: headwraps, dresses, skirts, ponchos, dashikis, EVERYTHING...And, their price point is definitely reasonable. Deb personally assisted me in a what felt like a personal styling session! She pulled together a collection of about 10 beautiful outfits and by the time I left, I felt like royalty! She was incredibly patient, compassionate and refused to let me give up until I found something that I felt beautiful in. Support Black business! As I was driving in Atlanta, I noticed this "Afro Centric" establishment, and it caught my attention. So, I parked and went in to purchase a few items. Sadly, I was NOT greeted as I walked in, and there were 3 employees standing around. That kind of make me upset, but I still went along with my product search. As I was walking around, I noticed the brother with the beard kept staring... Now, I don't know if he was staring at who I was with, or staring at us in general. It almost felt like I was being singled out as if I was in a white owned store in 1967. What made it worse is that he came behind the register and stood there the whole time staring at us. I'm going to just leave that there and let y'all decide what the issue was. Anyways I saw a lot of natural products that I currently use, available for purchase. Things like, black soap, essential oils, incense and things of that nature. Unfortunately, I didn't buy any of those things, because I didn't want TSA to act funny, so I ended up buying a shirt, a cowrie shell for one of my locs, and a African Kente cloth. The prices were very expensive for the clothing... compared to the African Boutique that I go to in Los Angeles for most of not all of my merchandise. On account of the gentleman behind the register, instead of a perfect 5 Stars, I have to give 4. I'm big on customer service. Acknowledge us when we enter, instead of staring at us out of the corner of your eye the whole time, then not say anything when we come to the register and spend OUR money inside your store. We are all Black here... let's show some love. Probably won't be back. But if I do, I'll surely give them a 2nd chance and rate them accordingly. But for now, it's so-so. read more

Yo, where has this place been all my life? I've been living in Atlanta for just under 5 years, and had been a moderately frequent visitor in the years prior, but I have never ever noticed this shop! I needed to get some cash from the Wachovia next door. Once I had the cash in hand, I was compelled to venture into this establishment, because I'd never bothered to do so before. I'm glad I finally did! As soon as I walked in, I was greeted by a lovely woman who i presume is an owner of the shop. Shortly thereafter, I was greeted again by a gorgeous amazon, who was rocking some funky jewelry. I was delighted when she informed me that it was for sale right in this very shop! I have taken to making my own jewelry lately, due to being fed up with artisans trying to rip me off or just taking too long with pieces, so I was very pleased to see such an array of ( insert your own adjective here) reasonably priced jewelry here. The jewelry is just the tip of the iceberg; there are reams of beautiful fabrics, clothing, body oils, incense, hair and skin care products, several different brands of black soap, as well as BULK black soap and shea butter, artwork, stationery, and typical African sundries here. Being the cheapie I am, I've been buying my black soap and shea butter in really large sizes online, and then I have to give things way so that they don't go bad. Now, I can be assured to get lots of things I like for a reasonable price, and right here in my own neighborhood. Afro Centric Network has definitely gained a fan in me. The only reason I rated this establishment "Moderate" for the price range is because some of the home furnishings/art/drums can get pricey, but please consider the craftsmanship and the import costs. Afro Centric is an enormous boutique that caters to African and African American culture. This store is a one stop shop for African linens, masks, statues, ornaments, artwork, apparel and accessories. Additionally Afro Centric has toiletries like raw shea butter, black soap, incense and oils. It's so hard to find nice non offensive ethnic calendars, greeting cards and stationary. Thankfully Afro Centric has an array of these items that will make perfect gifts for my family members this holiday season. Whenever I go I feel like I'm at street festival in Brooklyn because they have it all. A good friend introduced me to Afrocentric Network store. We both went there to support Shop Small Business Saturday, the day after Black Friday. I wanted to buy the African Raw Black soap that I read about online and the Egyptian Musk body oil. I bought both of these items along with Honey & Black seed soap and Cocoa Butter soap which both had great scents. I was impressed with the variety of different items that they carry, including the very colorful clothing made in Ghana. For men, they had mostly shirts to select from. They didn't have many pants in stock. The clothing prices were a little on the high side, especially the caps and sandals. I will definitely be coming back whenever I need more soap. read more
