Fortunately, the suit arrived early, so I had time before my interview. The suit itself fit very well, though the shirt didn't, so it was sent off for alterations to get that right. I'm currently a bit disappointed about the timing of the Covid-19 closure, since it started the day my shirt was supposed to be back, and now it's looking like it will be May before I'll have my shirt in hand. As for the material, I ended up selecting a higher grade fabric and was happy with the end result. It's still prone to wrinkles if mistreated, but those come out with a little steam (like any other quality suit).

The showroom displays options for suit colors and fabrics, but you may get something entirely…read moredifferent after they incorrectly label something. Their staff is not trained in fitting suits and it will be obvious when your pants are two sizes too big and six inches too short. The showroom employees have told me that they were unable to get a vest to fit me correctly because my "shoulders were too broad" and I don't "look like the mannequin". This coming from a store that makes "custom suits". I have suits off the rack at other stores that fit better, have higher quality fabric and cost much less. My bill was nearly $1k for a suit I never want to wear because of how bad it looks after multiple fittings with multiple team members at this store. The 6 weeks it takes to get a suit is for the store to send the order overseas to be made, this is what you are paying for. Save your time and money and go anywhere else.

And though I didn't end up getting one here, I had a great experience. Nicely organized, by style mainly, and service was great. Allison (I think) took my measurements, asked what I needed the coat for, etc., and pointed me at a couple of nice jackets. Good stuff, but more than I wanted to pay for something I maybe wear once a year. She gave me some tips on size, colors, etc., and sent me to another store- which was a good thing. They are owned by the same people as Joseph Banks and K&G, and she suggested the latter since I was looking for cheaper. Ended up getting one there, so though I feel bad she might have missed out on a commission her company did get some money eventually. I appreciated her help and will keep this in mind if I need something a bit better someday. Good service from the moment I walked in, helpful but not pushy; yes please.

Great experience at Men's Wearhouse. Went in looking for some Jeans and found the perfect pair…read more They were onsale too. Service was friendly and had plenty of space to try on and browse without being overly bothered. I have been in a couple times since and sales are hit or miss but I had definitely forget about Men's Wearhouse and their offerings since I got a suit there in 2015 and am definiely keeping an eye out for the deals here.

The prices match the nearby Marshall's and TJ Maxx, obviously. But you can find some deals. I always check out the pet area for treats and toys. You can also find Darn Tough socks sometimes. The wait in line usually isn't too bad. The last time I was there, November 2024, a guy stocking shelves was coughing loudly over the products.

When I was in the outdoor industry and needed new gear, STP was one of the first websites I'd check for gear. Even when my wife was an employee at a competing outdoor retailer (where I got a discount) I was still shopping online at STP. When I found out they were building a brick and mortar store here in Columbus I was beyond thrilled! As it is part of the TJX companies it still means that the store is a gamble when it comes to brands and sizes found. However, it makes a great starting point as you can easily search their site to see if there are other sizes, colors, etc available. Don't have a tiny pocket computer (aka a smart phone)? There's no need to fret! In store they even have a kiosk where you can search their online stock. My only real dislike of the physical store is that as of right now they do not accept the countless coupons that come to my email address. This may change soon as an employee recently told me that they would start honoring them. Until then, I will still order the bulk of my purchases from the website so I can use the frequent STP coupons. With the store so close it's super easy to return to the store with no hassle. This is extremely helpful when ordering shoes online as some outdoor brands use variations of European sizing that allow for greater fit specification. Recently I ordered two pairs of a boot to see if they would work for my job. Having a low volume super narrow foot they did not but, with the painless returns it was no problem. I even lucked out and found the perfect pair in store!
