Came here for dinner. Small restaurant in a small residential house. Server/Hostess welcomed us right away and seated us at our table.offered us water and our menu's. We decided on Bang Bang shrimp as an appetizer and Porkbelly rice dish and a cold beef noodle salad . We had asked for extra plates as we had planned on sharing the meals. Bang Bang shrimp were served fairly quick, but no extra plates. We asked our server for extra plates, which never arrived. Shrimps were delicious! When our mains arrived we once again asked for extra plates, which our server acknowledged , but never brought, we once again asked his extra plates and she brought us paper plates! The restaurant was clean and staff friendly. The food was just ok. Not bad not great. Not having fried rice was a bummer for me.

We drove over an hour to visit this place. It was so delicious. The outside is a bit dated but has so much potential. We waited for a table outside because it was a bit cramped inside but it's such a cozy little place. The food was all delicious. You could tell the food was made with heart. The star was definitely our server! She was an older lady and was just a kind lady. I loved her. She was very attentive and her personality just shines! I hope when we get to visit again she will be there. I was really hopeful to try an egg Sando but they didn't have any in the little fridge so I hope I can get one next time. My biggest recommendation is the apple honey tea! It was delicious! Especially on a cold day I got it hot and it was just so comforting. Came in for a drink and ordered a Dragon Fruit Tea and it wasn't want I expected. It tasted nice not great because, it was made with syrup. I was hoping for real dragon fruit pieces. We came across this place and went in, asked for a table of 8 but they said No table. We walked out but then I went back in and ask if we could combine 2 tables together. Luckily, we were able to eat here because it was so worth it. Maybe the wife / owner didn't understand but it worked out. This place also is single family owned: husband, wife, and a baby daughter. Small family owned restaurants have a special place in my heart Spicy rice cakes were amazing. Super soft with the right amount of chew plus that sweet, spicy sauce. The Korean fried chicken was one of the best fried chickens I've ever had. Super crispy (but not to the point of dry hard crispy) but that perfect crispy and it was so so juicy. Perfect combo: KFC + that spicy rice cake sauce. I don't remember the rest of the entrees we got but everything was good. I got the beef Sundubu I believe. So happy we finally tried this place. Got the Kimchi Jaeyuk Bokkeum and it was delicious! Just what I was hoping for. Nice and spicy but not spicy for no reason where there is only pain with no flavor. Shared the Baobun appetizer but could have happily eaten them both by myself. Husband got the spicy chicken ramen and loved it, even the miso soup was good! We are very excited to go back and try more of the menu. Our favorite restaurant in Crestview! We've tried almost everything on her menu and have loved it all. We have our favorites, the beef bulgogi or the tukagi bulgogi soup... even the bibmbap bowl are among our favorites. My husband really loves the tacos (without the sauce because he hates sauce) and the owner always knows who we are because of our special order. Hot Kim chi's owner treats her customers like family... she wants to make sure everyone loves her food & experience, so she goes above and beyond to make not only her sit down experience authentic but even her take home experience. We generally order to-go a lot because our little ones don't love Korean yet (but they will one day) and she always times it perfectly to get us the hottest freshest meal to go, we're never disappointed. Wow! Not only was I blown away by the taste of the dishes that I got , but the presentation was just as flawless ! It was our first visit and all though they were out of beef (heart broken) we ended up doing chicken bulgogi which was a pretty darn good back up! I ordered two main entrees, a stew and rice bowl, as well as a rice cake appetizer. All of this came to $50, which I thought was overpriced given the portion sizes. I was forced to do a takeout order, because I arrived 40 minutes before they were going to close at 3:00pm (and reopen at 4:45pm). I returned to retrieve my order 30 minutes later as directed and staff practically shoved me out of the door and locked it. The food came in plastic to-go containers the size of your hand.
