I'm not sure what's happened to this restaurant. The past few times that we've eaten food from Main Moon it hasn't been very good. I can't say that it was ever fantastic, but it used to be good. Most recently, I ordered chicken Teriyaki. Awful is the word that I have to use to describe that meal. Maybe it was the day or it could have been the cook at that particular moment, but it was awful. It's quite a shame really. Main Moon used to be a "go-to" for the occasional meal. We might try it again, but it will be awhile before we do. read more

So, I really don't know how this place gets the reviews that it does. We got the general tso chixken.." chefs special ". So I would think this would be a signature dish right? Not terrible, not amazing, just "ok" take out Chinese food. There are hardly any options in Milton to begin with (two to be specific). We ordered beef and snow peas, pork fried rice and orange chicken. The beef and snow peas was a disappointment. The snow peas were super soft and there were multiple pieces of beef that were too tough to chew. It was just left on way too long. So I just ate the soggy snow peas with my pork fried rice. The pork fried rice was good. The orange chicken smelled delightful and my husband seemed to like it. Basically, if I get another strong Chinese take out craving we'll be back. If not, we won't. It serves its purpose seeing as they're pretty much the only one around. read more

Definitely a weird vibe when you walk in the door because of the wide range of citizens that you will encounter (from meth heads to navy pilots and everything in between), and the lights being off on the outside of the place make it truly feel like you are in a new episode of The Walking Dead; However, when we tried the food, it was actually pretty good. Very good. Vegetables are fresh. They go light on the spices, though. I order the spicy items and ask them to ramp it up even hotter, but I think they assume if they do that it will be TOO SPICY... Prices are in line with typical Chinese take-out. Smaller lunch portions available. Young lady (13 years old?) has worked there for years with her family and is a real pro. My family orders dinner from here 2 -3 times a month. Always good & tasty food. Their soups are awesome. The place is a family run business with Dad & his crew in the kitchen, Mom filling takeout orders & working the counter, & in the summertime their kids help out answering the phone. Sometimes on Friday & Saturday night we may have to wait a bit, but that's ok, because this place is so popular. Oh yeah, they package all the large dishes in re-useable plastic ware.
