Finding a good Chinese place is always difficult when you move to a new town. Jin Jin was my first…read morego. The delivery was quick and accurate even considering the large order we placed. And the total bill was pretty cheap. On to the food: The Beef and Broccoli was hot and flavorful. The Sweet and Sour Chicken was good but I had to heat it up in the microwave. There were no peppers and pineapple chunks. That is big for me. The fried rice was bland and the pork was tiny and barely there. And I judge fried rice on color. It should be brown. This was yellow. The Wonton Soup was bland even adding soy sauce didn't help much. Speaking of sauces; they provided plenty of Sweet and Sour and the rest of the condiments were abundant. The boneless spare ribs were definitely flavorful but tiny strips were a turnoff for me. The Crab Rangoon was good. Hard to mess that up. As was the Fried Wonton with meat filling and Fried Chicken Wings. Finally the egg rolls were ehhh. I really struggled giving them only 3 stars, but it came down to the little things which I'm quirky about in judging good Chinese food. This is a small town with a few other places to try out. So only time will tell if this is the best Milton has to offer

I've been meaning to try this place since it opened and decided to check it out for my birthday…read moredinner this year. Four of us went and we all enjoyed it. Our waitress was incredible, very knowledgeable and patient with my families questions about the menu. She made the experience that much better! Food wise we had: -seaweed salad (standard but yummy, 7/10) -spicy cucumber salad (a table favorite, 9/10) -potstickers (another favorite, my niece is ready to return for these alone! 10/10) -chicken clay pot with rice (really good, but I wish there was some veg in there or something? Kind of one note, but still tasty. 7/10) -short rib clay pot (I didn't try this but my sister enjoyed it, 7/10) -Panang curry (a go to favorite, my niece is very happy to have another place in town to get it! She gave it a 10/10, I give it an 8. It was a little fishy for me and I prefer more liquid.) -eggplant in garlic sauce (this was a mixed reaction. My mom ordered it upon the waitresses advice that it wasn't too spicy but it actually ended up being too spicy for her to eat. I enjoyed it a lot though the texture of the eggplant was perfect and the flavors were very well balanced although it was the spiciest thing we had.8/10) -creme brulee milk tea with tapioca (I love boba but this was kind of boring.6/10) -cotton candy milk tea with rainbow jelly (14/10, the best I've ever had I think. We will come back for this again and again.!) Overall it was a really great experience and the pricing was quite reasonable, we got all that plus a couple sodas for $108 before the tip. The atmosphere is good, well lit, roomy booths, very clean and we liked the music.

Easy parking, cool vibes, great service, and I would say I don't doubt that Xian Noodle Place is…read moreone of the best if not the best Chinese spot in Pensacola. However, in writing this review, I have to compare to spots I've ranked with however many stars, which includes different spots around the country, and when compared to the rest of the field, the ballgame's a bit different. First off, I'm grateful Pensacola has Xian Noodle Place. There clearly aren't that many options here when it comes to authentic Chinese food (I was trying hard to find a place when I landed at the airport). When I walked in, the service was friendly and seating was immediate. There is a bar area and there is a large seating area. Trendy remixes of Chinese pop hits from years past were being played. This all is super cool. As people know from my past reviews, beef noodle soup is a big factor in my judging. And I saw beef noodle soup options on the menu here and asked about them, because I want to make sure I'm getting what I'm wanting here. I'll give credit to the server - she was completely honest that the flavoring of the beef noodle soup wasn't the hearty richly-seasoned version known in Taiwanese circles. So I ordered the roast duck noodle soup and soup dumplings instead. The roast duck noodle soup is absolutely solid. It does the trick. The broth is a basic chicken broth, noodles are fine, and the duck is plentiful, as one would expect. Good garnish, it's tasty and does the trick. The soup dumplings, I would say, are perhaps not what you would get at an establishment that makes their own. Again, it's tasty and does the trick, but likely about the same as if you went to your local Chinese supermarket and bought the soup dumplings from the frozen section and then prepped it at home. Total price after taxes and standard tip? Over $30. One person, one normally-sized bowl of duck soup noodles and five soup dumplings with sauce. I know Miami is extremely pricey for food, so perhaps this is a Florida thing, but $30 is a bit exorbitant for food that does the trick but isn't quite spectacular. Again, I'm sure there are other options here that are tasty, but considering the different factors, when comparing to others in the game beyond Pensacola, the bottom line is I'd say Xian Noodle Place is solid but not spectacular, and also fairly pricey for the level of food served.
