She came back and said "Your ticket had got accidentally set aside. They're working on your order now". I'm grateful for the explanation, but I don't appreciate zero apology. 7 minutes later they brought out my husbands sandwich, which he was able to eat, but was definitely not his order. He had to pick off mushrooms that he dislikes and there were a couple other things on his sandwich he doesn't care for. Still no apology for the delay. It was another 7 minutes before my sandwich and our fries came out. My sandwich was correct, thankfully. No one apologized or offered a cookie or anything for our inconvenience. The food wasn't bad, but service and not caring about customers are problems. It was a total of 45 minutes from time of order till all food was received. And no one ever apologized for the delays and mixups of our meal. In the past I would've given this location a great review based on friendliness and service of the manger we used to see there. The two problems with this specific location are: the staff and handling of foods with allergies. As for my allergy, they handled it like every other shop - wiped down the machine and the areas around the line, they also put my bread on a different paper, and changed gloves. Where the issue happened was that the newer guy used the mayo that was on the line, which the knife was on non-gluten bread so cross contamination happened. This is just a good relearning moment on allergies for your staff. Every other Jersey Mike's uses the squeeze bottles for allergies. Not sure if this was just a new person who didn't know, but nobody else guided him to do anything differently.
