I was quickly seated and served a basket of warm chips and a thick delicious salsa. My drink came soon after. I opted for the steak street tacos which were the special today. The meat was well seasoned and tender. The tacos had a nice mix of cilantro and onion. The side of rice was average and not a favorite with me. The service was top notch. Wait staff was friendly and checked on me regularly. The restaurant was pretty clean although the entrance and doors could use a cleaning. I'd return when back in the area.

The entire resteraunt smells of sewer gas, likely from aged vent pipe issues and when I asked for one extra sour cream for an XL soapapilla the waitress told me that costs extra then promptly turned and walked away. Hubs had the smothered chicken burrito and said it was fantastic. One huge burrito stuffed with rice, beans, meat) with queso Blanco poured over the top. There may have been more inside the burrito. I ordered the "any 3 Tacos for $10" Special and enjoyed chicken, carnitas, baria with consume. I'm a big barra fan and never pass up the opportunity to find great baria. Loved it! I scraped the protein out of the tacos for a lower carb lunch with the zucchini and really enjoyed my meal. We agreed we would return next time we are in Newark. By the way, we were there to tour the newest UNISCO World Heritage Site- the Great Circle Ceremonial Earthworks. The museum is open Thursday-Sunday from 10-4. At 2:00 a Docent hosts a tour of the circle. Best $10 I've spent in a long time! Make a half day of it and visit the Earthworks and Mariposa while in Newark.
