We ordered sandwiches while traveling through Maine. They weren't ready when estimated but they…read morewere accurate. Gluten free and vegetarian options available. I ordered the caprese sandwich with spinach instead of tomato and added tempeh. I was disappointed that the tempeh was smoked. A different flavor would have been better (pesto, plain). We all enjoyed the sandwiches. The ambiance was casual with music themed artwork on the walls. Tables were available inside and out. There was one high chair for our baby. Very convenient. The bathroom was clean and had everything we needed.

On our way, we were hoping for an excellent lunch, and Harvest Moon deli had good reviews, so we figured it was worth a try. The menu is a cute idea - themed around music (and presumably the name of the deli itself is after Neil Young, but not positive). There are a lot of options to choose from, but I landed on the chicken salad sandwich just because it's a classic and I was really in the mood for some. My sandwich was a disappointment. The bread was somewhat dry (especially the crust), the chicken salad itself was also dry as well. It was not flavorful, either. My husband's club sandwich had too much mayonnaise on it, so he ended up donating some of his mayo to my dry sandwich cause. (I didn't try his sandwich, but since his was toasted, he didn't experience the same dry bread issues). The deli seating area and bathroom was clean, and the staff were friendly and the service was fast. I probably would give this another try someday if we needed to have lunch on the way up again, and I'd get something entirely different to compare.

I absolutely love this place. Great food and great atmosphere. Great service, sometimes…read more However, you guys need to get someone else in front of that register. The young brunette that typically operates the cash register has the personality of a turnip. Never smiles, barely says anything to you when you order, if anything at all. Zero customer service skills. I'm not inspired what so ever to tip 20% when she is working as she comes across and being incredibly unfriendly and like she would rather be anywhere but here. There are job fields this would be well suited for, but this is not one of them.

It's been a while. I figured there would be new, and hopefully friendlier, staff. I was half right. There was new staff, but unfortunately, they were as unwelcoming as the last batch. This place has no prices on any of the premade sandwiches or pastries in their cases (why??), so we asked "Hey there, how much are your pies and cookies?". The employee was in the lobby sweeping and said "I'm not sure. Somewhere between $3- $5. Maybe more". She doesn't look up. Doesn't offer more clarity. She just shrugged this non-answer to us and carried on. It was awkward. So my husband, trying to make light of it, says "Sounds like it's up for debate so how about I give you $2.50" and this girl gives us a dour look and snaps "Well, I'm not behind the cash register so I can't look at the prices, can I?". So, we have now learned our lesson with this place twice. Not sure what it is about the culture there that results in such bad service years apart and by different people. We won't be returning.

The hummus is the bomb. The best I've ever had! Three in our party had the pork loin. One had the chicken. All very good. They were very accommodating to our gluten allergy. We will definitely dine here again when in the area.

At first the place looked great - except for the lump of plants in a disarray -I'd remove them --…read moreand food seemed fine - some stuff. Wait staff flying thru and bringing dishes minutes after forcing parties to wait to eat. Winter time - icy parking lot - HUGE big truck at doorway - No handicapped was available. Decided to try again - again food straggles out - the prices went up as well - the salad they give for a $25 plate of food is served in a child kitchen dishes set - am I wrong?--- (also went up a $30) Smart TV playing all the magnificent journey the owner went on. Here is a poor town with many people desperately trying to make ends meet. 1. Most can't afford this prices- $30 -requires a real full dish salad - 2. Most people want to be able to enjoy all eateries, fairs, parades, festivals, ice cream stands, food stands instead of running to local bodega for a piece of beef jersey and a beer. 3. The ready made food is ok sometimes but I'd love to have a porterhouse and king crab legs too - and choose to order -- not just what is made for the day. We tried the burrito- they add potatoes- no one ever adds potatoes- and they won't take the out. White potato is inflammatory- can't eat it. Was hoping breakfast items had more Gluten free variety & dairy alternatives: goat milk - lots of goat farms around - all sell goat milk in supermarkets- I checked I think this area suffers enough and everyone should experience a meal in any eatery in Dover Foxcroft- You all represent businesses in the area and the communities people pay your bill(s). I'd love to see more accommodating prices - open every day so ALL MAINERS can find a seat at your establishment. MAke affordable meals as well as your expensive ones ---People should choose. DId you say cake? can you cut a real normal piece? this is not NYC- only place ever served so ski skimpy like yours ---was at Tavern on The Green--NYC Other things distracting- owners sitting with "special or favorite" Again- small town - Owners-Chef should greet and hear compliments from all patrons. All patrons should be able to give constructive criticism on what they are served. I can critique as we had a very successful restaurant and a grocery store. Being part of community- store owners have an obligation to uphold certain business ethics as they enrich the community and the community looks at you and how you handle your staff and your store. We hope to see and hear changes so all people who expressed the issues at your store can walk in and have dinner without breaking the bank or robbing money from Little Lucia's piggy bank. GOD BLESS Be the Example
