Disgustingly salty and over fried chicken strips. Had no reason to be on pickles from a can or lettuce etc
    Tanya T.

Came here at around 2-3pm. Extremely salty and dry chicken and fries, the sauce and chicken strips was HORRIBLE (soooo salty and hot was an after thought) terrible (untrained) customer service, an overall waste of money. Save yourself the salt intake and your hard-earned money and get better food at the cafe. I seriously don't know who vetted these horrible food services to serve at the casino especially since its only been two going on three months. The most common visitors are elderly folks and this type of food quality would be dangerous or even futile for them! Hot Chicken needs to cease serving food.

    raw chicken drum still clucking.

First time eating here. The breaded chicken wings sounded appetizing so i decided to order. Once the order came out, chicken came out very chewy and saltier than the ocean sea. I realized the chicken wasnt fully cooked and tossed them. Will not be coming bacock to this restaurant.

We ordered with the cashier and then they brought out our food in about 15 mins. We got some sliders, tenders, and the tender salad. The chicken was good and juicy, and the signature sauce was also tasty. I also appreciated that they had the condiments and utensils out so we could grab what we needed without having to ask for it. Service was alright, nothing impressive but not terrible. Plenty of parking available since it's located in a plaza with different stores like Walmart. The restroom was clean but was out of toilet paper so we had to take it from the other restroom.

I was excited to see that Nash and Tenders expanded their locations to Elk Grove, but the quality was abysmal in comparison. Service was also ok. Not very friendly. Food took quite a while to come out -- the longest I've ever waited. I thought it would be a quick meal and we would get out of there quickly but was proven wrong. The seasoning on the chicken was minimal and not spread out evenly, even though I had gotten the hottest flavor (Call the Firefighters). It was not very hot. The chicken was also dry and the breading didn't feel the same either. The bread didn't taste very fresh either. The seasoning on the fries were also not spread out evenly. It was only on the top layer and the bottom half of the fries were unseasoned. The lemonade was not sour and tasted watered down. Really disappointing because I love Nash + Tender's lemonade. It always paired well with the food, but not this time. There was not really a good ambiance as well. The mood of the store was depressing. Lighting was bad and the place felt a little run down. I came here at night, for reference. Also, I had to wait five minutes in the front to request a togo container before someone came by even though two employees (chef and other worker) were directly across the way and saw me waiting. They were chatting away and didn't even bother to say they would be right there. The chef I understand not coming to help, but the other girl was just chatting with the chef, playing around with plastic bags and not even really doing anything. I had to wait for another worker to finish cleaning up in the back to come help me and give me a togo container. It seemed like that employee was the only one really doing anything around the restaurant. They definitely run a tighter management in Lodi and Stockton. The vibe was just completely different here. I quite honestly regretted getting my entire meal and hated my experience. I would not come back to this location. It does not compare to the original two locations at all.

The restaurant still looks the same and you can dine inside again. I'm glad they survived COVID. I recently called in an order so I wouldn't have to wait for my food when I got there. The server/girl who answered the phone was really nice and great. She got my order down quickly and efficiently. I ordered the combo plate with half fried chicken, longanisa, upgraded to garlic rice and got extra gravy. I also ordered a side of 6 piece pork lumpia as well. The food is as good as always. It is a lot of food so I got 2 meals out of it. It really hit the spot. My only complaint was the rice tasted old since the texture was like day old rice and really dry. There is plenty of parking in the plaza as well. I'll have to remember to come back here soon.

Lots of take away orders being picked up, but there are dining tables and chairs to eat in as well. Chicken came out hot and crispy, meat was a tad of the drier sauce, and is served a long with a side of gravy. Which offset the dryness pretty well. I'd definitely go back and could consider this spot for catering in the future as well.

We had a pleasant cucumber salad in place of kimchi this time. It was a refreshing mix of onions, scallions, and Korean red chili powder yet not spicy. It was great to balance the spicy tteokbokki! The scallions, onions in hot pepper sauce, and melty mozzarella cheese were delightful Seating was nice and open and the simple wood tables and chairs were nice and felt homely too. So when I arrive and noticed that this other chicken was being sold, I just had to try it. I arrived around lunch time and ordered a 3-piece Chicken Combo for $7.99. I was told I could pick any three pieces, but limited to only one breast as a selection. I ordered a breast and two thighs and it came with a Honey Butter Biscuit. I took my order to go and found a nice shady spot to eat. Chicken only has a spicy chicken on their chicken sandwiches, so my order consisted of the only option of 'regular' or 'original' or non-spicy. I was amazed with the seasoning, it was salty, it was peppery and definitely had a hint of spiciness to it. And the CRUNCH, boy was this chicken crispy. I instantly became a fan of Chicken King. One week later, I felt like fried chicken again and decided to drive back over to Chicken King to satisfy my cravings. This chicken was for dinner and I ended up arriving about 4:30pm. There was a lot of chicken under them heat lamps and the guy behind the counter told me they had a new cook and he made a little too much for the lunch crowd. I asked how long that chicken was sitting under them lamps and he went to the back to look at the ledger and returned to tell me that some pieces have been there for two hours. Their policy/process is to throw out four hour old chicken. So, if I wanted any chicken, I had to take what they had. I deal get a deal on what I bought that day, but it wasn't worth it, as my wife couldn't eat the drumstick with a fork. It was too dry to pull the dark meat off of that chicken leg. I tried another drumstick to find it inedible. This was strike one. Just yesterday (one week later again), I wanted fried chicken and arrived at 1pm, during the lunch hours or what should have been their lunch hours. I ordered a 16 piece chicken only and received an assortment of two breasts, four thighs and the rest drums and wings. Once again, the drumsticks were terrible. Every other piece of chicken was hot and juicy with each bite. Not them drums though..... Like I said in the beginning, Chicken King has some real potential. It can't be easy to offer quality fried chicken at a gas station at all times of the day, but their process needs to be adjusted for overage and maybe just make the chicken 'made to order'. It may take longer, but those that buy your chicken will appreciate the special effort, quality and integrity of your fried chicken. I'll keep coming back during lunch hours, but I'll stay away from your drumsticks.

It's a small place however there are plenty of tables and kept tidy. The staff are quick to clear up tables for other guests. Although there are posted signs for guests to help clear their own baskets and tables, not all guests are courteous and disciplined enough to do so (booo!!!). There's ample parking though it can get full especially during peak times. This spot has very good fried fish! And their fish and chips combo meals are reasonably priced. I usually order the 3 piece fish combo ($16.50) or 1 piece with 4 prawns ($14). Served with 2 containers of tartar sauce and additional is only $0.50 each. Vinegar is offered though you'd have to request for it. The staff are always courteous and very efficient.
