We complain to the worker there that the cabin looked like someone had stayed there already everything was used and she replys by saying that no they only had a company come in the room to disinfect the place and there workers probably used the room.. and she proceeds to just do the bed. Mind you the bed and everything in the room was USED it was unsanitary!!! We wanted a refund and since we booked with expedia they told us we had to call expedia for a refund and getting a hold of expedia customer service was a hassle. It was the worst experience ever! This was our third and unfortunately last time we will be staying at this place. This rancho is beautiful...reason why we have been back a few times. There have always been the "little" things that could use some improvement or just plain fixing...but we have always just managed to deal with them. HOWEVER, This last visit experience was the last stare. It was HOT! After traveling all day you would of loved to get to your pricey place ready to greet you. We walked into a sauna with the room refrigerator and air OFF! If your expecting guest....HAVE THE ROOM READY! That was just the beginning. We were told "oh the air con in your room is broken at this time". Wtf!!!! Seriously!! Change my room please!! That happened so quickly. Thank god we were the only ones there during what we were told was "high season!" Lol!! So we had our choice of a different cabana (1 of 8). Needless to say air con in each room is poor. I get the whole saving energy and cost...but Just have it ready for guest when they arrive. Next were all the other little things that added up...poor shower heads, broken toilet seats, poor coffee accommodations (instant coffee in a zip lock back for a grounds coffee make), broken toilet paper holder, unfinished hardware, poor screen doors, and POOR TV connection, used bathroom toiletries! And icing was this in-personable greeting of the owner after dealing with all this craziness! "And who are you again?" "Oh BUT we have portable fans!! Really....it's ok not to know guest personably...but be a little more discreet and professional greeting would be nice for peets sake. We brought guest with us and ranted about this place only to experience the worst! Simply put this Cabana was not worth half the price the owner charged for a two night stay during a "high season". Outside of the cabana...property is beautiful with lots of successful potential. Beds are comfortable for sure! Vineyard views are breathtaking...however...the habitat experience is huge!! For what is advertised....it's half the greatness. Some many little things needing attention...if done, this could be a great place to stay! Will no longer be back, and will no longer recommend. There are also dorm rooms with bunk beds and shared bathrooms. The common area is nice with a large couch, a kitchen for cooking and storing food and a TV. Pacific Beach is a few steps away with plenty of dining options around. I had a nice time here. You can't beat the price to stay so close to the ocean. The staff was great and gave me a tour of the facility when I arrived. You can rent equipment like surfboards, bikes, skateboards, beach towels, etc from the front office. California Dreams has everything you need to make your beach experience fun. They also run a coffee shop outside in the mornings.

Open 24 hours, whenever you feel hungry you can make some foods. Hot water, coffee machine,....always ready for you. Laundry: $1 for wash and $1 for dry. Only quarter so you can get change at cashier. A little but old system but good condition and working very well. Customer service: They have so many people who work as a receptionist at different time. I lived here 2 weeks and met all. All of them is friendly, kindly, helful and professional. Impressive work!!! We were provided with bedding and towels. The rooms were large and there was a ton of bathrooms. The beds were pretty comfortable. Was happily surprised by the amenities - a game room and a movie room and a really large kitchen. Also a perk that they had free breakfast. Only complaint is that they don't have a heater on in the hallways so it's freezing. Also it's not very soundproof so it's very loud being so close to the gas lamp quarter.

Theres a break out front and some breaks to the north. I booked this spot on Airbnb in July and it was perfect for a young group of people. The staff at the time spoke only Spanish, but luckily we had some speakers in our group to get the check-in info. The facilities are clean, and there is a convenient room for showering, storing boards, and wetsuits. We will definitely consider staying here again

The two meats included with the 2 person dish were a little overcooked, but still tasted great with the guacamole.
