There are 8 parking spaces conveniently located at the front. The property has three sweet and old dogs named Yogi, Vanilla, and Chocolate. They like to approach people and greet; just don't try to pet them. The outdoor space consists of a shaded and lit cabana, grill, jacuzzi, and two hammocks over fresh grass. There is also a nice outdoor area for visitors to sit and eat on picnic benches. We were a big party, so we reserved 6 rooms (rooms1-6); I stayed in room 2. The white bed sheets were clean, the furniture was dated, the walls are painted, but chipped. The bathroom and shower were not clean to my expectations. Before using the bathroom sink and shower, make sure to run the water for a few minutes because a foul order came up from the water being stagnant during their down times. Your free breakfast options are very delicious chilaquiles, machaca, omelette, huevos rancheros, frijjoles, and fresh and delicious fruit! Everyone working there was very nice!

I felt comfortable relaxing here and not having to leave for dinner . I was able to drink delicious drinks made by Alberto . No need to drink and drive since they have a full bar . Mauricio and Rubén did everything they could to keep us comfortable . My two young kids loved it here they still ask for the Nutella pancakes . My boyfriend has visited Mexico several times, and stayed at La Fonda. After hearing his stories, I decided to try it out. Upon arriving Friday afternoon, Sara greeted us at the checkin counter. The property is beautiful. Google Maps doesn't do it justice from the street. Dmytri was sitting at the bar and was a pleasure. Sara gave us our room key and told us where to go to find out room. When we entered our room, we were impressed with the awesome fireplace and view of the ocean from our bed. As we were unpacking, we noticed ants were crawling near and around the fireplace. We told Sara, and she had her staff come and take care of the issue quickly. I also noticed we only had two pillows on our king bed, and asked for two additional pillows. The staff quickly delivered the pillows, and told us they can bring firewood and light the fireplace if we were interested. We also requested two additional towels since the room only came with two. Each day we received four fresh towels. By our third night sleeping on the mattress, our backs and arms were killing us. The bed was horrible. But who cares when you can watch the dolphins in the morning? But they seriously need a new bed. The food was AMAZING! I have traveled all over the United States and have eaten at some of the top restaurants... this place rocks! I never would have guessed it. The staff and the wonderful owners are beyond welcoming. You truly feel as though you are home. I felt safe, welcomed, and enjoyed my stay. Sunday brunch, that my boyfriend and I call "Drunch," was AWESOME!!!! Endless margaritas and bloody mary's, amazing food from their menu, freshly made tortillas. Yum! We hung out from 10am until around 2 or 3pm. There was no need to leave. Great food, drinks, ocean view, and conversation. Yes, we did have some minor hiccups that were quickly corrected. I will stay here again!! If you are a picky person who expects luxury or some kind of high end something or other, then La Fonda isn't for you. If you are the type of person who enjoys the rustic beauty of Mexico, amazing food, great staff and owners, then come to La Fonda. The place has character. Oh! And the new spa is beautiful. This lovely hotel is perched on the top of a hill surrounded by natural flora as well as vineyards. The lobby is more like a living room with cold rosemary water and scones for the nibbling. The gardens for the hotel and restaurant are just outside along with various paths that lead to the other locations. They cook you breakfast when you want in the morning, and have lots of treats while you wait: fresh squeezed juice, homemade yogurt (wow), fresh fruit, baked goods and more. The pool area I won't even describe because I want to leave some mystery, but I will say it was a highlight. The wines of Vina Cava were some of the best of our trip, and the architecture of the winery was totally unique (the roof is made of upturned boats). I so highly recommend this place.
